Location and view!!! This condo is walking distance to the best surfing , Costa Azul with surf breaks, La Roca, Zippers, Old Mans and La Bocana to name a few. It is easy walking distance to Zippers surf shop/restaurant and many other restaurants. San Jose Del Cabo is the best of both worlds. Easy access to surfing and snorkeling, but also a short drive to Cabo San Lucas with all the shopping and nightlife or old town San Jose with cultural events and art/wine walk and other great shopping.
What makes this Condo unique
THE VIEW and location at Costa Azul!!! Across the street from the beach plus the view, size and privacy of the veranda where the key factors in my decision to buy this condo. Also, this unit is in a building of only two units, both are end units, so as far as condos go, it is as private as you can get. We like that our development has a pool and hot tub, but as they are a one minute walk from our unit, we can enjoy them, but don't have to hear or see other owners/guests enjoying the pool area while in our condo or on the veranda.

Family vacation - not so fun.
We spent 2 weeks here and found the unit to be well equipped with kitchen ware, linens and beach supplies.. That was the good part.
The listing clearly mentions the stairs (but not the number, at least 25), but what is not mentioned is the lack of hand rail and the deterioration of some of the steps making it all the more hazardous even for the fit. We were able to park in the upper lot where there were only 6 steps but again what was not mentioned is that access is through "common property" and is also another units personal space! Outdoor furniture, BBQ, TV, making that access seem almost intrusive to our neighbours (the manager and wife). They had two large dogs that were never outside, but barked long and loud at every noise. We had a smoker with us who went down to the lower parking lot regularly and that caused the dogs to bark. Since it is a strata complex there was a "groundskeeper" who came into all outside areas to water plants and do a general sweeping. Another thing that was not mentioned that you could be sitting outside still having coffee when the gardener wants to do his job! He was very polite and would have come back later, but still, unexpected.
The highway noise was also noted in the listing and sometimes managed to drown out the sound of the dogs ! Jake brakes and transport trucks were not mentioned. The highway is the FREEWAY, traffic is going 90kms/hour! You do not take yourself or your children by the hand and cross this! The alternative is to walk along the narrow shoulder until you can access the underpass via a ramp where cars are slowing down (barely) from 90 kms/hour. Leaving the driveways from either parking lot isn't much better, no merge lane or "get up to speed" opportunity, if you aren't driving something where you can really punch the gas YOU are potentially a hazard.
The outdoor seating was not as pictured for our rental. The loungers did not have cushions and the table had hard plastic chairs. There were no lights outside for eating.
The pool is exactly as pictured, two plastic loungers with old cushions. The pool was warmish, but the water was not very pleasant. The hot tub was not hot. Many stairs and again access was through common space that also bordered personal space ... just not a nice feeling.
Useful would have been an info sheet with emergency numbers (911?) and nearest medical clinic... what to do with garbage and where to get more water.
Clean unit, would not recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen has everything you need and the 2 bedrooms were great for our family of five. The master bedroom was large with a comfortable mattress!
The fans and air conditioners were great at night. We enjoyed the sunrise with our coffee on the balcony every morning.

A most comfortable condo!
This condo is exactly as advertised, with beautiful ocean views and ample, comfortable and functional living space inside, and an awesome wrap around veranda outside. Complete laundry facilities and indoor/outdoor cooking options are welcome amenities. We appreciated the short 1.5km stroll to La Comer and Urbano bus connections to downtown.
Road noise during the day is quite noticeable at first, but quickly becomes part of the background.
The almost deserted beach across the road is an added bonus. Staying here was well worth the value and experience.
We were pleased with the accommodations. Condo had everything we needed for our month long stay. Views are amazing. The noise level was a bit more than we expected with the road and the dogs next door. Very steep driveway and stairs, so just be aware that it might be difficult if you have any health issues. Great value for the money.
We are happy she felt it was a great value for the money and that she liked the condo and the view. We advertise as a pet friendly rental. Yes, our neighbor has dogs as our condo community is pet friendly. We also advertise about the stairs so all renters are aware prior to booking. Thank you for your review and happy future travels!
Enjoyed my stay at the condo. Probably the best stocked condo I have stayed in and we have been renting various houses and condos for over ten years. It is an older condo but clean and it served our purposes. The beds were nice and comfortable as sometimes the beds in Mexico are like sleeping on a slab of cement. The view is fantastic and the show the whales put on was unbelievable. Kudos to your managers Travis, Teresa and Lorena. We had a couple of little problems with upstairs bathroom and the washing machine. They we taken care of immediately and professionally. Just a 15 minute walk to the grocery store at San Jose del Cabo and 30 to 40 minute ride to Cabo San Lucas by bus. The bus system was very easy to use. Also I did swim at the beach across the street.
Only draw back for me was the road that runs in front of the condo complex. It is very busy and can be quite noisy.
We are a few steps from Costa Azul. Walk from your condo to great surfing in a few minutes!
