About Maureen Betz

We moved from Ohio to Littleton, Co 24 years ago & bought our 1st place in Grand Lake 20 years ago. We have 3 boys: twins that are in their 20's & a teenager. When they were younger they loved to go to the cabin & catch frogs, butterflies, grasshoppers, play on the swingset, enjoy the wildflower or just hang out on one of the big rocks to have a picnic.

Maureen Betz purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Maureen Betz chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We love the quiet town of Grand Lake we enjoy boating on the 3 large lakes & hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. We often have picnics by one of the lakes & our boys love to just hang outside & see the wildlife.

What makes this cabin unique

Seclusion, privacy & close proximity to town (1mile).

Guestbook comments from the manager

We came with very high expectations & have not been disappointed! Gorgeous cabin in a stunning location - I dont think we have ever been anywhere so relaxing. We went hiking, mountain biking, rented a boat on Grand Lake & went go-karting. Our teenagers liked the ping pong & x-box. We would come back again anytime!

Perfect Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Well maintained and up-to-date kitchen, fabulous views of Shadow Mountain lake, awesome hot tub, super comfortable beds and well equipped home. Close to town and hiking. TV was a little tricky, but we figured it out. We even saw a herd of 35+ elk walk across the property and drive way one morning, early. Fantastic!!

All that we hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this cabin. We've stayed at several cabins in Grand Lake. This is definitely one of the best. I loved how well stocked the kitchen is with utincils, dishes, pot and pans, etc. as well as many other small details throughout the cabin (i.e. great children's books, boniculars, detailed notes with information about the cabin, and on and on). We're already talking about our next stay.

The Best!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved, loved, loved the 7 acre wood!! We have rented many times on vrbo & this was by far the best - the owners have thought of everything! The kitchen was better equipped than our own, beds very comfy, movies, books, toys, games, toy loft, tents, ping pong, xbox, shuffelboard - kept all ages very entertained. The most relaxing was sitting on the deck with the mountain/lake views while enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine where deer & even some elk came to visit! Would highly recommend & we will be back!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

7 Wood Acre was a great place for our first trip to the Rocky Mountains. It was an easy 2-3 hour drive from the airport, we had no problems finding the cabin. The cabin is secluded on 7 acres but also a short drive to the small town of Grand Lake. The cabins location offers plenty of chances to see wildlife and stunning views! It is also very close to the west entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin was very clean upon our arrival and we had everything we needed while staying there. We enjoyed using the outdoor fire pit and the hot tub. Its a great cabin if you want to get away from it all yet enjoy activities the local area has to offer. Plus the owners were very informative and answered questions we had right away. We highly reccommend staying here!

God's Country

  • 5 of 5

The home is just as described (beautiful ). The fall colors were magnificent. Only saw some deer, no elk.Night sky was breath taking. Could get tv (satalight ) to work. Didn't want to waste my time trying to reach Dish network, only had 4 days. If you need tv you might want to get it working as soon as you arrive. Fatastic location and great home !!!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the cabin!! We came up to do some maintenance the day you left & figured out that someone had unplugged the main box for satellite TV but got it working! Hope you can come back very soon!

7 Acre Woods Grand Lake Colorado

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed a week at 7 acre woods for my daughters wedding at Grand Lake Lodge. The cabin is in excellent condition very clean and spacious. It was fully equipped with everything needed for a family stay even the little extras you may have forgotten. The mountain & lake view were breathtaking!! We also had special guest elk and deer visit right outside our door.
