We have 100% 5-Star Reviews! See what our guests have to say. We guarantee you won't be disappointed either.

'Your home was warm and inviting and quite spacious. The views were very nice. The location is exactly what you described: 'just minutes from everything'. We are glad we did not pass it up. We really felt at home. Thank you.' Lisa K. Seattle, WA.

The 2000+ sq ft home sits on 17,000 sq ft of property and features: 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, ½ bath, 2-car attached garage, fully equipped kitchen, dining/living area, laundry room, and a desert landscaped back yard that features a windmill and plenty of pace to park an RV or boat.

Located in the heart of the Wine-Trail of the 'Turquoise Triangle', Jerome-Cottonwood-Sedona, of the beautiful Arizona Verde Valley. Very close to the beauty of Sedona but away from the tourist crowds, the home is nestled in the rolling hills of Verde Village in Cottonwood, located between Sedona and Jerome, literally a few minutes' drive. Wine tasting in the local vineyards and wineries is within 10 to 15 minutes.

Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen Details: Living Room - As the center of the home, this room is perfect for gathering and enjoying the amazing view from the 10-foot sliding door, which doubles as a gigantic panoramic picture frame! This is truly “a room with a view”.

Dining Room - The large teak table accommodates 8 people. Enjoy a serene meal with spectacular views of the Sedona Red Rocks from the East-facing sliding door and the Serene Mingus Mountains from the front West giant window.

Kitchen - Fully equipped with refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, trash compactor, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker and microwave oven. Adjacent to the kitchen you will find a washer and dryer as well as an iron and ironing board.

Bedrooms: Master Bedroom - A quiet and relaxing room with its own master bath and walk-in closet. The master bath features an extra large, easy access shower stall. The room has its own sliding door to the backyard deck and features a relaxation corner that is perfect for meditation, yoga or just an afternoon siesta.

Kids Room - Comfortably sleeps four children or teens. The room has two twin bunk beds, a dresser, and closet. The upper bunks are best suited for younger children. The rock art in the room was made by our kids!

Bathroom - This bathroom is adjacent to the kid’s room and features a bathtub and linen closet.

Guest Room - This is a very large room that doubles as a family room. It has a queen size bed, a dresser, and closet space on both sides of the bed. The room features Scandinavian teak sitting furniture and book shelves filled with board games, puzzles and movies.

Why stay at Casa del Cielo: Compare the advantages of staying at our home:

Costs less: A 2-diamond cheesy hotel room will cost you $100.00 plus 12.33% tax! Sleeps 4, No privacy! You need two rooms to accommodate 8 people. That's over $225.00 per night. A 3-diamond room will cost you $149.00 per night plus tax! (source: Travelocity, cheaprooms).

Have Space: After a day of touring, relax, have some space, play board games, sit on the deck or living room and enjoy the view, the sunsets and sunrises, the constellations, the monsoons of August--they cool-off the night, the winter snow or the incredible lightning storms and rainbows.

Save on Meals: No need to eat out three times a day. That gets expensive. Eat breakfast in your pajamas, cook a gourmet meal or order pizza. Pack a lunch for your hikes or bake a cake!

What more can we say?

Great house, great value and close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family and very close to everything. With a big family,we really needed space that was affordable, nice and comfortable. This house is really a great deal. No hotel could match neither the space nor the price. And the views are great. We highly recommend it.

Not up to VRBO standards

Old, tired, electric outlets didn't work. Very roomy. Good for family reunion. Out of Africa is well worth it. Good beds.

Something for everyone and great views too.

  • 5 of 5

First the property: Well supplied and really offered a lot of fun extras. Our toddler loved the children's room; the books, toys, table and chairs were an immediate hit. We loved the welcome, enter from the front door and see through to the deck and outdoors---so welcoming. Bedrooms are large and have sitting areas in all of them, helped out for the infant bed and almost provided a separate area for her within the suite. Kitchen was easy to use, easy to clean up and had a lot of things to use ---coffee filters, extra soap for dishes/dishwasher/laundry. Every sink in the house had hand soap and towels ready for use. Beds were super comfortable, and great for bodies tired from a day's touring/hiking/getting around. The showers were great, the water can get hot, really hot, but that beats places where there is no hot water. It was easy to adjust, but it was great to have hot water when you wanted it. We spent most of our time when we were home on the deck, or in the living room looking out onto the deck. There were hummers there, in October! It was just the tip of the birds we enjoyed; the sunrises; the skies at night and just resting from all we had done. There were three generations of us and, following the invitation, we did look everywhere and had a wonderful time discovering all the wonders that the owners had left to share with us. Going to try to buy a chess set for our grandsons similar to the one they had, it was amazing and we could not find it on amazon. Perfect for learning and just the right size. Oh, yes the roses in the front were in their final days, but still emanated a wonderful old world scent.

