About Steve Parkes
Lisa and I run a Thoroughbred horse farm where the Station House is located. We live on the farm, Lisa since she was 5 years old. Farm duties involve the breeding and raising of thoroughbred horses. Lisa and her father raised and raced their own horses off this farm.
Why Steve Parkes chose Paris
This property has been part of the family farm since the 60's.

Hutchison Station - Exceptional!
This is our second stay and we found it exceptional & memorable. Serene location, all the comforts of home, close to everything & CLEAN! The Parkes are invested hosts in treating their guests special, thank you!!
This property is exceptional, in the perfect location to enjoy Thoroughbred and Blue Grass country. It was beautiful and so clean and we fell in love with it at first sight! Steve and Lisa did a wonderful job renovating this property. They are such gracious hosts and made us feel at home. We will definitely visit again!! I recommend this property to experience a wonderful vacation.
Excellent condo from an old railroad depot
This was a wonderful comfortable place with horses and pastures all around. We had a blast. Anything we wanted or needed Steve made sure we got it.
Lovely stay in the heart of horse country
Steve and Lisa have done a fantastic job of renovating this unique building. If you love horses (and even if you don't) I highly recommend it. Even though it is a duplex we never heard our neighbors so they have done a great job of soundproofing. Loved that there were some still some original parts of the train station incorporated. Super close to the Kentucky Horse Park. We enjoyed visiting Paris as well, go see Andrew at the Hartfield Distillery. We got a private tour and sampled some really good bourbon! Ate at Windy Corners and Trackside, both were excellent. Loved the fresh flowers and cookies, very nice touch. Would definitely return in the future!
Loved staying here! The location and home are beautiful! Enjoyed sitting and relaxing outside with incredible views. Paris, Kentucky is lovely and hopefully we will visit again soon.
Great place to stay to explore and enjoy Lexington while taking in the setting of a horse farm.
Property was as advertised. Very nicely renovated apartment in a former train station. The peaceful setting of the thoroughbred farm with mares and their young ones grazing was unbeatable. Close to Lexington to enjoy the city’s offerings but out enough to take in the calm and beauty of the surrounding horse farms. Owners were easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back if Lexington is in our further travel plans
