About Marjorie Lamb
Family Owned Retreat, this home was purchased by our late sister, Robin J. Lamb, with the intent to enjoy the journey of life and not just the gold. There are now two generations of family that enjoy the beauty of the farm house and waterfront. In order to maintain the property and continue our sister's wishes, we have opened the home to vacationers that want to enjoy our sister's passion for the water and Eastern Shore Life for a week. Enjoy!
Marjorie Lamb purchased this House in 1999
Why Marjorie Lamb chose Onancock
The location was our sister's home, specifically chosen on the central eastern seaboard of the US. Our family could get to Virginia in one days drive from NY, Ohio, South Carolina, & Florida. Robin loved sailing and the stars! On a day trip from Baltimore where Robin lived in 1999, she came across the Deep Creek farm house and fell in love. She immediately bought the home and made several improvements (dock, house raised, 1/2 bath on second floor, and turned an old shed into a studio). The Studio has since been renovated into a detached appartment with one bedroom, one full bath, efficiency kitchen, living/dining, and two decks.
What makes this House unique
Seafood, seafood, seafood, rest & relaxing. Turning off the television, computer, and enjoying a good summer novel! Local dining, old cinema, evening bonfires, and cookouts are among my favorite activities.

Love the location.
Could use a good spring cleaning, but was generally clean. Love the location and crabbing.
Peaceful serene panorama of Deep Creek!!!
Upon arrival, the View is outstanding provided by floor to ceiling large sliding glass windows on two sides of old farmhouse! We enjoyed the many amenities provided, beach cruisers for bike riding in neighborhood, crab pots for crabbing, plentiful dishes & cookware in kitchen, Sat TV with Netflix, Hulu etc on flat screens up & downstairs & WIFI! Half bath upstairs for late night bathroom trips, full bath on main floor, screened in large porch with Rockers & ceiling fans, tray tables for comfort to crack crabs, nice neighbors, peace & serenity, nice, sturdy dock for crabbing, kayaking & fishing!!! The crabs were plentiful, no fish at this time! Enjoyed ourselves very much after we got used to bugs & flies outside on grounds! Hope to return for a longer stay next year!
Incredible Water Views
Wonderful views and wonderful setting. Off the beaten path just enough, but close enough to town for anything you need or want. Owner was kind and a pleasure to deal with. Clearly remains a labor of love and having learned about the incredible women who originally bought and lived there, I understand why. Beautiful new sliders just went in that create an unbelievable panorama of Deep Creek. Kitchen was great and large, A/C was great and cold. Spent endless hours on the dock and on the screened in porch (which needs a little TLC). Beds were fine and full bath was nice and spacious. If you're looking for a great spot to de-stress, hang with the kids or friends or loved one, this is the place. We look forward to returning.
A beautiful space to enjoy a quiet vacation. Spectacular sunrises await you every morning!
Great holiday retreat.
Very comfortable accommodations with plenty of kitchenware to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner. It was everything the listing promised. Many entertainment opportunities for the kids and dogs--biking, kayaking, and marsh exploring. Thanks Camp Deep Creek!
Wonderful and Relaxing
We used Camp Deep Creek to house instructors teaching a class on the Shore for about 9 weeks. They all enjoyed their stay. The accommodations were comfortable and had everything they needed. They especially enjoyed the fishing and crabbing right off the pier. The waterfront view is beautiful and relaxing. We will definitely use Camp Deep Creek again!
