My husband and I are retired and enjoy the cool, crisp mountain air in Ruidoso, New Mexico. We live 9 hours from the cabin, near our grandchildren, and want to rent the cabin so others can share the wonderful memories we have created here in the mountains. The picture is an anniversary celebration dinner at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, Wendell's Restaurant.
Nancy Rose purchased this cabin in 2008
When we purchased this property our grandchildren LOVED the pioneer type setting, with lots of wildlife and birds, woods and trails to explore. We hope you will experience the same passion for the mountain and exciting adventures in the Lincoln National Forest, closely adjoining our property. We wanted a peaceful cabin, nestled in the pine trees, with a majestic view of the Sierra Blanca Mountains which can be seen from both upper and the lower decks of the cabin. You should come and enjoy!
The mountain view and cabin are full of peace and rest for all that travel here. Within 3 miles are many other activities for everyone to enjoy; shopping, restaurants, fishing, skiing, golfing, to name a few.
Nancy Rose's cabin was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had plenty of cooking pots and pans.
The cabin is located on a very quite secluded road.
I would recommend this cabin as a place to stay and also close to town.
Our friends and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend in Ruidoso. The cabin was all we could imagine for our trip. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your vacation home......we will come back!!
We had a great time! Deer right up to the back door. Relaxing porch with great view of the mountains! A really nice place to unwind.... Thank you for sharing you home with us!!
Great mountain property with great view, yet convenient to downtown. We totally enjoyed our one week stay. Our group included five adults, two couples and a single. Extremely comfortable home with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and big open living area opening to great deck. Could not have been happier. Highly recommend!!!
We stayed in this cabin with our two young children (ages 2 and 4) and overall it was very kid-friendly. The spiral staircase leading to the downstairs bedroom is a bit tricky for little ones but otherwise, they did great! Everything was just as we expected and we didn't have any problems with our stay. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful and it's still very convenient to town.
Many people have a tendency to be skeptical about purchasing goods and services online sight unseen. My husband is one of those individuals. Yes, we saw the HomeAway photographs but that didn't mean that "things" worked or were clean and comfortable. Was he ever surprised with Peaceful Pines! It was EVERYTHING advertised and more. This cabin was truly a "home away". All amenities were as stated on the site. The inside of the cabin was clean and comfortable with enough seating, bedding, kitchen supplies needed for a short weekend or a prolonged stay. The upper deck, facing the mountains to the west was beautiful, the lower deck overlooked the close-in forest. The cabin is close enough to town that restaurants and movie theaters are only a few miles away (if anyone wants to leave the quite surrounding beauty). The national forest is down the road with it's hiking trails and serene beauty.
The owners are friendly and accommodating and eager to help with any needs or concerns.
The cabin is close to skiing, mopeds, fishing, hiking, golfing, scenic tours, horseback riding, gaming. Quarter horse racing, restaurants, go carts, miniature golf, live theater, movie theater, museum, night life, city parks and pool, mountain biking, convention center, and the Lincoln National Forest.
