The two covered porches provide quiet places to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Forest Edge Cabin is just outside of the town of West Yellowstone, Montana which boasts many restaurants and shops, an Imax Theater, a cinema, seasonal theater and rodeo, the Museum of the Yellowstone, and a visitors center with free presentations by park rangers. The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is home to numerous animals in their natural habitat. SUMMER Just minutes away are recreational opportunities too numerous to mention. In addition to the beautiful scenery and hiking trails, the Madison River has some of the best fly fishing spots in the country. Boating and lake fishing are available on Yellowstone Lake, Hegben Lake, Quake Lake, Henry's Lake, and Island Park Reservoir. This is the perfect place to Snowmobile! Check out the local restaurants and meet the locals in West Yellowstone. We rented from High Mark Rentals and just had a blast! This house is perfect and right at the trailhead! Fun Fun Fun!

Perfectly casual

  • 5 of 5

Fancy is not a word used to describe this house. Comfortable, however, is appropriate. The photos are true to form. Most importantly, the house was super clean and everything worked. I would say it is perfectly suited for families. Great location, especially if you want to avoid the West Yellowstone tourist trap town. It is a bit of a hike to take advantage of the zip line and rafting tours. However, perfectly located for horseback riding as there are many options. I would definitely use this place again.

Wonderful house

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed the house. The location was close to Yellowstone NP. Loved visiting downtown West Yellowstone. Enjoyed visiting Quake Lake. Beds were comfortable but small bedrooms. Internet was slow for more than one device. Nice trail next to the house. Very spacious dining area. Having two laundry areas was great for a large group. Would recommend this house.
