The lake is a 8 minute walk, A boat launch is less than 2 miles away. Two great golf courses and some great trails to explore caves are less than 10 minutes away. Many people want to take advantage of small weddings at the property. We limit attendance to a total of 35 people as the maximum. The home does provide a very nice location for small weddings. A fee of $400 is added to the cost of the home for a wedding.

It was nice

  • 4 of 5

This was a stopover for us on our way to visit family in Northwestern Arkansas. The house was very nice, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen was well-appointed, and we ate in and cooked for every meal. The large, commercial grade oven/stove worked well except for one burner and the built-in grill. The outdoor gas grill was usable but needs to be replaced as the burners did not burn evenly and the bottom has rusted/worn out. I prefer a charcoal grill, and there was a Weber charcoal grill there. Unfortunately, the cooking grate was too rusted which made it unusable.

The outdoor fireplace was great and something we used daily. Bob recommended Craven's for groceries. This was excellent advice, as they had a good selection, excellent meats, and was a very short drive.

I would not classify this as an Ozark Mtn Home. We usu rent homes in remote settings with views of wild life. This home was in an undeveloped subdivision with a fair amount of road/traffic noise. The view of the lake was nice but would have preferred to be on the lake, but we learned this is not allowed on this lake. I think of a Mtn home as being at a higher elevation, in a somewhat remote location, with privacy and limited noise from public roads.

Bob, and Roxy his wife, were wonderful caretakers. Bob met us at check in and gave us a detailed tour of the home. They were always available to ans any questions. If I owned a rental home I would want them as my caretakers. They cared for the property as if it were their own and made every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

There are no words to describe how wonderfully special this place is. It feels like home .

  • 5 of 5

The property and home was articulisly calculated for style, comfort, beauty, and heavy use. The detail is unbelievable. The caretakers of the property did a great job being available for anything, anytime. Many thanks to the owner for such hospitality and use of their wonderful "home away from home." We can't speak high enough of it. Highest ratings possible. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, Jackie Reynolds & Kim Moore.

Some call it the 'Aspen of Arkansas' - pure mountain air, crystal clear water, and pristine countryside. Take a sunset cruise on Greers Ferry Lake or go trout fishing on the world-famous Little Red River. Whether you want to explore the mountains, valleys and caves or play a picturesque 18 holes, this resort area offers it all. 'Greers', as it is affectionately called, holds the enchantment of days gone by - an unhurried way of life where time spent with family and friends is the priority of the day.

Heber Springs, and the surrounding Greers Ferry Lake/Little Red River area, is one of the premier resort destinations in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. Our terrain is very similar to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina. Our mountains are just a little smaller. People who visit here often comment they had no idea the state was so beautiful. Whether you are looking for lakefront, lakeview, riverfront or acreage, this north central Arkansas location offers it all.
