Location is key and this rental is perfectly located to easily walk to all things Folly! Once you park your car there will be no need to get back in it, unless you are leaving the Island. Described as a 1 bedroom, this rental actually can sleep 4 with the addition of a quiet sleeping nook that hosts a full bed. Great for small families on a budget or couple's retreat! Pictures do not do this rental justice as it is much larger then it appears. Open, airy living area that comfortably seats 4 along with dining inside. Fully appointed kitchen with everything you need to stay in and prepare a meal. Comcast cable, flat screen TV in living room, additional TV in Queen bedroom. Covered Shaded porch outside with dining table and seating. Fenced in yard. Outdoor shower with hot/cold water. 1/2 block from Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Grocery and 2 blocks back from the beach. Beach Cart, 2 Beach Chairs provided. This rental is not a single family home but a downstairs, ground level apartment.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE DOWNSTAIRS GROUND LEVEL UNIT OF A TWO STORY HOME. While it is not a basement...it is on the first floor and you will hear some foot traffic above. The above space is lived in full time by a family of 4. The upstairs unit uses the back entrance and Tucked Away uses the front. Please also note that all parking out front is owned by the city of Folly Beach. We can not guarantee parking directly in front of the unit although there usually is ample space. The City of Folly Beach owns all easements. You are allowed to park anywhere on Folly as long as you are parallel to the flow of traffic, all four tires off the road, not blocking a driveway or fire hydrant.

WE ARE PET FRIENDLY, HOWEVER WE HAVE A LIMIT OF JUST TWO PETS. OUR PET FEE IS $50 PER PET. IF WANTING TO BRING YOUR PET, PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR ABOUT SIZE AND BREED BEFORE BOOKING. PLEASE ALSO KNOW YOUR PET AND THEIR ANXIETY LEVEL WHEN LEFT ALONE. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET IF IT BARKS OR WHINES INCESSANTLY WHEN LEFT UNATTENDED INSIDE OR OUT. WE ARE DOG OWNERS AND AS DOG OWNERS YOU KNOW YOUR DOGS PERSONALITY AND BEHAVIOR. DOGS BARKING TO ALERT IS ONE THING...SEPARATION ANXIETY IS ANOTHER. WE DO HAVE NEIGHBORS AND THIS IS AN APARTMENT WITHIN A HOME. EVEN IF PET IS CRATED...WE CAN NOT HAVE IT CONTINUOUSLY BARKING. IT'S NOT GOOD FOR YOUR PET AND IT'S NOT GOOD FOR OTHER GUESTS. WE APPRECIATE YOUR HELP IN KEEPING THIS A PET FRIENDLY. RENTAL. IF YOU DO HAVE MULTIPLE PETS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING, WE MANAGE A WONDERFUL SINGLE FAMILY HOME WITH A HUGE FENCED IN BACK YARD THAT IS VERY PRIVATE AND WOULD OFFER A RELAXING RETREAT FOR DOGS AND OWNERS.

Michael grew up in Charleston and always looked forward to family vacations spent on Folly. He went off to Clemson for his College years and there he was blessed in finding me, his wife Dianne:) Ever his dream to permanently live on Folly, he found the perfect home in 2007. With his 2 children and wife in tow, we descended upon the wonderful community of Folly Beach and count our blessings each and everyday! Michael grew up navigating the local, sometimes tricky waters and decided to get his Captain's license, so that he could share the beauty of the Lowcountry with others. Broker's license, Captain's license, Surfer and Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Miguel is the man to answer any of your Folly Beach needs!

We love this home as it is central to all the fun and excitement of Folly, but yet is Tucked back in the trees, shaded and secluded. It's sincerely one of the better locations, if you want to walk everywhere and yet also have a space to escape.

There is a separate nook off of the living area with a full bed. This rental is not free standing. It is the ground level rental of a permanent residence upstairs. The rental has the privacy of the front yard while the upstairs has access from the back yard.

Convenient and Quiet.

We love the place its our second time to visit its so convenient to everything and yet very quiet. You can park your car and never have to get in it again until you want to go off the island. The beach is very clean and just steps away . We walked every where , walking off some of those calories from the great places we ate at, not a bad place in the bunch. We are already planning our next trip.

Awesome Getaway!

We really enjoyed staying in this cozy little place! It was decorated very nicely. It was comfortable, and it was very inviting. We loved all of the little accommodations provided, especially the coffee maker! The beach was very close and made for very quick walks!

Great spot!

Perfect location! Everything is well within an easy walking distance, but the yard still feels really private. Best of both worlds for folks that need some quiet R&R time, but also want to walk down to the main street and grab a quick bite. The owners are super nice and very communicative. We will definitely be returning!

Cozy con

We loved this cozy condo. Great location. We walked to eat every day. Diane and Mike are very gracious owners. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch rocking while our puppy, Lexie, enjoyed the small fenced in area. We are definitely returning to Tucked Away! Gay and Evans and Lexie. May 2017

Fabulously "tucked away"!!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was extremely comfortable and right in the middle of everything. We rented a golf cart right across the street and never had to move our car; we walked a lot as well. DO NOT miss breakfast at the Lost Dog Cafe! We ate there every morning! Gonna miss this island...
