Bedrooms 3
Property type farmhouse
Minimum Stay 3 - 10 nights

Photos and Description of this Bridgehampton holiday farmhouse

Farmhouse, 3 Bedrooms 3 Baths, plus loft (Sleeps 7)

A sweet typical cedar shake cottage amidst the bustling summer hot spot of Long Island's Hamptons. The house dates from the late 1800's and has much of it's original cozy charm. The house is situated on a beautiful street, right off the main thoroughfare of Bridgehampton town. It is extremely close to the train station as well as the Hampton Jitney stop allowing easy access to the house as well as neighboring towns.

The house is just an adorable place to spend lazy summer days at the beach, in town or at home for a family barbeque.

The house is conveniently located walking distance from the train as well as the town of Bridgehampton. It is just a short stroll to multiple restaurants including Pierre's, Bobby Vans, Almond and Topping Rose as well as Starbucks. There are also plenty of shops including antique stores, clothing stores and home decorating stores. Bridgehampton is a bustling Hampton located approximately 8 minute drive to Sag Harbor, 10-15 minutes to East Hampton and Southampton.

The house is also located just a few minutes from Channing Daughters Vineyard and a short bike ride to the Hampton classic horse show. The house is also a short bicycle ride to a private beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Overall, Bridgehampton is centrally located, private and plentiful of great restaurants and shopping.

The house is equipped with beautiful decor, 4 flat screen tv's, pool, outdoor deck, grill, cable, surround sound, free Wi-Fi, and four cruiser bicycles for riding around town. The house also features 2 DVD players with films for your enjoyment. The house is also equipped with luxurious linens and towels as well as pots and pans and dishes.

Overall, the house is appointed with beautiful decor and style. It is a cozy cottage close to all village amenities and outdoor activities

About The Owner

I am a fashion photographer that lives principally in New York City. Prior to becoming a photographer, I spent 12 years as a stylist in the fashion industry. This is where my love of creating cozy and unique spaces in which to entertain and live. I have lovingly restored this cottage and plan to continue to do so for the next few years. This is my first project in restoration outside of New York City.

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2010

Why The Owner chose Hamptons

Buying in the Hamptons is a no brainer. It is an amazing place to live and offers all of the sophistication of New York City in a beautiful atmosphere with both beach and vineyards. I love to spend time here and just take a break from the hectic life that I often live. It is just a perfect place to spend my weekends.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The absolute best benefits are the home's proximity to the beach and town and to local shopping. There are several beautiful restaurants just around the corner from the house as well as excellent shopping and outdoor activities.

Charming cottage near Bridgehampton village

  • 5 of 5

Charming only scratches the surface. Chris' cottage is perfectly located a few blocks away from Bridgehampton and conveniently close to both Southampton and Sag Harbor. Our group rented the house to celebrate Thanksgiving out east. We brought our pups who were tremendously happy to run around the fenced backyard. The home has a ton of character with a wide open and cozy living and dining area on the first floor with a state of the art kitchen to boot. Chris was very hospitable, communicative and welcoming. The only drawback is the home's proximity to the LIR which for us wasn't too much of hassle but might be a bit problematic for couples with young children. The house also boasts a pool for the summer months. Great taste and welcoming hosts always render a good stay.

Beware noise from the train!

  • 1 of 5

Train track is right next to the house and a passes 12 times a day, including at 3am. The house rumbles and the horn wakes everyone up. The description in the listing does not mention this. The owner is very sneaky and downplays the noise, she completely misrepresents the situation. Also her brother is a senior real estate lawyer so has set up the contract to make it impossible to get your money back. She took a month to pay back deposit. Beware. Note the other reviews are from 2-3 years ago, she asks for payment outside of home away to make it harder to have recourse to your money and harder to leave a review.

Picture Perfect Vacation!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is perfectly decorated and so cozy and warm. The house has a beautiful pool with direct sunlight so we didn't even need to turn the heater on. We walked to town every morning for pastries and coffee. All and all everything was perfection and can't wait to rent this house again!

The Sweetest House in the Hamptons!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this cottage!!

It was an amazing place to stay - incredibly quaint, romantic and very clean/well-maintained. It was impeccably decorated - with a chic yet comfortable feel. The bed/bedding was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a more unique and charming place to spend our anniversary weekend.

With Wolffer Estates Winery up the road - we had an amazing wine tasting (cheese and all) and were even able to bring some wine back (storing it in the house's wine fridge) for later use! With the village of Bridgehampton only a few blocks away (we walked!) - it was the most convenient post-summer weekend house. We walked up to Topping Rose to have a pre-dinner drink and then drove to bustling Sag Harbor (5 mins away) for a wonderful dinner. Closing our evenings with a romantic nightcap by the gorgeous fireplace, we really couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to reconnect.

It was a spectacular and romantic getaway from the city! Highly recommend to all!

Our family, 2 children (5 and 9 at the time) and 2 adults, stayed here in July 2011. The description and photos reflect the property exactly as it is. The owner did a fantastic job in decorating the house - everything was absolutely immaculate. The owner was extremely attentive and responsive. E-mails were replied to in an instant, never had to wait. Very very nice owner. We would rent this property again in an instant! All amenities - huge supermarket (open 24hrs), drugstore, train station and shops in town are right around the corner. The beach is a short bike ride away. Very good location. And just the right size. Enjoy!

Excellent location, location, location!!

Just a short walk to all the great shops and restaurants located in Bridgehampton. The house is also a easy and enjoyable bike ride away from the beautiful beaches of The Hamptons. No need to worry about beach stickers or parking passes when you can bike to the beach!

This house is cute, cozy, clean and wonderfully decorated!! The owner did a great job with this property and she was an absolute pleasure to work with!

We will definitely rent again!!!