Second: the Location. What a place to set off from! Wish we had known this when we were all out here (10 of us) to tour the Grand Canyon and environs. THanks to 89, Sedona is less than 20 minutes away and the cost of everything in Cottonwood is more in keeping with how much i want to pay for things. We were up in Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek, but had the joy of such a rejuvenating location after sightseeing. In addition, we found the restaurants are heads above those in Sedona in flavor, offerings and price. We would never have found the Manzanita in Cornsville had we stayed in Sedona. The Farside in Cottonwood and Nic's to name just a few.

Third: No worries: Unlike the touristy places in Sedona, the neighborhood was so safe and quiet. We never worried about our car or ourselves. We felt very safe and 'at home'.

A Beautiful, Comfortable, Quiet, and Scenic Place to Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a clean, spacious, comfortable place to relax on your vacation, complete with a gorgeous view of the Red Rocks, then this is your vacation home! We enjoyed our stay here so much. It was a million times better than a hotel room. The back deck was perfect for morning coffee, watching the hot air balloons launch around the Red Rocks, and the neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. With just the two of us, we had MORE than enough room in this house, which was so nice. The beds are very comfortable, and everything was clean and very accommodating. The rooms are very large and the décor beautiful. We loved that the house was centrally located to Sedona, Jerome, and Old Town Cottonwood. My husband and I will definitely be back, and plan to rent from Mac and Yazmin again!!! Thank you so much for helping to make our yearly vacation to the Sedona/Cottonwood/Jerome area so amazing. See you next Spring!!!!

Great for our purposes.

  • 4 of 5

We really only slept there as we were involved in activities at the fair ground from early morning until fairly late in the evening. It was nice to have sleeping options and more than one bathroom. Being able to make some snacks and breakfast was a big plus. Unfortunately there was a heat wave in Cottonwood and the house had no refrigeration, so one of the bedrooms was pretty uncomfortable. Overall the experience was good, we would do it again.

About Mac & Yazmin Peebles

We are a family of six. We have four sons: Nathan (23 and a recent graduate of USC's Film School) Adam (18 and a Freshman at UC Berkeley), and seven year old twins, Yonah and Remi (in Second Grade). Mac is a software engineer and Yazmin is a Business and Operations Manager and owns an Etsy shop. We have been very blessed with a wonderful family and good health. We enjoy the outdoors, our kids, and doing charitable work.

Why Mac & Yazmin Peebles chose Cottonwood

The minute we walked in the house, we fell in love with the views! We love that all the rooms are large and private and the living area is warm and conducive to family time. The deck is perfect for watching the changing colors of the Red Rocks, the stars, lightning showers during monsoon season, and hot air balloons in the mornings. Dinners al fresco are pure bliss!

We decided that family vacations in a quaint town full of outdoor adventure opportunities would be the perfect place for four boys. Over the last 10 years, we have had so many wonderful times together, away from it all. Our home has been the perfect place to build those memories.

What makes this house unique

We had visited the area and fell in love with the absolute beauty of the Verde Valley and everything it has to offer. We picked Cottonwood because it has not lost its old-town, quaint feel of small town America; and because it is literally in the middle of everything there is to do in the area.

We love to travel, but we are not fond of touristy places. We like to stay where regular folk live and experience the area like 'locals', not tourists. We support small businesses and eat at local neighborhood joints. Our home is located in a place where we can do that; where the neighbors are friendly and look out for each other.

If you stay in Sedona, you will find yourself driving through Cottonwood multiple times, because a lot of the beautiful, cool, and amazing places to see and visit are down this way. In fact, Cottonwood is the heart of the Verde Valley Wine-Trail and the heart of what is known as the Turquoise Triangle (Jerome-Cottonwood-Sedona); where you can enjoy the Wine Trail from Page Springs to Jerome Ghost Town turned artist colony, Tuzigoot, Verde Canyon Train, Old Towns Cottonwood and Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Waterfront Park, Dead horse Ranch, Verde Railroad, Sycamore Canyon, Out of Africa, and much more!

From the Red Rocks of Sedona to Mingus Mountains of Jerome, accessibility is at its peak in this community well known for its attraction of tourists and families looking for a peaceful place to vacation. The Verde River flows through the town and the home is very close to its riparian habitat along the Verde River Watershed, which attracts nearly a third of the 900 species of birds in the United States and Canada—from the miniature hummingbird to broad-winged raptors. Many of these birds can be seen right from the home's backyard deck!

Cottonwood is bordered on the south, east and west by high mountains and on the north by mesas and buttes. Arizona’s Verde Valley is home to numerous National Monuments, State Parks and National Forests. At an elevation of 3,300 feet above sea level, this high desert enjoys all four seasons with comfortable weather year round.

Other Activities: state parks, river swimming, spas, 4-wheel riding, jeep rentals, art galleries, casino, indian ruins, archeology, geology, out of Africa Park
