Another great year!
Our family had an excellent stay for the second year in a row now. The water and beach access cannot be beat in this quiet family oriented neighborhood. Excellent property for large groups both inside and out.

Crescent beach is beautiful
We absolutely loved Crescent beach. I think it is the nicest beach on Lake Erie. We had a wonderful time swimming , kayaking and playing games on the beach. The sunset on this beach is second to none! Our property manager, Rick was very responsive and helpful.

Mice infestation, furniture falling apart, and multiple families staying on the same property.
Where to begin… Mice infestation, furniture falling apart, and multiple families staying on the same property. The location of this community is great. But this unit was a serious let-down! We first saw the mice on the kitchen counters 30 minutes after arrival, when putting away our groceries. The handyman came the next day to set (more) traps, but they were ineffective. He said they regularly have mice since the house isn’t winterized. Most mornings there were droppings on the kitchen counters. There were extensive droppings under the sink. Eventually they placed multiple “live bait” traps in the yard, and outside the kitchen door but told us to be absolutely sure the kids don’t touch them because they have a poison that could be deadly for small children!! We have 2 under 5. The description is deceiving, as there are actually 4 units on this same property, which were rented to 4 separate families. Each property shows the some of the same or similar photos here on VRBO (but under 2 different owners, same last name). Our unit is the front of the beach house, but it’s been divided in 2 suites by adding an internal door to separate the living rooms and upstairs there’s a lightweight door in the hallway. There is zero noise insulation from conversation level talking from the other side, let alone footsteps, crying babies, etc. Steps behind this house is the “cottage” that also has 2 units. All four of these units are to share the same lawn, lakeside sitting area, and bbq. Again, the view from the lawn is nice, but keep in mind you may be sharing it with 3 other families. And meanwhile we are mandated to be COVID-distancing this year… On our first evening, an upper kitchen cabinet door fell off the hinges and landed on my wife’s head. One of the queen beds had wooden slats that kept falling out and the mattress would drop through the middle. Two of the burners on the kitchen stove never worked. All of the furnishings are very old. Some are quaint antiques, but two of the couches had dust clouds and a stench of mildew. Two of our family members had worsening of their breathing issues and had to leave early. The landlord was woefully unhelpful about all of this. Would I stay here again? In this community, yes; in this property, not if it were free!

Beautiful property
Beautiful property in a perfect location. Had a snafu in the bed situation but the owner was fantastic in making the situation work. Great onsite support from the owner. Amazing beachfront property and yard that the kids loved playing in. House is full of lovely character.

A Gracious Family Home
We stayed here with two adult children, their spouses and four grandchildren. This is a true old-style beach house that has been well-loved and maintained. The front yard is heaven for the kids and the porch affords a good view of everything. There are rope swings and we flew kites everyday. The kitchen is well-stocked with most everything you might need and also a great outdoor grill. Lots of towels, linens, etc. Only thing we missed was our comfortable king size bed!
