Stunning View Estate in Calistoga - the Retreat on the Knoll

Escape for a month, plan a family vacation or get away with friends at our private retreat located just 1 mile from downtown Calistoga, a world-class wine region with hundreds of wineries, outstanding restaurants and farmer’s markets. This property is a working vineyard and usual activities to manage a vineyard happen. If you're lucky you can be present for the annual harvest.
This property can only be rented for 30 nights or more.

Our15 acre property is a very private custom decorated home located at the peak of an oak studded knoll. Although you feel completely secluded at the property, it is located so close to town that you can watch hot air balloons take off over town at sunrise and then easily grab a cup of locally roasted coffee and breakfast just minutes away in Calistoga.

The two-story main house on the property has 3 bedrooms each with a king size bed and private bathrooms. The sunny kitchen is replete with all the cooking utensils and appliances needed to make a gourmet dinner with local ingredients that you can pick up during the day. The main area of the upper floor features stunning views of the mountains and valley floor and includes a formal dining area, living room, stone fireplace, TV room, the kitchen and the Master Bedroom suite. Downstairs are two more bedrooms with bathrooms, the washer & dryer, TV/family room and another stone fireplace

The property also offers a 1 bedroom guest house with a king size bed, bathroom, breakfast nook, washer/dryer and its own kitchen. The guest house has its own patio, private yard and a charming wooden pergola.

Relax, go for a peaceful stroll the on grounds and enjoy the lookouts to the nearby mountain ranges or take a refreshing dip in the solar heated pool. If alfresco dining and cooking in a built-in outdoor kitchen by a pond are your style, that is available as well.

Fly direct to the Charles Shultz Sonoma/Santa Rosa airport from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, of Las Vegas on Horizon Air. Walk off the plane, drive 25 minutes to our retreat property and you will be ready to start your vacation – unless you decide to go wine tasting on the way. Alternatively, you may opt to fly into San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento Airport and drive approximately 2 hours to the property.

Wonderful Property!

Our family spent 5 weeks here and absolutely loved it. The house was perfect, the land is beautiful, and Maggie, the property manager, was amazing to work with. She communicated responsively throughout are visit and the home was completely ready for us. There are many small touches that really make this feel like a home away from home and we will definitely be back.

Dream Getaway

This place is unbelievable! Its everything you could ask for in one place! We were able to enjoy dinners on the patio that overlooked the Napa Valley. Cooking dinner here was so easy and the house had everything you could need! The layout of the house is ideal for multiple couples as each room has its own master bathroom. Outside the house there is a horseshoe court that runs along side the vines. And when that isn't enough, taking an evening stroll around the private vineyard will surely leave you satisfied! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Napa Valley with all the amenities needed to feel like home!

Doesn't get better than this

We had such an amazing time staying at Lawer! The house provided everything you could have asked for and more. We loved the outdoor patio area, having barbecues, lounging by the pool, and just spending time wandering around the estate. The house had everything we needed and I cannot say enough about the beds. I don't remember the last time I slept on something that comfortable! The location is perfect just around the corner from downtown, but the property itself feels completely secluded. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Perfect wine weekend!

What an amazing retreat! The big, open spaces (both indoor and out) are perfect for group get-togethers, the house is beautifully appointed, and the property is phenomenal. We cannot imagine a better way to enjoy wine country.
