Why Robert hardesty chose Heavenly Resort
Incredible proximity to ski area.
What makes this Bungalow unique
You have the best skiing, boarding and hiking Tahoe has to offer. This property is not one of the stacked up and down, side by side rentals that are predominant here with next to impossible access, dozens of slippery stairs, and parking in the street. We have a garage with an interior stairway up 10' to the rental. No neighbors on top of or below. Very private. The rental is new as well as the furniture. It is well insulated and has 2 fireplaces. Awesome view of the ski run as well as the mountain. More pictures will follow as we refurnish.

Enjoyed the stay
Property was clean. Location was great. Hiked up to Pacific Rim trail. Very comfortable.
Great Place For a Large Group or a Large Family
Great place for a large group or a large family. Everyone loved the stay especially the 17 and 20 yr olds. Would stay again. Kitchen and table could handle the large group. Sun room was great. Everyone liked their bedrooms and the boys liked the bunk room and entertainment room. Five families in our group of 18.; rented main house and garage apartment.
Great place for a spring ski getaway
Cozy, clean, and cheerful, this little gem sits above the 4 car garage below the "big house". Truly ski-in, ski out, we had to walk about 20 feet to the slopes. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive. Two gas fireplaces supplied heat and charm. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed in good working order. Kitchen had all essentials for cooking. Some noise from folks using the "big house" coming and going on a common staircase. We very much enjoyed our stay. I hope to return next year.
Convenient, cosy, ski-in/out
The property was cosy and well-maintained, and very easy ski in/out. The owner was responsive and let us leave our car in the garage until we had finished skiing on the day we checked out, which we appreciated very much. The only downside was that the hot tub is far enough away that it is best to drive, so we ended up not using it.
Great host, amazing location, cozy apartment
Let me start with Bob, your host-to-be. Obviously cares for "The Bear on Roof" and is amazingly responsive. As example, had question driving to Tahoe, and Bob responded within 3 minutes. Can't expect that quick a response all the time, but his attentiveness impressed.
Location: If you want a ski in-ski out that is 15 feet from the slope, stay at the Bear. Walked down the stairs from apartment, walked across a small road, and popped on skis for six hours of skiing (only broken by a stop back at "home" for lunch).
Apartment: Cozy. Good condition. Has all the necessities for cooking and comfortable stay. Bonus is garage, so no digging out. We just needed to get about snow off the 3 foot long driveway.
As a VRBO owner myself, can without qualification, give Bob and his "Bear on the Roof" highest recommendation.
We are at the foot of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Perfect for the base camp for day trekking.
