We had another very peaceful stay at the Johnson house.

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful property and setting for our family reunions. All of the amenities that you could want are here and it feels just like going to grandma’s farm house. We highly recommend experiencing this home away from home.

An authentic Oregon experience

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here in August with our kiddos and our parents and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a good jumping off point for the Oregon Caves outing. Our kids loved the swing in the huge yard, the sweet farm dog who visited and all the delicious fruit growing there. Only downsides we're that the beds were a bit lumpy, and internet access was limited. We were worried about the lack of AC, and even brought a little unit of our own as backup, but we never needed it even as temperatures approached 90 degrees in the daytime. It cooled down upstairs nicely by bedtime and was cool enough downstairs at all hours of the day. Foris Vineyard and Bridgeview tasting rooms and Vineyards are right nearby and great for an afternoon visit or picnic outing.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure meeting you and you family. Being rural it is hard to get an internet connection, and a speedy one is near impossible, but Milo, the sweet dog makes up for the slow connection. 😊

A Great Place for Family Fun!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Johnson House. My 2 grandsons and even some of the "adults" loved the swing in the backyard! It was perfect for us - we felt at home as soon as we got there!

Comfortable old home, great stay

  • 4 of 5

This old farmhouse is nestled in among the vineyards with lovely views to the mountains. The house is old, so had a character in the way that old homes do. Everything was clean, the linens were spotless, and comfortable beds (and we are fussy about beds!). We especially enjoyed eating at the picnic table in the shade of a beautiful, old tree. We also enjoyed the visit from the friendly and well-behaved dog next door who seems to just enjoy hanging out on the porch or the backyard.

Ceilings are low, so maybe it wouldn't work as well for very tall people, but it was fine for us average height folks. If you need to do laundry, there's a washer and dryer there, but bring your own soap.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much there is to do in this area, and we appreciated the tourist information provided at the house. We went zip lining nearby, and it was an easy drive to the Oregon Caves (while you're there, check out the vintage diner at the lodge). Many wineries in the area, and close to river rafting.

A comfortable home in a lovely, bucolic setting!

Simply Splendid

  • 5 of 5

Five brothes, six nights, and each and every one of us was so very comfortable in our own rooms. Peaceful, cozy, charming and warm is how I would describe this home.

A beautiful old farmhouse property

  • 5 of 5

We loved it! It has a nice big open, green grassy lawn for kids to play in and a picnic table to eat at under a great big oak tree. And inside its huge- tall ceilings and interesting design. The house has lots of history and there is a binder that has some of it written down. The owners are very nice and longtime residents in the valley. Everything works and is well-maintained. It feels very open, yet private. I would highly recommend this place!
