This 1B/1B oceanfront cottage with a full kitchen sits in a gated community on St. Croix's north shore. The property finished construction March 2012. Sit and watch the surfers, windsurfers, kite surfers, turtles, whales, kayakers, and pelicans cruise through the water from the cottage deck or walk the 25 yards down to the beach for an even closer look. You may even run into a 500 pound turtle making a nest. Walk/run/bike the 9 miles of private roads within the safe gated community. Great central location for exploring all that St. Croix has to offer. 4 miles to downtown Christiansted.

St. Croix is the largest of the US Virgin Islands, but it remains a well-kept secret in comparison to St. Thomas and St. John. St. Croix is much quieter and more laid-back. The island offers water sports in abundance, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, surfing, and kite-surfing, with numerous beaches to explore. St. Croix has two small towns (Christiansted and Frederiksted) that have duty-free shopping and historic architecture. St. Croix offers something for everyone. Come relax on this wonderful island. No passports needed for US citizens.

St. Croix isn't just the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, but it also boasts the Caribbean's largest living reef. And it is the only spot in the region where you can dive a wall that drops more than 13,000 feet.

Base rates are $1,300/wk in slow season and $1,650/wk in high season.

About Chad Walter

Chad and Emily moved to St. Croix in 2008. They proceeded to build their dream home on the beach in 2011, finishing in 2012. They decided to build a separate cottage to rent out to couples looking for something different, something more private than what is offered at hotels.

The location of this property is on the beach in the gated community of Judith's Fancy. The neighborhood has 9 miles of roads to walk and run all while looking out at the turquoise water. The property is situated mid-island, so you are a short drive to anything you want to explore in St. Croix. We are located approximately 4 miles west of Christiansted.

Comfortable, Clean, Modern, Up-scale Cozy Cottage - just as advertised.

Our need (my wife and I) on this trip for a short planned 5 night stay on St. Croix was to find a comfortable place to stay/locate in the Judith's Fancy area for a family event with other family members on the Island. This cottage was perfect for us, with all the modern conveniences available for a pleasant stay. Chad & Emily were very gracious hosts, and immediately available if we had any questions throughout our stay. It was also very assuring to see that St Croix has recovered very well after last years storms and is back to being an Island vacation destination. This Cottage, near the ocean, in a secure location is a perfect couples place to stay. D & J

Perfect cottage getaway!!!!!

Chad and Emily are wonderful hosts who made certain we had everything we needed. The guest house on their stunning property was the perfect place to return to at the end of each day. The sight and sound of the water from the porch was something we enjoyed each morning and every night. We are so happy that we chose this location to spend our week of fun in St. Croix.

Worth Every Minute

The house itself is perfect size. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The kitchen had all tools you need and was a good size. There were plenty of towels for use at the condo and towels for the beach, as well as beach chairs. The homeowners are extremely nice and accommodating. They even went out of their way when we needed a few unnecessary extras. THANK YOU! Chad and Emily provided good suggestions for our trip and were helpful in answering any questions. The beach was touched a bit by the hurricane, as was the whole island. Regardless the beach was still beautiful and peaceful.

Beaches:

The island offered numerous beaches and we took full advantage. Each beach had it's own characteristics. Cane's beach was close and smaller. It was low key and wasn't subject to much tourist action. Rainbow beach was active and beautiful. It offered rentals for water activities. Hands-down our favorite was Isaac's Bay. The short hike provided panoramic views and butterflies fluttered creating a majestic feel. The beach was untouched beauty. There was only the sound of the ocean waves and a clear mind. Pictures could not do it justice.

Food:

You cannot go wrong with any of the food. We went to numerous restaurants with varying prices. We were not disappointed one bit, or bite. There are superb and varying flavors on the island. We utilized the list from Chad and Emily, locals, and TripAdvisor. We couldn't fit in all the places because there were too many.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:

The people of the island are amazing. Chad and Emily were the first to show generosity and sincerity, which was followed by so many others we met. Complete strangers bought us drinks, our anniversary dinner, and insisted we try food the we were eye googling. I've never experienced such consistent kindness and generosity. The hurricane may have altered and damaged the island but it did not affect kindness of the people. The island shined and worked it's way into our heart. It was the first vacation that I truly did not want to leave. We will be back, without a doubt.

Thank you Chad and Emily for everything. You are beautiful souls and compliment the vibe of the island.

BEST accommodations, BEST location, BEST hosts.

Since we are considering a move to St Croix, we didn't want to stay at a hotel...we wanted to get a feel for 'living' on St Croix. We couldn't have selected a better location. And the hospitality of Emily and Chad just added to the perfect location for our trip. Even being on generator power for half our stay (thanks to Maria), the accommodations and hospitality were second to none. We would stay there again without question...if we weren't already in the process of making an offer on a home there. Emily and Chad thought of EVERYTHING for their cottage guests. I can personally guarantee you will make the right choice by staying here.

PAYMENT POLICY:
The accommodation owner requires that 50% of the rent is due to confirm your reservation. The balance of the rent
is due 45 days prior to your arrival. No shows, late arrivals, change in number of persons, and early departures after
arrival are non‐refundable. (See Hurricane policy) No refunds will be granted unless there is a problem which
cannot be cured within 24 hours, or which causes the Guest extreme and undue discomfort or serious inconvenience.
Guests who abandon their villa without authority agree they have no rights to compensation.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
More than 45 days’ notice ‐ 80% of payments made will be refunded.
Less than 45 days’ notice ‐ no payment is refunded. We strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance to cover your
costs in the event you are forced to cancel.
