FEATURED ON HGTV's LIVING CHANNEL AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 HOMES - Have you ever wondered what it would feel like living aboard a floating home? Imagine waking to the gentle cradle of a river's current and feeling blessed enough to be able to experience the tranquility of life on the river. Serenity awaits you at our home.
Whether you are a business traveler seeking rejuvenating solitude, a romantic couple looking to rediscover one another, an artist waiting to be inspired again, an adventurer looking to explore God’s country, or a family in need of precious time together, just to share with one another, this is a home-away-from home guaranteed to sooth your soul.
Can you imagine, vision yourself basking in the stillness of the morning sun, stretched out on a cushy lounge chair, drinking a steaming cup of freshly brewed, Northwest coffee from our panoramic floating deck? Breath in the beauty of nature as the sun rises before you reflecting off the tranquil water. Witness the morning routine of our resident otters and beaver as you soak in our second story 'Lookout Tower' spa.
In the evening feel free to defy the darkness by lighting a bon-fire in the custom fire pit, while your line drifts with the river’s current anticipating a tug on your line from a nocturnal channel catfish swimming deep below. Gazing at your pole, your mind congers up visions of pan-fried channel catfish over roasted potatoes, mmm, dinner awaits you.
You will experience nature as never before, without ever leaving our home. The Pacific Northwest is known as Salmon Nation, from the house you can witness these majestic fish throughout the seasons as they breakwater searching to find their way upstream to spawn, fulfilling their life’s destiny. You will hear the Osprey cry out as they call to one another, circling high above, surveying the river for their prey. The Great Blue Herron, Bald Eagle, a variety of Geese, and exotic Ducks are no strangers to our back yard. Come experience river life for yourself.
This is much more than a vacation, it is an opportunity allowing you to take in the beauty of nature. If you had previously considered taking your family on vacation elsewhere, reconsider. You can forget about the theme parks in the big cities with their unavoidable crowds; this is one vacation that you will never forget. Bring your family to the end of The Oregon trail where the real adventure begins.
Oregon, The Original Adventure Land.
P.S. The house is nice too.

Married Sept. 8, 1967, we have two children a boy and girl Cody & Corrin, we also have one grandson Jack. We built these homes and retired in the early 2000's from the building industry.
Joyce Crone purchased this house boat in 1995
We have always been drawn to the outdoors, we started water skiing in the late 50's so a home on the water was a natural progression. We thought about buying a sailboat and sailing away into the sunset but after reading all the Readers Digest horror stories we settled on a floating home.
Where else can you get up in the morning and go fishing setting in you easy chair or go for a canoe ride before breakfast.
We went for New Years Eve and my birthday with two other couples. Was comfortable for us all, a great place to stay in and celebrate. Would love to stay during the summer to take advantage of the water for more than just the view. Love this place. We will be back!
We unfortunately just came back from a great vacation in Oregon and renting the "floating house made a huge difference. The location of the house was awesome. Being right on the water was so relaxing. In the mornings my sister would do her swim and in the evenings we would all sit around the dock enjoying a great fire around the fire pit. The house was great and the beds comfortable. The open kitchen was perfect for making homemade dinners.
You can't beat the view from the large downstairs window. It made for a very memorable vacation. You won't go wrong by renting this house.
This was a wonderful location to enjoy the water. The home is lovely and comfortable. I plan on going back in the fall for a different adventure.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was incredibly peaceful to sit on the deck and do a little fishing and just enjoy the view.
We will definitely come back again!
This was a wonderful property to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature of Oregon and the have our family together with just enough space that you are not on top of each other. The deck of the rear of the home was where we spent time fishing or relaxing by a fire. The cleaning and maintenance personnel were always friendly and helpful. We had a great time in this historical town and attempted to take in as much sight seeing as possible.
I would fully recommend this location to anyone wanting to have a peaceful spot close enough to downtown Portland but still far enough away that you are enjoying all the beautiful nature in the state of Oregon.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our time here. We spent the mornings having coffee in the comfy living room and having cocktails in the evening on the deck. It was fun to watch people boating on the river and learning the history of the waterfalls down river. We also walked into town a couple afternoons. We had a few problems but they were taken care of right away. The property's manager lives down the way and was there to help us with whatever we needed. The first morning the coffeemaker did not work. We called him and he came right over with another one for us. The only concern is the location of the hot tub. I wouldn't recommend it for kids or the elderly as it is hard to get into and we were unable to remove the cover or put it back on ourselves. But overall, this is a very clean and fun place to stay.
