About the property

Bungalow, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

This fun island-themed beachfront bungalow, a relaxing getaway from the daily grind of the real world, has unbelievable views of the Gulf of Mexico. Located on Gulf Way in the timeless Pass-a-Grille historic district of St. Pete Beach, our cheerful 1908 beach home features 10 ft. high ceilings, delightful front and back porches, hard wood flooring, and a hidden New Orleans-style courtyard ideal for entertaining guests. In the home there are 2 bedrooms and two baths. For your viewing pleasure there is a 50 inch flat screen wall mounted t.v. in the living room with a Blue Ray disc player, streaming Netfilx and Universal control. There is also a wall mounted 40" flatscreen TV with streaming Netlix in the master bedroom. We also have a detached garage and street parking is easily available for parking additional cars.

You won't be able to miss the cool gulf breezes and unbelievable Florida sunsets in this home. While preparing meals in the kitchen, look out the sliding glass doors and witness the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico right outside your home! Walk a couple of blocks and discover fun island-themed restaurants and shops along 10th, 9th and 8th Avenues or karaoke all day long outdoors under an umbrella right on our exquisite beach at the The Seaside Grill restaurant. On 10th Avenue, directly across the street from the Seaside Grill and beach supply store, is the highly popular three-story Hurricane restaurant, one of the premier beach restaurants on St. Pete Beach. After a long day enjoying the sand and water, catch breathtaking sunsets from the Hurricane's rooftop deck while enjoying a cocktail and listening to live music.

Pass-a-Grille beach is a wide sandy beach that stretches several miles along the Gulf directly in front of the bungalow. If you walk south you will hit the rock jetty on Pass-A-Grille Pass where the Gulf meets the Intercoastal. If you head north about a mile along the beach you will be at the infamous pink Don Cesar Hotel where you can enjoy your favorite drink by the pool or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the Don's world-class restaurants.

Although you have easy access to local entertainment, this is a surprisingly private home, with a glorious location in the heart of Pass-a-Grille. The community features include tennis courts, a community center, shuffleboard, the trolley line, beachfront, intercoastal, playgrounds, basketball courts, and parks.

Catch the Suncoast Beach trolley 1/2 block from the house to access all of the Gulf Beaches, including Clearwater Beach. The trolley runs every 20 to 30 minutes from 5am to 10 pm 7 days a week and until midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. The trolley is well air-conditioned, has highly tinted windows, and you can even bring your bike! If you want to go to downtown St. Pete the trolley also connects to various bus routes which can take you there. Besides its regular stops, every few blocks there are bus stop signs where you can catch the trolley as well. The fare is $1.50 and the all day fare card is $3.50.

About Stephanie Lopez

I'm a Florida native who grew up in Miami during the 50's and 60's, and my husband and I have been Tampa residents since 1982. For years I have longed for a place that was reminiscent of the old Miami that I grew up in, undeveloped and unspoiled, and I've finally found it!! Our beloved 'Bell Bungalow' is located on Gulf Way, in quaint Pass-a-Grille. It provides that old Florida small town feeling right on beautiful St. Pete beach!! My husband and I look forward to sharing with you the joy of coastal living by opening up our beach retreat to you and your family. We have two grown identical twin daughters and have just been blessed with the birth of our first grandchild. In addition, we have two rescued pets -a white Maltese and a lively Siamese cat.

Private Paradise in quaint Pass-a-Grille

  • 5 of 5

The property is just as promised, a beach bungalow. Spacious rooms with high ceilings charmingly decorated with every amenity you could ask for. The outside deck is where we hung out the most. It is directly across the street from the gulf, so in a minute your feet are in the sand. Stephanie the owner gave us great suggestions for places to go nearby. I rented a bike for the week and explored the town and the neighboring island. It is uncrowded and kind of an artsy vibe downtown, which is just two blocks away. But you don’t feel like you’re in a downtown at all. Ate at Grace, a wonderful restaurant on 8th Street and The Wharf. And just got kebabs from Shaner’s and grilled out at home three nights! The back patio has a grill and beautiful furnishings and is very private. We just had the most relaxing week, which is just what I want in a beach vacation.

Pass-A-Grille Gem

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a weeks stay at the Bell Bungalow and it was WONDERFUL! Perfect location on Pass-A-Grille, across from the beach and two blocks from restaurants, shops and bars. If you are looking for a cute and cozy beach front cottage this is your place! Great indoor space, loved the screened front porch, and lots of outdoor space to enjoy day and night. The side deck was great for morning/daytime sun if it was too windy for the beach and the back patio was a great evening hangout for us. The Bungalow has everything you need for your stay and the Lopez family are so pleasant to work with. They live in the area and were available to us anytime we called with a question. Would definitely rent again.

Beach bungalow with great amenities

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beach bungalow. The property offers great space indoors and out. The back patio area with the gas grill is a great place to spend the evening after the sun has set enjoying the lighting and ambiance of your own private space by the sea. The kitchen is very well equipped which we enjoyed given the opportunity to visit Shaner's Land and Sea (just a few blocks away) for delectable seafood options to prepare at the bungalow. We would definitely recommend taking a short drive to Tierre Verde for some wonderful and very filling Italian food at Tony & Nello's. Watching the sunset from the balcony at The Brass Monkey a short walk away is also something we would recommend. There are plenty of things to do in the area with bikes, paddleboards etc all available right across the street. The bungalow also provided plenty of beach accessories (chairs, coolers, etc). We couldn't have asked for a better equipped and comfortable place to spend the week. We have stayed several places in the area over the last few years. This is definitely one we would revisit and recommend to friends. Do yourself a favor and book your getaway here.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a little over a week in mid-September to attend an anniversary party for friends in nearby Vina Del Mar. Loved the house. Location can't be beat right across from the beach and easy walking to eating/drinking/shopping. You could just hang in Pass-a-Grille if you wanted, but driving up Gulf Blvd has a lot to offer as well. House is spacious and super comfortable. We stayed all on the lower level. Especially loved the master bed/bathroom and living room. Lots of areas to enjoy the outside - the screened-in porch, the patio and courtyard. Unfortunately it was very hot while we were there so we didn't take advantage of them like we wanted (and bring your insect spray). The equipment/toys for the beach were great fun - seem to have thought of everything. And, being right around the corner from the historical museum we picked up a brochure for a historical walking tour of Pass-a-Grille. Fun to discover the Bell Bungalow is on the tour! One of my favorite houses we have stayed in.

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

The Bell Bungalow is a beautiful house in a fantastic location. I look for properties that can be a home away from home while on vacation, and this home met all of my needs. Located on the Gulf, we relaxed on the deck, sipped wine in the beautiful courtyard, and watched breathtaking sunsets. I loved the option of walking to restaurants.

Stephanie is a wonderful hostess. She was extremely attentive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. I will definitely stay here again.

Great house and wonderful location!

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from our second vacation to Pass-a-Grille staying at the Bell Bungalow, and we are planning to make it am annual tradition. The house is directly across from the beach and close to so many restaurants, but we always had the option of just hanging out in the cool comfort of home. With a small child, it was great that he had his own room, plus we could go relax on the patio and soak in the sun during naps or have a drink when he goes to bed. Stephanie is also great to work with and made sure we had a comfortable stay. We look forward to many future visits and making this wonderful house and location the backdrop for some awesome childhood memories for our son!
