If you are looking for a quiet, clean, and outstanding stay in Mesilla... Look no further. We offer a very historic bungalow that has been completely renovated to provide modern amenities. Very short walk to the plaza. Fantastic restaurants and shops in and around the plaza. A very clean 2 bedroom 2 bathroom bungalo. Top of the line beds and lines. A great private backyard, and enclosed patio. Just a fantastic example of a true Historic Mesilla Home.
My family and I spent 5 nights in this wonderful home. We had the best holiday imaginable and recommend this location to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Courtney had everything ready for our arrival, and we felt right at home! We will be back!
This property is exactly as advertised - except that the vibe of staying there can't be described. There is something about New Mexico - the sky, the mountains, the fields and orchards that make it a special place. This is a clean, comfortable, well appointed bungalo perfectly situated near the zocolo and with easy access to downtown Las Cruces and the freeways. The exterior is as much fun to hang out in as the inside - the kitchen is THE place to be! Just a gem of a place to stay.
We loved the architecture of this home; we had always wanted to stay in an adobe style home. Great pieces of furniture added to the authenticity while the updates made it functional. The one thing missing is a garage and parking is limited to out front. We had been traveling for 2 weeks and just needed to rest so we appreciated the comfortable beds and a/c. The Owner was highly communicative and pleasant to interact with. Strange rules about cleaning before departure when paying a substantial cleaning fee but apart from that, a little road noise/vibration, and a roofer it was a good experience. Nice patio but too hot to enjoy while we were there. We enjoyed being nearby the old Town Mesilla Plaza and would highly recommend it. Don't miss Andele's main restaurant!
If you want to stay in an authentic New Mexico setting, this is the place! Traditional construction modernized with all the conveniences of a new house. The Plaza is in easy walking distance and there are numerous great restaurants and shops. What was unexpected is that on one side of you is the town and literally on the other side is countryside, a pecan orchard and a field of cotton.
What a lovely place. The ambiance was delightful and it was tempting to not go out. However, only a short walk for good food, artisan shops and a wonderful coffee house. The casita/bungalo was well cared for, wonderfully refurbished with respect for its original construction. We enjoyed the patio. It was private and a great place to take our first cup of tea in our robes. All was very welcoming.
There is no way that staying in a hotel could compare with the wonderful experience my son and I had in the bungalow. The bedrooms are equally comfortable and very private. We put the outdoor gas grill to good use and cooked some delicious meals in the kitchen. The house was in perfect order when we arrived and the owner was incredibly responsive to my queries. Also, the neighborhood is really awesome. I found Las Cruces itself to be overrun with strip malls and this area is a little oasis of charming, old New Mexico (with all the modern conveniences of course). I highly recommend this house!!
