Cottage, 2 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
Why Lane deMoll chose Neahkahnie Beach
We moved here 40 years ago, to be where nature spoke loudly, and to find community and culture in harmony with all life. With children grown, we've downsized. I moved my office back into the house, and converted my 'office' into a place where others can connect with the soul of this place.
What makes this Cottage unique
Neahkahnie Mountain can be a deep and powerful experience. It clears out the confusion of urban culture, and brings us in touch with eternal truths and the wisdom of all Creation. Eagles, elk, deer, hummingbirds and other life are more present than people. Ocean, sun, trees, two miles of quiet beach, numerous nearby coastal state parks give opportunity to open our hearts to deeper and broader vision.

A great stay in this incredibly magical cottage overlooking the ocean. Will return and recommend to others.
Enriching and energizing stay
The nest is an inspiring transference of wisdom and energy from the hosts, in a lovely setting.
A Little Piece of Heaven
Beautiful place to disconnect. The views are amazing even when it rains. Simple and rustic but had everything we needed and then some. Hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.
Cozy, clean, incredible views.
The Eagle’s Nest is a lovely place for two. It’s a small, comfortable place and has a library that could keep you therefore weeks! The view is spectacular; you can see for miles, perched up on Neahkhanie Mountain (though you have to move individual chairs to the window ). We unfortunately went at a bad time-construction was just beginning on a home just below us, so it was anything but quiet while they were pile driving for 30’ steel supports. Thankfully the crew quit mid-afternoon on saturday, and the Sunday crew was was quieter. Certainly not our hosts fault, but beware in the next few weeks/months if you want absolute quiet. Otherwise this is a beautiful place to stay and I’m sure we will be back!
Fantastic Spot to Get Away From It All
This was my first trip to the Oregon coast and the Eagles Nest was a great spot to be based. The view from the living room is fantastic as you can see miles to the south along the coast.
You are relatively close to Cannon Beach if you have an urge to shop and enjoy the many restaurants in the town.
The kitchen is very adequate and has all you need if you want to cook at the cottage. The bed is very comfortable (I slept extremely well) and the living room is a great place to sit back and enjoy a good book. A fireplace/fire stove is a luxury I seldom get to enjoy and I did.
One note in the off season, I had a bit of a problem trying to find a restaurant open on some nights in Manzanita, so check Google for times and availability.
A little sanctuary among the trees, with astounding views of the coast. Beautiful property with thoughtful detailing throughout the interior that all contributed to the overall beauty of the experience. Can’t wait to go back!
