Imagine a Perfect Sunset with Porpoises Swimming on the Horizon - This is Key Largo at its Very Best
Enjoy our newly remodeled and gated – 5 bedroom, 4 bath house directly on the bay. We call our house CASA de IVY. The house features an infinity pool, large sandy beach, and a newly constructed dock.
CASA de IVY is decorated in a West Indies décor, with dark hardwood floors and red and yellow accents throughout the house. The kitchen is on the 2nd floor and features a large center island which seats 10. Just outside the kitchen is a 1200 sq ft covered lanai with travertine tile. From the lanai and every one our 6 French doors is an unobstructed view of the bay. In fact, the house is secluded with no bayside neighbors – giving you a feeling that you are one with the ocean. For those, that need to be connected, CASA de IVY has high speed WIFI internet, and every room has a flat screen TV. The home sleeps 12 – master with a king, 3 bedrooms with queens, and a bunkroom with 4 bunks.
I am not kidding when I say you could see anything from a pod of 100 juvenile porpoises, to a family of manatees, to parrots and egrets right off the dock. The dock has 6 ft of control depth and plenty of room for up to a 45 ft yacht. Electric and water are both available on dock. Pennekamp offers some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world, and is only a 15 minute boat ride away. If water skiing and tubing is your thing – Blackwater sound is the calmest water you could find in the Keys, and this is off our white sandy beach. And if sipping wine and drinking margaritas works – well, it’s all there.
It’s a perfect size home for 2 families. Our home books quickly, so please email for best availability and for more information.
We also own another ocean front 5 bedroom home in the Florida Keys- vrbo 430783

Our entire family is close and we enjoy spending our time together. This house provides us with plenty of space and is perfect big dinners and great conversation and lots of fun.
We also have a ski home in Big Sky, MT (VRBO 304457) if you would like to read reviews from our other renters.
Brad Levine purchased this house in 2011
The location is perfect. It directly faces west on the bay - so you get perfect sunsets all year long. There are no neighbors, and the piece of property is almost an acre. We fell in love with property and after 9 months of renovations - we now have one of the best homes in Key Largo.
New kitchen, new dock, new pool, new bathrooms, new foyer, new garage - even new wiring. The house is now awesome.
I don't know if this message, but I just wanted to thank you for sharing
your home with us and getting us out of a pinch. (cancelled Puerto Rico
vacation because of the Zika virus). We had an amazing time at your house.
Everything was so perfect for our family. We loved all the beach toys you
provided and the sand for the kids to play in. They were happy as clams the
whole week. We also loved the volleyball court and enjoyed many games
together. We even enjoyed a fire at the fire pit the last evening. The
kitchen was well supplied and the big glass doors opening up to the deck
expanded the living space beautifully. I love how you landscaped the
property. Overall, it was a perfect relaxing vacation. We hope to be back
Stayed here for two weeks with my daughter and her husband, my son and his wife and my three granddaughters aged 9,7 and 5. We chose this place after extensive research online. As we were visiting from the United Kingdom we wanted to be sure that it was exactly right for our needs - a base from which to explore the Keys and somewhere to relax and have fun. It was perfect for us. The pool was just great and it was difficult to persuade the children to get out! None of us tired of the stunning view from the house and beach and we took back some amazing photographs. We didn't know what s'mores were but quickly did some online research and made good use of the fire ring to make some! We're now experts. The house itself was perfect for our needs… Particularly the kitchen area which was well stocked and ideal for socialising in the evenings round the big central island. The outside space provided some ideal spots to relax in the shade or bask in the sun. We loved the peaceful, private location of the house/beach but with restaurants and supermarkets so close by we had the best of both worlds. Lots of magical moments in, on and by the ocean with some fabulous memories to take home.
The house was beautiful and so were the grounds. Our kids got to see a manatee, sting ray dolphins, iguanas, and parrot fish. From sun up to sun down we were in the water in one form or another, whether in the pool, boat or in the kayak. It was the relaxing vacation our family was hoping for and needed. Our kids keep asking when we can go back!
We stayed for one week and enjoyed every moment ! The house was set up perfectly for our two families. The kitchen is stocked with the basics , the bed and bathrooms were roomy . We had the feeling of being in our own little compound in paradise. The privacy and room outside for the kids to enjoy was perfect for our group. The wildlife was fun to watch but the manatee family visit one morning was by far our favorite . There is just a feeling of peacefulness in this home.
There were a few minor issues - the previous renter leaving a fishy freezer , minor plumbing issue etc but they were handled immediately by the house manager . She was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay at Casa de Ivy again!
My sons and I went to Casa De Ivy for a few days last week after thinking we would have to cancel. The owner was very cooperative with our requests and we had a great time. The property is absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. The only thing I would change is that we didn't get to spend enough time there! We'll be back for sure!
Thank you to the Levine Family for sharing "Casa De Ivy" with our party of 12. Your home is warm, inviting and comfortable. The island in the kitchen was a wonderful gathering spot for morning breakfasts and evening dinners. The pool and pool patio were the perfect size for that many (6 adults and 6 teenage girls). The men (dads) enjoyed fishing off the dock- they even caught and prepared crab for dinner - truth be told they were like little boys out there, every day with their fishing poles and nets. It was heartwarming watching them be so "young". We rented a couple of paddle boards and an extra kayak - which were delivered to the house and picked up the next day - very convenient. Traveled to Key West just to see the sunset (not that it wasn't spectacular from our view at Casa De Ivy) - however, the Key West sunset proved to be the best as sailboats make it into the pictures. Not to mention the street performers and shopping and an ice cream cone to finish the night! We even ventured to Miami - just to experience it. Anyone reading this - if you want to use the fire pit - get firewood from somewhere prior to getting the keys - when we inquired about firewood at a few places - they just laughed and said - it's too hot - not the season for firewood. Understandable!! Also - for those who are going with a larger party - if you get "stuck" (LOL) with the king bed in the lower floor - no worries - it's very comfortable and actually quite convenient as it is closer to the pool and has it's own bathroom - and actually more "private"!!! :) Thanks again to the Levine family for sharing!!
What a fabulous family retreat!! The location is totally private yet convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and tourist's attractions.
The house was well stocked with all you might need from sunscreen and bug spray to pool toys and fishing rods, some kitchen staples, plenty of towels, soap, etc. Having a wonderful heated pool, volleyball court, beautiful new dock for fishing, fire pit, and especially the kayak kept all 11 family members busy and happy. The two large and well furnished porches are perfect for large family games, watching rain storms blow by and fabulous sunsets. The story of the acquisition of the house alone makes you love it. If we could improve anything, it would be a more complete lower floor gathering room, with a place to play games, watch TV. Slightly better attention to housekeeping could be improved but I know having only 4 hours to turn over size of a property is a challenge. That said, Trish, the property manager was on top of any little glitch, and even checked on our well being after torrential nighttime storms. If you are expecting a luxurious home with formality, look elsewhere. If you want a warm, casual, inviting, comfortable (especially beds), well located home... Casa de Ivy cannot be beat! Thanks Brad for sharing your piece of paradise!
Pennekamp Park is 15 minutes away, Everglades & Key Biscayne National Parks are 45 minutes away, Homestead Speedway is 30 minutes away, and Key West is 2 hours away.
