The tipi is perfect in any arrangement, whether you’re a couple, a family or group. The tipi comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults, with enough room for you and your backpacks!
Sitting around a wooden platform floor, the base diameter of the tipi is 16 feet. A hardy canvas covers 22-foot-long spruce poles, which were cut, skinned and smoothed by the draw knives of the Cabot Shores crew.
While sleeping on mats is recommended, twin and queen-size beds are available for “deluxe” comfort seekers (or for those of us with old or sore bones!)
There is a fire-pit just outside the door, facing the ocean, for cooking or bonfires. Bathrooms and showers are just around the corner at Whiff’s Lodge.
Domes, geodesic and a tree house dome are new shelters at Cabot Shores.
The domes, Big Red and the Tranquility domes, are each 16 feet in diameter. Circular, they have a bay window with great views, a side vent and extensive skylight portals offering you a view of the stars by night and the occasional eagle flying overhead by day.
The Lunar Dome is a Tree house built for two or possibly 3 or 4 with a wee one or two. It sits in the apple orchard with great views of St, Ann's Bay, the Atlantic and the Bird Islands...
