Very convenient to Vineyard Haven and spacious

  • 3 of 5

Four of us stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed that we all had separate bedrooms and 3 full baths. Generally comfortable, spacious, with a well equipped kitchen - plates, glasses, pots.

A few qualms:

For a short stay like ours and at a "luxury" rate - some rudimentary paper products are usual and expected, included in the price -but there were no napkins, paper towels, kleenex or toilet paper (beyond partial rolls in each bath). Also surprisingly no basics like salt, sugar, or oil even though many spices, and no plastic wrap, bags, or aluminum wrap. Basement pipe noise under first floor bedroom caused that person to decamp to the sofa in den. Also the dirt driveway has a big hole in it we navigated around.

Our visit, though enjoyable, was marred by the arrival of cleaners at 9am our last morning, adamant they'd been told we were leaving the *day before* and should vacate immediately. In fact, it was our the morning after our 3rd night and were the last renters of the season and had been told we could stay until our afternoon ferries departed if we wished. Several difficult phone calls ensued before the miscommunication was cleared up.

We would stay again due to the convenience of the location, general cleanliness, and number of bedrooms/baths.

Clean, comfortable, convenient!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week staying at Faith's VH home. It was immaculately clean and comfortable. Faith was also a wonderful remote-host - she answered all of our questions in advance, and did everything in her power to accommodate our late arrival and departure. A true gem! We can't wait to come back.

The home was beautiful and very well maintained. It was equipped with everything we needed.

I was very pleased with my experience renting this home. Faith was wonderful and very helpful. She responded very quickly to questions and shared a lot of great tips, which was needed because it was first visit to Marthas Vineyard. The home was the best looking on the street. It had everything we needed to cook and enjoy ourselves.

Very clean, modern, and nicely decorated!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I have stayed on MV for many years, in different towns. Faith's house in Vineyard Haven is lovely -- a hidden gem. The homeowner was easy to communicate with, and made sure we had the information we needed. The neighborhood isn't as picturesque as some in Edgartown, but we enjoyed seeing some huge wild turkeys in the yard one morning. The house itself is well maintained, modern, and very clean. Nice kitchen, comfortable rooms, and plenty of space for our family of five. Definitely *not* one of those homes that's been used and abused, even at the end of the summer when we stayed. One thing that we missed is having an outdoor shower -- that would've been sweet! Thanks for a nice late summer getaway, Faith!

Very clean home great for a large family

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful well maintained clean home. We stayed here with three adults and three young children and felt we had plenty of space inside and out. The deck was great in the morning for coffee. The kids loved playing in the backyard and seeing the wild turkeys. The home is off a dirt road and the neighborhood is generally quiet although we had one incident with a loud neighbor. The owner was very responsive and we felt better after we spoke with her about our concerns. She also provided a great restaurant recommendation (Beach road in VH was excellent!). This is close to lake tashmoo beach which is good for young kids. My only con is you are very close to neighbors and I would have preferred more privacy. But overall it was a good experience and a quality home to stay at while visiting the vineyard.
