New Seasons Grocery Store and Kennedy School are 4 short blocks. There are dozens of fantastic Restaurants around the corner and all along Alberta Street. Lots of bars and shopping. And Salt an Straw and Donuts. This neighborhood is everything quintessential Portland.


This home is a natural, clean and versatile place in a seriously amazing location. Two upper level floors of Hardwoods and 3 FULL bathrooms.

It is also on a residential street with neighbors whom we respect.

KITCHEN FACILITIES are set to cook a gourmet meal with pots, server-ware, a microwave, dishwasher, gas stove and oven, tea kettle and coffee maker, etc. There is a dining room table which will accommodate 10+ chairs plus 3 bar stools at the counter.

Your own private WASHER and DRYER on the main level.

There is a large front porch for hanging out, as well as a private and fully fenced backyard with a gas BBQ, deck and fruit trees/grass. Seasonal table and chairs as well.

We love children. Please just let us know what you have and need. BICYCLES welcome and place to lock them out back in the fenced yard. If you don't bring them, you may rent them right on Alberta Street.

50% returned if cancelled > = 60 days prior to Check in date

Accidental damage?

I charge a $69 accidental damage fee of up to $1500. We never anticipate damage, and in 6 years, I've found my guests to feel the same way.

NOTE: Most weekends, except winter, we generally have a 3-5 night minimum. However, there are many exceptions, based on other bookings, timing of request, etc. There's a limitation on how best to advertise here, so I apologize for any inconvenience. Feel free to contact me. I make it a priority to respond quickly.

When you book this property, you're booking a house that I own and manage. If anything comes up, you'll be calling me for assistance. I make it a priority to be available for my guests: past, present, & future.

In sum: Lots of eateries, locally roasted coffee, trimmer #70, #72, cafes, amazing restaurants, trendy shops, The Kennedy School (Soaking tub, movies, pubs, bars and restaurants), Alberta Arts Last Thursday Art walk (monthly event not to be missed), New Seasons Natural Grocery Store, hot tubs, baby boutique, knit and fabric shops, a French restaurant and so much more. Public transportation very close by. You can even take in a yoga class, If you'd like. And the bicycle "highway" is only a few blocks away.

This home is located in an amazing location. It has lots of great amenities with-in and also in the immediate neighborhood. Walking distance to everything. Private washer/dryer. Free Street Parking. WIFI. It's easily accessible to the airport, to the culinary center that is it to drink Oregon's great beers, wine, coffee and even home made fruit soda. The grocery store and pharmacy and many businesses are a few short walking blocks away. Super convenient neighborhood to access public transportation or highways to take you downtown or out to the coast or to the Gorge, Wine Country, Hood River, or Multnomah Falls for the day.

What makes this townhome unique

Private, well maintained home where you can walk around and take in Portland Eats and Drinks or you can sit around and eat leftovers with your friends or work mates. Alberta Arts is an amazing Neighborhood. While NOT on Alberta, the commercial Street itself, it's Walking distance - Very Near the bike 'parkway', yoga (mats available), gym, pizza, knit/fabric shop, tea shops, food carts with worldly cuisine, McMenamins Kennedy School: cigar bar, soaking tub, and movie theater; tea house, baby boutique, hair salon, women and children bookstores, Common Ground Wellness, Extracto coffeehouse, cafes, boutiques, vintage, Salt and Straw ice cream, Pine Street Biscuits, Gluten free, Vegan, Vegetarian, bakeries, New Seasons grocery Store, Banks, Walgreens, Cup and Saucer, mini mart, Concordia College, Alberta Food Coop, Yakuza, DOC, Coqutte, Beast, Autentica Mexican Cuisine, Natural Health Care, Beast, Tonallis Donuts, back to Eden (GF), Tin Shed, Vita Cafe (comfort food), Cafe Vita (coffee), Cork Wine Shop, and even waffles

Perfect home for our Portland getaway

This Alberta Arts District townhouse was a perfect "homebase" for our recent trip to Portland. The location allowed for easy access to downtown Portland and other Districts. The furnishings/decor were beautiful and helped contribute to the feeling that it was home for the weekend. The owner was quickly accessible via email/text - and all of our needs were met. We love good restaurants - and found there were too many to count in the Portland area. This trip was Le Pigeon, Veritable Quandary, Gruner, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Podnah's Pit BBQ (actually for breakfast - which was amazing). All highly recommended! All in all, a wonderful trip -- and we would definitely want to return to this townhouse!

The property is perfectly located in a great neighborhood where you can walk to the market and cafes and great shops.

The owner saved us at the last minute and was extremely helpful. Loved everything about this place! Highly recommend staying here.

We were 3 couples sharing Bella's beautiful house in NE Portland. All 3 bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed - each with a private bathroom - beds were excellent and everything we wanted or needed was provided. The kitchen also had everything we wanted and we relaxed in the dining room and living room. The house is perfectly located in a quiet residential area, and just 3 blocks from restaurants, shopping (groceries, etc) and two different bus lines. We took full advantage of the senior $2.50 fee for all day public transportation and rode the buses, metro and trolleys throughout the day - Portland has the friendliest bus drivers in the world! Also 3 blocks away is Alberta St - which has dozens of restaurants and food options. Bella was very attentive to any need we had, and often offered good suggestions for our interests. Temps were unusually high during our stay, but the house AC kept us comfortable - and the plums from Bella's gardens were delicious. We liked Jake's Crawfish, Mother's Bistro and Henry's Tavern in downtown Portland - which is a very friendly city and offers beautiful gardens and lovely buildings. We also highly recommend Erik's Free downtown walking tour, which starts at City Hall across from Pioneer Square. We definitely recommend Bella's house and will stay there on our next visit to Portland.

Owner's Response: I swear I didn't write this review.  Nor trade it for a free stay. We were pounded this year with a record - breaking snowy and cold winter, rain in between, and then a super record- breaking summer of heat. Not everyone could stand being outdoors in this unusual heat. I'm glad that despite this , you still enjoyed all that the house and the neighborhood and our city has to offer. I guess all the extra "weather" we've had this year was the magic key to my grafted 4-type plum tree. Lucky timing you got to enjoy them. They were falling by the dozens! We couldn't keep up with catching those, despite effort. And you even went on an outdoor walking tour. I'm putting that on the to -do list.   You booked this trip's location far in advance of your vacation, and I'm really glad it met your expectations and beyond.  It goes without saying, that Bud, you and your friends are welcome anytime!

Lovely, spacious condo in the heart of Portland

There's always a bit of trepidation about traveling in a new area as a family of seven, especially with a special needs child. Everything was perfect from the modern decor to the just like home touches in the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The condo was very clean and eco-friendly. The kitchen was amply stocked with all of the basics and more. A short trip to the grocery store for food and you're set to go; a great convenience for those of us with food allergies. Bella really thought of everything that you could possibly ever need. She's very kind and gave us her thoughts on things to do about town.The condo is located in a lively locale in the Alberta Arts district where stores, restaurants, and entertainment are all within walking distance. We loved our stay there and hope to come back again to Portland!

Nice property in great location.

Well appointed and very clean in the house but the exterior areas were dirty and uncared for. We had no use of the backyard because of that. The location was terrific.
