Come stay in our newly renovated 1890's train station in the heart of the bluegrass.

We are on a working thoroughbred horse farm right off Paris Pike, one of the most scenic areas in all of Central Kentucky. Drive by Gainsway and Elemendorf farms on the way to Claiborne farm. 15 minutes to the Kentucky Horse Park, Fasig Tipton, close to Keeneland and the Lexington area attractions.

Hutchison Station was part of the L&N railroad system between 1890-1950, it still has the original hardwood floors, 12' ceilings and much of the original molding. In its heyday it included a post office, livestock loading platform, general store and blacksmith's shop. You can read more about the station house in 'Ghost Railroads of Kentucky'. Many of the original families still live in the area.

Area activities include a 9 hole golf course within walking distance, and a short drive to many 18 hole courses, horse farm tours, historicl sites including Shakertown, Mary Todd Lincoln House, Henry Clay Estate, Civil War battlefields and much more.

We have easy access to I75 & I64 and are located 1/2 way between Lexington and Paris.

Lisa and I run a Thoroughbred horse farm where the Station House is located. We live on the farm, Lisa since she was 5 years old. Farm duties involve the breeding and raising of thoroughbred horses. Lisa and her father raised and raced their own horses off this farm.

Beautiful Kentucky Treasure

So much to say, so little space! This property is set back along beautiful horse farms and rolling hills. The words "attention to detail" come to mind when describing our stay. Upon entering our rental we were awestruck at what was within this landmark building. High ceilings, comfy furniture, a breakfast nook, completely furnished kitchen - all you need and then some! Cookies were waiting for us when we arrived! The bedrooms had plenty of storage space for your belongings and super comfy beds with full linens. The claw foot tub was so inviting I went out and got a bath bomb just to make sure I didn't waste the opportunity! Everything was spotless and the grounds are well manicured. Interior decorating was breathtaking and very welcoming. The mini horse and mini donkey were extremely friendly; we had to make a run to pick up apples and carrots just to lend a little treat time. :-) Only 45 minutes from the Ark Encounter and minutes from WalMart, CVS should you need anything. Steve was very communicative and friendly. He suggested we eat breakfast at Windy Corner and we were truly not disappointed! We loved our stay and hope to return! Highly recommend! Thank you!

Loved it! Extremely clean and decorated expertly to compliment the history of the property!

We would definately come back to this property located in a peaceful and picturesque setting! Close to area attractions, yet just far enough removed from the city, so you feel like a part of the beautiful horse country. Owners were accessible and friendly, down to the personalized touch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. The entire unit was roomy, beds were very comfortable, and kitchen was supplied with everything you need. Great job Steve and Lisa-see you next time!

Perfect, perfect, a little slice of heaven.

Lovely, and furnished perfectly. It's obvious the owner put a lot of thought into the planning of this unit, beautiful molding, floors and decor, comfortable beds and easy kitchen. I might only suggest they put salt and pepper, maybe some sugar in the kitchen. Outside of that you really wanted for nothing. Glorious view of rolling hillside with horses and a sweet pen next to the unit with 2 adorable, friendly donkeys. Highly recommend.
