About Sally Howard

I purchased 304 when the owner told me he was going to sell. I'd been visiting Santa Fe for about 3 years and always stayed in 304. It took me seconds to make the decision.

I typically drive to Santa Fe once a year around April/May and spend a month and then in either Sept/Oct or Christmas I'll fly down for a shorter visit. I cannot imagine just visiting once - there is so much to see and do. One of my best times was when I walked from Alameda and St. Francis through neighborhoods and the city taking pictures of Santa Fe 'art'...doors, gates, fences, mailboxes. It's amazing how art permeates every inch of Santa Fe. Don't miss the overpasses and retaining walls on Highway 84/285 going North.

I live in Boise, Id, most of the time, and moved in 1970 from St. Louis. It became home the minute I arrived. When I'm asked 'where did you grow up' and standard reply is 'I grew up in Boise and moved there when I was 30'. It's so true! Santa Fe and Boise are oddly similar in weather and convenience. Boise also has a ski area 16 miles away and great outdoor activities. I recommend visiting Boise too.

Why Sally Howard chose New Mexico

It's home, it's comfortable and it's convenient! DeVargas Mall is just across the highway has everything you need - grocery store, Hastings, great Pizza shop, movie theater, dress shops, drug store, excellent restaurants, etc. Taos, Opera and Tesuque are just north.

I've made it 304 home and hope you'll feel the same. If there is something more that you think it needs just let me know.

What makes this condo unique

My favorite thing about 304 is the balcony and the view. I have seen more rainbows from the balcony in Santa Fe then all of the rest of my life combined. The cloud formations that pass over are truly amazing. Oddly, I like the original wood furniture (dining table, coffee table). I'm comfortable putting my feet on the coffee table. I've taken the old dining room chairs and put them on the balcony for extra seating.

The beauty of Santa Fe is that all of the amenities and attractions of large cities and rural areas alike are available but all are within 10 to 30 minutes easy drive.

great SW decor, convenient location, comfortable condo for us 3

  • 4 of 5

We appreciated the extra amenities, the hints about Santa Fe, and the general comfortable space of the condo. A special enjoyment for us was the chorus of finches to greet us each morning. (Note: the special bakery, clofusus?, is closed temporarily while they relocate. The special exhibit at the History Museum is about the 60s across the US and especially in New Mexico and the SW -well worth seeing.)

Owner's Response: Oh No! My favorite bakery is moving?! Parking was a problem but the location was so perfect (for me). Thank you for letting me know. I hope the 60's exhibit is still at the History Museum in October. Thank you for taking the time to do a review!

Wonderful condo in great location

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I were so impressed with this condo and highly recommend it. It was so well furnished and left nothing to be desired. We even found a needed first aid kit. The art work was fun and typical Santa Fean. The location was great. Just a few minutes to the grocery and downtown. The view from the balcony of the mountains was very nice. The surroundings were quiet, the beds comfy.

Owner's Response: That pretty much covers it all - thank you! Sorry you needed the first aid kit but glad it was there for you! It is nice to have the convenience of a mall with a grocery store so close by. I love that view! Come back soon.

Owner's Response: I was in real estate for over 30 years before I retired 10 years ago. Location, location, location was a mantra for the real estate business. I, too, find it very convenient to just about anywhere one wants to go! Thank you.

Wonderful condo with lovely Southwestern decor!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe. The condo was just as advertised and looked just like the photos! It was nice that Sally provided us information on places to visit and recommended an entire list of restaurants.

If I am ever in Santa Fe again I would definitely stay there again.

We have very nice memories from our visit.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the endorsement of my Santa Fe home. I'm happy to know you enjoyed it. It's come a long way since I bought it about 20 years ago. First paint, then new furniture, and more recently the kitchen and bathrooms. Come back soon. There is a lot more to see!

Convenience and style in Santa Fe

  • 4 of 5

The condo was very well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed and we had dinner there several times. Helpful recommendations were made for nearby points of interest and facilities. The furnishings and decor were in keeping with Santa Fe flair with interesting colors and textures, artwork and objects. It was fresh and clean and a delight to stay there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for mentioning the kitchen. I've tried to make it convenient for visitors to be able to enjoy a home cooked meal. Santa Fe has so many great restaurants but I like to be "home" occasionally.

Lovely, quiet condo, just outside of town center

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I celebrated our birthdays in Santa Fe and loved staying at Sally's condo. It was elegantly furnished, with a real New Mexico flare, including a working kiva fireplace and a third-floor balcony with a view of the city and hills beyond. NB: There was an elevator and ample parking. Everything was clean and comfortable. The best part was, for a very reasonable price, we each got our own lovely bedroom and bathroom. Sally was promptly responsive to our questions, and she provided a long list of local restaurants and activities for us to consider. It's about a mile from the Plaza, but a pleasant walk and easy drive. Also, it's right near the Lodge at Santa Fe, so we were able to take the Sandia Shuttle from the Albuquerque Sunport, then walk 5 minutes. Would definitely stay here again--highly recommended!

Owner's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you mentioned the Sandia Shuttle. It is such a pleasant way to get from ABQ to Santa Fe. I've even had a driver take me to the condo complex. I think what I miss the most when I leave my Sf home is the view. You'll need to come back when it's warm enough to sit on the balcony.
