Almost Heaven...

  • 5 of 5

Being in the Amish countryside for four nights away from the world of technology and the rush was a Godsend for us. There is a lot to be said for an escape that feels like you are transcended back in time that can be so healing for the soul.

I thank Loren and Denise for providing such a great haven for my husband and myself, and also for welcoming our six year old pug as well. We felt welcomed by their warm hospitality from the moment we arrived in this clean and comfortable home.

While there we sat on the deck enjoying the quiet, walked the trails a few times, and enjoyed a breakfast at Barbie's place and a dinner at Beezer's Bar & Grill. The food was good and the restaurant patrons struck up an easy conversation with us.

We highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing place to stay. It was a perfect escape for us!

Thank you Loren & Denise

Out of a postcard

  • 5 of 5

We booked the farmhouse initially for convenience, as it was only 4 miles from a music festival that weekend. The owners were quick, responsive, flexible and very friendly. The pictures on the website, as stated before, does not do the property justice.

The home was perfect for a small group and we thought of how much room there would be to pitch a tent if able to bring more people in the future to enjoy all the property has to offer. The addition of the bedroom was a modern touch, all while having the feeling of an old farmhouse. The photos of family on the wall, and the original farmhouse, added to the character.

And as stated earlier, the sounds of the Amish buggies was a joy. So close to the front porch, and on a Sunday morning, about 20 buggies came by.

We will rent this place again, for the music festival, or just to relax.

Amazing place!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, this farmhouse exceeded our expectations. We slept more here than we have ever slept anyplace else.

The farmhouse is bigger than it looks. The bedroom, oh the bedroom is so beautiful. What a view. Comfortable bed and a breeze that should be bottled.

Mr. and Mrs. Erickson couldn't have been any nicer with places to go and ideas of things to do. We have already booked two more trips this year because of the location of this house. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here. This place will really put your life in perspective.

A piece of Heaven nestled in Amish country, WI

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven. The owners are friendly and so easy to work with. We choose this location, since we wanted to explore the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail and it was perfect! The location was great and the neighbors were awesome, including the rooster who crowed all day! Quit, peaceful and serene! Just outside of town, with wildlife abundant, we definitely plan on staying there again! Thank you to the owners for opening up this amazing little home to us!

Beautiful Country Escape

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful country side! It was a great way to "unplug" and let life slow down. So enjoyed having the kitchen to cook meals in and enjoyed eating outside overlooking the beautiful hills of Wisconsin. If you are looking for the simple life - it's here!
