About Joyce Crone
Married Sept. 8, 1967, we have two children a boy and girl Cody & Corrin, we also have one grandson Jack. We built these homes and retired in the early 2000's from the building industry.
Joyce Crone purchased this House Boat in 1995
Why Joyce Crone chose Canemah
We have always been drawn to the outdoors, we started water skiing in the late 50's so a home on the water was a natural progression. We thought about buying a sailboat and sailing away into the sunset but after reading all the Readers Digest horror stories we settled on a floating home.

Dream Portland getaway
The house was spectacular in every respect. Everyone loved staying there. Having to wash the towels was a bit of a hassle but if that’s the only way to stay here it is worth it. Being on the water made you aware that there could be a mishap (lost cell phones or keys) but we had none so it was fantastic.
Beautiful floating home on the Willamette River in Oregon City
Such a lovely home with a phenomenal view!
The upstairs master bedroom is amazing! Two little red chairs looking over the river, a settee and a recliner, with a separate sitting area with a tv. Laundry on 2nd floor. Master shower behind glass block, very cool!
Hot tub on upper deck.
Lower deck has a wonderful, large, round fire pit and plenty of seating.
We saw a floating plane land and take off on the river right on front of the deck!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this property is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Thank you Joyce! Everything was beyond our expectations.
Nice and refreshing place to stay.
Everything was great with this property, except for the bed in the master bedroom. The center of the bed was so worn out that we felt like we were sleeping in a hammock, with a foam cushion on top. I am not exaggerating on this bed. We turned sideways on the bed, but still ended up rolling into each other. My husband slept on the floor after a few hours of tossing and turning on this bed. We would definitely stay there again, if the bed was changed out.
Love, love, love this place!!!
Had a great time again in the main house. Lots of time with family and friends wakeboarding, surfing, jetsurfing, swimming, canoeing, and hot tubbing. Fire pit one evening looking out at the gorgeous sunset was a real treat, as well. Greg, our caretaker on site, was very helpful whenever we had an issue. Thanks again for another great vacation in your beautiful home.
Stay in Oregon City
This place was amazing I rented this home due to my daughters passing and had to get enough room for large group. The stay was so calm and away from general population we were able to converse and grieve without the hassle of others
Much better than a Five Star home
The pictures simply do not do the property justice. Everything inside is amazing, the care takers live next door so if you need anything there is always someone there to help. The outside deck can only be described as spectacular, especially if you sit out side an use the fire pit.
Relaxing on the deck watching the river pass by, Fishing off the deck from your lounge chair, Sitting, around the fire at night with your family roasting marshmallows, Lounging, in the hot tub, watching the sunrise with a good cup of coffee, Swimming and skiing off the deck itGÇÖs just one step away, Sun Bathing while reading a good book, Roasting hot dogs over a open fire, Going for a Canoe ride, while watching the sunset, Feeding, the wildlife, Geese, Ducks and Fish, Riverside Dining, and much more
