About the property

Located just one block from world famous Waikiki Beach, the Waikiki Banyan is a perfect spot for your vacation, be it energetic or relaxing. The complex is made up of over 800 privately owned condos. It can be lively, bustling with holidaymakers going to the beach, playing on the tennis court, which doubles as a basketball court), swimming in the large freshwasher pool, soaking in one of the two Jacuzzis or the sauna, or watching the children having fun playing in the playground. Enjoy quiet evenings on your private lanai sipping a cocktail – or prepare your evening meal on one of the coin operated gas barbeques and dine el fresco.

Darmic Waikiki Banyan unserviced condos are one bedroom, one bathroom with a fully equipped kitchen and lanai (balcony). Each sleeps up to 4 people with a variety of bedding in the bedroom (depends on category) plus a queen size sofa bed in the living room. A 5th person can be accommodated at an extra charge. The condos come with a fully stocked kitchen including flatware, crockery, utensils, pots, pans. Our apartments are unserviced during your stay so you are not interrupted by housemaids. Ample supplies of additional bed and bath linen is provided and there are coin operated laundry rooms on each floor. Smoking and pets are not permitted in Darmic condos

All onsite facilities including the recreation deck, mini mart and café are available for your use – NO RESORT FEES! Darmic guests are able to have unlimited parking on site for a flat fee of only $10. A Security Deposit of $110 is required to obtain a parking pass then US$100 is refunded on return of the pass to our staff. A lost permit will cost $100 to replace, hence the need for a security deposit.

A short 5 minute walk takes you to the warm sands and blue waters of Waikiki Beach. Swimming is safe for children in a lagoon style area at the end of Ohua Ave, then further down the beach are fun waves to play, body surf and boogie board in. Take a short stroll along Kalakaua Ave and see the surfers further out catching the waves. Shops, bars and restaurants are within a few minutes walk of the property, with budgets and styles to suit everyone. Explore the stalls in Dukes Lane, marvel at the high end stores on Kalakaua or simply stroll around Kapiolani Park. For the more energetic, climb Diamond Head for amazing views of Waikiki and surrounds, or venture further afield on a guided tour around the island.

About Jamie Carter

Darmic is a family company and the only New Zealand owned company operating out of the Waikiki Banyan.

Dariel and Michael first began Darmic in 1990. In July 2014 their two daughters Jamie and Robyn began their ownership of Darmic, so the business has gone full circle within the family.

Our family own a condo in the Waikiki Banyan and we are excited to be part of your own vacation plans.

Just a note of thanks to say how much we appreciated all the timely arrangements made by you (DARMIC) for our recent one-week visit, the warm reception (and send-off) we received from Mike and Dariel, the lovely, super-clean unit (3109, T1, with the great view of Diamond Head, the park, and ocean), and the pleasant balmy breezes and scenic venues in Hawaii! It was great to back at the Banyan and in Honolulu. Many thanks for accommodating our late-check-out request as well. I hade a fabulous time in the sun with lots of swimming and far too much eating!!I would like to thank you very much for the lovely roomI had,it was extra special with great views,very quiet, and really just very much appreciated. Beautiful apartment located in the perfect spot

We loved everything about this apartment, especially that it was renovated so nicely.

The location was wonderful and the apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed including all the extras that a lot of other apartments don’t have. Dennis and his wife were lovely and they answered all our questions whenever we called them.

Thanks again for the wonderful accommodation, we will definitely be back again and will be booking this apartment again for our next family holiday to Hawaii.

Such a great place!!!!

I was very hesitant at first to give my money to someone without being able to use a credit card, and all the security features they offer. However, I quickly learned that they can take credit cards over the phone. we did that for the deposit, and paid cash on arrival for the balance. I would recommend that the Darmic family find a way to accept credit cards easier, since it makes people feel more comfotable - a PayPal, a Square, something. But still, the condo was AMAZING!!! There is a Safeway about a mile away, and we walked to Waikiki Beach every day. We were also within walking distance of the zoo. This condo has amazing views of the ocean & Diamond Head. My kids were excited about the body boards and beach equipment they left us to use, and we will definitely stay here again should we come back to Oahu. Jamie was amazing to work with, answered all my questions quickly and put me at ease, and Colin was a delight to meet at check-in. Thank you Darmic, my 2 boys (8 & 9), my niece (21), and I had an amazing time in Honolulu thanks to you :)

I had hoped to meet you at our guest BBQ - I had travelled to Hawaii for a week with my mom Dariel (the DAR of Darmic) and it was going to be a nice way of meeting everyone. Wonderful condo, lovely & clean all amenities needed, great swimming pool & BBQ area only short walk to beach & very central for getting to where ever you want in Waikiki. This would be approximately the 10th time we have stayed at the Waikiki Banyan & have to say the service from Darmic (especially Jamie) was fantastic as we have found before. Nothing was a problem & just so helpful with all our requirements. For a lovely relaxing holiday with plenty of sunshine swimming & shopping I would recommend this place & Darmic for their great service anytime.

Our condo was lovely & clean & everything we needed . Waikiki Banyan is central to everything you want to do & just a short walk to the beach. We have now stayed there approximately 10 times & still enjoy every minute of our stay.
