About Sally Mason

My name is Sally Williamson. I am the property manager for Serenity Escape Vacation Rentals! I graduated in Spring 2012 from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree and in Spring 2015 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences. I was born and raised here in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Along with property management, I also operate a wedding venue. I would love the opportunity to book your stay here in the beautiful Hot Springs!

Sally Mason purchased this house in 2012

Why Sally Mason chose Lakeland

My family has owned this piece of land for over 70 years! My great grandparents, grandparents, parents, and myself have all lived on this property at some point in our lives. This beautiful piece of property is very special to us and we enjoy the opportunity to allow others to make their own memories with their families as well. This particular home was built in 2000 by my father for my grandparents. We have spent many days and nights spending time together on the back deck that overlooks the lake. My favorite part of the deck is that even on the hottest of days it always seems to have a breeze blowing by.

What makes this house unique

One of the great features of this house is the back deck that overlooks the lake. No matter how hot it may be, there is always a breeze on this deck! It is a great place to congregate with family or friends. It is also wonderful for enjoying peaceful time by yourself reading a book or just admiring the great view. Another unique benefit is that the house has a secluded feel, but it is also a very convenient location. It is about 3 minutes from Hot Springs' main road yet feels very private.

Lake Hamilton

The lake that our home is located on has a "draw down" every November and a "draw up" every March. So in November, the water is lowered 3-9 feet (it differs every year). During this time our boat dock is moved out so that it can remain in deep enough water. Our dock is accessible at all times. An extension is added if needed for guests to get on the dock and use the dock. Luckily the water in our cove is very deep and the lowering of the lake does not have a huge effect in our cove compared to others. If you have any questions about the draw down or draw up, please let us know!

We LOVED it!

  • 5 of 5

The house was all we thought it would be. It was home away from home. We were surprised by some of the things the homeowner had as amenities. We had everything we needed. The deck is extremely nice. We normally stay in The Village when we visit Hot Springs, glad we found this house. Will definitely stay here again. The location is great for dining out and shopping.

Perfect! Beautiful, Awesome, and comfortable. We had room to socialize and relax. Easy! Thank you!

  • 5 of 5

We all enjoyed the setting and the scenery. It was close to Hot Springs, and Garvan Gardens, which made it very convenient. The house itself was roomy and comfortable, and stocked with all of the accessories we needed. We were in Hot Springs because our daughter was getting married at Garvan Gardens and this Home was perfectly located. We had friends come by to visit and we all enjoyed sitting on the deck, enjoying the ambiance. All of the beds we used were comfortable and the three bathrooms were great. We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Thank you!

Wonderful getaway for group including wheelchair user

  • 5 of 5

It can be very difficult to find a vacation rental home that is suitable for a wheelchair user, but we found this home worked very well for our group of three couples, including one wheelchair user. Sally worked closely with us to get us the information we needed about access. There is parking right next to the house. There are several steps into the house from the garage, with helpfully placed grab bars, and there is also step free (but somewhat steep) access via the back deck. Either master bedroom on the main floor will work for a wheelchair user who is willing to be somewhat adventurous or who has some assistance - neither bathroom is fully ADA accessible, but there is plenty of room for a wheelchair or other mobility device. All doorways and hallways on the main floor (including the laundry room!) are wide enough for a wheelchair user. A code key lock on the deck door means that a wheelchair user does not have to depend on someone else being in the house in order to get in.

In Hot Springs, we especially enjoyed a visit to nearby Garvan Woodland Gardens.

Best time ever for the whole family

  • 5 of 5

We want to thank you for the wonderful weekend. We were able to get all the relatives in one beautiful location. It was great to be able to cook meals for everyone and relax. The lake is fantastic, we are discussing a possible return trip during the summer.

We enjoyed visiting on the deck overlooking the lake.

  • 4 of 5

A group of high school friends gathered to celebrate a "decade-changing" birthday. We enjoyed visiting on the deck. The location is on the Hot Springs side of the lake so it is fairly close to restaurants etc. The sink in the upstairs bedroom backed up when we arrived, but the owner came within a few hours to fix the problem. The one draw back is only one of the bathrooms is upstairs.
