Aloha, Just another runaway babyboomer from the west coast, nestling in the big island style of life for the past 17 years . The aloha spirit is alive and abundant in our wonderful country home in Keopu Mauka. My second love (after my wonderful Wayne) are horses (2 on property) and my best example is my pride and joy, Gilda, a Friesian Mare and her Colt who is not so young anymore, born Sept. 13th 2011. I am a Realtor Estate Broker here on the Big Island. I have been in Real Estate here since 2000. Mahalo for considering our little Cottage.

Tranquility at it's best!
Great property with attentive owners. We hated to leave.
Sidnie, Wayne and Bella (the friendly dog) were welcoming hosts. The cottage was a peaceful oasis after days of exploring. Falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and waking up to the birds singing and horses grazing was a little bit of heaven. I anticipated having a microwave as described, but there was a toaster oven in its place. The pool was also having a bout with algae, but I was off snorkeling in the ocean anyhow. The hosts provided beach towels, so I didn’t have to pack this bulky item in my bag. And the bath towels and bath mats provided were lush and comfortable, like the cottage. It’s about a 15 min drive from the ranch down to the coast and was well worth the restful evenings. Beautiful stay.
Beautiful, Peaceful, and Unique
We typically stay on the beach for our vacations and decided to try something different. The cottage is small, but very adequate with a queen bed, large closet, spacious bath, and small counter with toaster oven and refrigerator. It was very clean. Due to a family emergency Sidnie had to travel stateside and Wayne soloed as host. He is such a nice man with a great smile and sense of humor. Bella greeted us every morning on the porch of the cottage. Horses graze the property and were usually outside our window in the morning. We fell asleep to the sounds of frogs at night. It’s just a very unique place. Would we stay there again, yes. I would suggest if possible to install a fan or desk fan for circulation. Mahalo
Great hospitality and a beautiful setting!
Thank you for a wonderful experience! The ranch is serene and well manicured with beautiful views. The cottage is laid out well and very clean. The hosts are so hospitable and kind. We are so glad we chose this over any hotel or condo option we could have gone with. What can we say - we hated to leave!!
Private and beautiful, with urban life a short drive away
Sidnie and Wayne were great hosts. They took care of us when we got sunburned on the first day and provided plenty of useful recommendations for ways to still explore/enjoy the island while our skin healed. The place is up on a hill, providing an amazing view of the ocean. The location feels private and remote, but it's only a short drive (10-ish minutes) into town, where you can find restaurants, bars and plenty of other things to keep you busy.
Could not have been better. Great hosts, dog, house, etc...
