Pet Friendly Condo Downtown

We are pet owners who love to travel with our dogs and are pleased we can provide this pet friendly condo. This second-floor condo has one bedroom with a queen bed. It features a full kitchen, a large den area, a large deck with unobstructed views of downtown Asheville and Beaucatcher Mountain. It also includes a washer and dryer.

It is easy to walk your dog on this street. There are plenty of grassy areas, just be sure to bring a bag to clean up after your pet and there is a city provided trash container on the curb next door.

There is a $20/night Pet Fee. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet when you book your stay.

The Altamont Condos is located on historic Church Street in the heart of downtown. The street is tree lined and full of beautiful old buildings including three historic churches. The location is ideal, being close to everything downtown and the street is off the high traffic streets, so it is quieter than nearby Patton Avenue.

This building was originally constructed in 1895 and renovated in 2010. The historic character of the building was preserved so it continues to fit in on Church Street while adding modern features to make the property environmentally friendly, convenient and extremely safe.
There is high-capacity internet coming into the building and extensive Wi-Fi coverage so you can work remotely during an extended stay. For entertainment we provide a smart TV with Sling and local TV channels, and the Wi-Fi has enough capacity to stream on personal devices.

The building features a large elevator that makes getting luggage in and out extremely easy. There are solar panels on the roof that are behind the original parapet that preheat the building's hot water and electric water heaters in each unit are only used for backup. Heating and cooling are provided by high efficiency heat pumps that automatically bring in fresh air from the outside so indoor air never seems stale. The building also meets the same safety standards as a hotel. There is a sprinkler system, emergency lighting and fire rated emergency exits. You can enjoy the charm of an old structure on a historic street and know that if there is an emergency in the middle of the night you can safely exit the building.

Parking is available in the new Buncombe County public garage on Coxe Ave, it's behind the church across the street and a very short walk. There is another public garage under the A-Loft hotel on Biltmore Avenue.

Great Spot
My wife and I were very pleased staying at the Altamonte property. The location was great and gave us access to everything in downtown Asheville. The instructions were clear around parking and entering the facility. The unit was cozy and well laid out. We would definitely stay on this property property again.

Cute and Convenient
The property is located off Church St making it quiet but accessible to everywhere downtown. You can hear the neighbors but for sleeping the sound machine drowns them out. Our dog was excited by the neighboring unit’s two frequent barkers though occasionally. We really appreciated the supply closet in the hallway and the added touch of ice cubes. Ice cubes seems like a small thing but it was a wonderful detail to provide. It kept us from having to run back out after getting settled! We’ll stay here again for sure!

Walkable To Everything
My husband and I were in town for a concert at Harrah's Cherokee Center, and this condo is in a great location. We parked our car, and other than ubering to the concert (because it was raining) we walked everywhere all weekend. We had 2 little dogs with us, and there was plenty of grass right around the condo for walking them.
