Needs a few things but nice home

  • 4 of 5

I will start with the positive. It is in the perfect location. The house is great. I am a very detailed person since I am in the hospitality industry. Some things were left out here. The home needs a deep cleaning. Many items in the kitchen were left dirty. The floors were dirty. There were very loud banging sound like a bear trying to break in about 5-6 am and no sleeping through it. I did read the reviews here and someone else complained so I am not sure why the management company acted dumb when I emailed and they responded on the way out that they would send someone over. Also upon arrival the driveway is extremely deep and there are two ways to get in. if you have a minivan or low car, you will bottom out. We had major damage to our car because we could not get it up the driveway and it was a new 2017 car. Management again did not care about this. This should be in the manual to let people know about this because it is so dark. The hospitable thing to do would be to apologize and offer something but they did not. For any other incoming people go up the second driveway for a better chance of not bottoming out. One other small detail was upon arrival there is a door by the carport and again in no place in the instructions does it say to go upstairs so when you try to do the code. there are not enough numbers on the door on the bottom which is scary when you come in the dark and the light stays on for one minute. It took us running around to try and figure out how to get in. This is not cool in the pitch black and all auto lights work for about 10 seconds each max. Beds, only one is comfortable enough but the other two rooms are terrible. This is potentially a really nice home and all it needs it some self care. Get new mattresses! One of the beds you can actually feel the springs and the entire bed squeaks. Also the patio furniture you can't sit on because there are no cushions. I highly suggest the owner makes some small tweaks and this could be a perfect place. I also could not find a 24-hour number in my paperwork so when I tried to get a later check out - they also never called me back when I did find it.

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

My friends absolutely enjoyed this place. The owner was great with communicating the location and check-in, check-out instructions. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time in Tahoe.

Great house

  • 5 of 5

Loved the house. It was spacious and cozy, quiet and relaxing. Perfect for our stay and family. Will definitely be going back.

Just a couple of cons:

-only gave us 3 wash rags for 6 people. Not cool.

-crazy loud jackhammer sound comes from the garage in the morning. Sounds like a very old water softener unit. Talked with Goldfish and they sent someone to check it out. Don't know the outcome because our stay was over. Hopefully they fixed that as it would happen early in the morning and there is no sleeping through it.

Other than those two cons. It was wonderful and very pleasant. The hot tub was a nice bonus.

Beautiful house, clean, spacious. Good location. Awesome backyard.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed staying at this place very much! Big bedrooms, comfy mattresses. Clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything that we needed, plus a nice view. The backyard is a mountain-lots of room to play in the snow.

Master bathroom didnt lock which was kinda awkward, but I wouldn't take star off for that, because everything else was absolutely amazing.

Nearly 5 Stars, but Needs Some Upgrades!

  • 4 of 5

718 Tyner is a comfortable chalet style house located on a quiet street in beautiful Incline Village, close to all of the main attractions of North Tahoe, that can sleep 6 with ease, and possibly 3 additional, but with much less comfort and privacy. Bedrooms are spacious, and the open plan living, dining, kitchen with fireplace are wonderful for having every one together at the end of a day out. The biggest plus is a wonderfully equipped kitchen, which was great for our group of foodie/chefs! The major downside is on the tech side. The computer is very old, obviously the owner's old castoff, and would not boot up at all. And the main TV over the fireplace is an antiquated Panasonic LED giant with few of the connection possibilities available in newer (and much cheaper) models (such as Vizio). This made connections of devices like a Roku or other devices difficult and the picture quality was iffy. Given how cheap both computers and flat screen TVs are these days, why not upgrade? That would have made this a 5 star property, in our estimation.
