Perfect for Brimfield

  • 5 of 5

A group of girlfriends and I booked this house for a weekend away together to visit the July Brimfield Antique Show, and it was the perfect place to stay. Elaine was very responsive via email, and graciously accommodated an early check in and an ever-expanding group of guests. We ended up with 8 people and everybody slept comfortably (two sharing the king bed in one of the bedrooms, and one on the futon downstairs; everyone else one each in the rest of the beds). It's definitely a cozy squeeze for a group that size, but we liked that, especially since we could eat outside comfortably. The house is a 15-minute drive from Brimfield, and coming back to the lake in the hot afternoon was the perfect reward after a long morning of treasure hunting. We loved the paddleboats and the long dock, perfect for lounging by the water and swimming. There's a great gas grill and we enjoyed making s'mores at the fire pit, too. It would have been nice to have a phone number in case of emergency or for quick questions via text--the propane tank for the grill did run out on our last night there, but I figured an e-mail exchange might take too long to get a response, so we just finished our food in the oven. :) All in all, a perfect stay for us, and we hope to make this an annual trip!

Great family stay

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a lake house for our whole family to stay for my daughter's graduation in Worcester. I really just needed a house with enough beds for us all for the weekend, but it turned into a bonus vacation weekend. The house is incredibly well stocked and everything you could need it is thoughtfully provided (I've rented a lot of apartments and houses, and this was the best I've seen in that regard). The kayaks provided much entertainment, as well as the fire pit, and the washer and dryer were helpful. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The owner was very responsive in opening the house after my sister lost her cell phone on departure, and offered to mail my son's left-behind charger. They were amazing to deal with. We will be back for a visit.

We have stayed at this rental for several years as we do the Brimfield show. The landlords are very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. The house has been great for us to stay there, and we hope to enjoy the house in the future!
