3 bedroom 3 bath sleeps 9. carport available, hot tub on premises.
This gorgeous home has just had a complete kitchen renovation with beautiful maple cabinets and granite counters. All new stainless steel appliances with new alder hardwood floors. The kitchen opens to the great room with exposed beam ceiling and wall of windows looking out to Lake Tahoe and the treetops. The great room has a Gas Log fireplace with a 42" plasma TV over the mantle.
The dining room has seating for 8 people, with 4 more seated at the granite counter. You will love the brand new seating in front of the fireplace. The sliding doors lead out to the spacious deck with seating and a Hot Springs hot tub. You can relax as you look at Lake Tahoe or the stars at night. Upstairs are two large bedrooms with each having its own newly tiled bathroom. Each bedroom also looks out to the forest area behind the cabin for hiking.
Downstairs is the bunkroom with its own full bathroom. There is a full bed on bottom and twin above. Also a full size futon to enjoy the 42" plasma downstairs. This level walks out to a covered parking area for your convenience. Great for bringing in supplies and groceries.
*The available Garage is a covered car-port.
718 Tyner is a comfortable chalet style house located on a quiet street in beautiful Incline Village, close to all of the main attractions of North Tahoe, that can sleep 6 with ease, and possibly 3 additional, but with much less comfort and privacy. Bedrooms are spacious, and the open plan living, dining, kitchen with fireplace are wonderful for having every one together at the end of a day out. The biggest plus is a wonderfully equipped kitchen, which was great for our group of foodie/chefs! The major downside is on the tech side. The computer is very old, obviously the owner's old castoff, and would not boot up at all. And the main TV over the fireplace is an antiquated Panasonic LED giant with few of the connection possibilities available in newer (and much cheaper) models (such as Vizio). This made connections of devices like a Roku or other devices difficult and the picture quality was iffy. Given how cheap both computers and flat screen TVs are these days, why not upgrade? That would have made this a 5 star property, in our estimation.
We found it very easy to get around from the location of the property. We were left short of towels, wash towel and linens. Contacted management (nice people) and they were prompt getting needed items to us including extra towels for the beach, nice! We did end up buying extra soap, paper towels and kleenex. Not sure if this was to be provided or up to us. Living room/kitchen area tighter than what it looks like in the pictures but it was enough space for all (7) of us. Bedrooms nice size. Extra pullout bed (loveseat in one of the bedrooms) was shot and not a good option used as a bed (this was to be my bed) so I opted to sleep on the couch in the livingroom. Overall main surfaces like kitchen and bathrooms clean but it could use a good deep cleaning such as carpets, grill, baseboards, shower curtain, some patio chairs ripped up.
The house worked very well for our family of 7. Especially having 3 large bedrooms, and 3 baths worked out well for getting everybody up and going each morning. Nice newer kitchen is well stocked with all necessary utensils, flatware, pots, pans, and appliances.
Big dining table had plenty of room for our long evening meals where we reminisced on the activities of the day.
Hot tub on the porch was used a lot and was clean and worked well.
There's no table on the large porch which I thought was a bummer but there are patio chairs and ottomans which sufficed and we didn't really miss eating outside since it was dark most nights by the time we got back from the day's activities to eat. The gas grill is a bit small but worked out OK after a good cleaning.
Location is great, quiet with only a house on each side, back yard is mountainside. Easy access to grocery store and shops, beach and short drives to everything else. Even Carson City was only a surprising 25 minute drive down the hill.
The pictures are accurate although typically make things look a bit bigger than reality, but no complaints. The inside looks much better than the outside view.
We would stay here again, no hesitation.
Our stay was a "tale of two cities". Some aspects of the property we liked, other aspects were less than stellar. First, I'll list the not so good. The deck on the property needs some repair, the carpeted areas need to be cleaned, the grill was a mess, and the home had a "musty" smell upon entry. I assume that because we rented in the "shoulder" season, the house had not been occupied for awhile. This fact might explain the aspects of the property we found disagreeable. On the flip side, the dining table made family gatherings very pleasant, the hot tub was a treat, and the sleeping areas accommodated eight adults very comfortably. I would most likely stay at this property again if the minor issues above were addressed. Overall, our stay was pleasant and quiet.
Access to the property and arrangements for our departure were effortless. Kudos to Goldfish Properties in this area. We would also like to pass on a special thanks to Carlos for a quick response on the clothes washer. Carlos, if you ever have time for that cup of coffee, I'll buy you one any time!
I couldn't think of a better place to do my team retreat, the house was in a great location, as it was close to everything and it was in a quiet location. Listing was accurate with everything they said, property was really clean and I had no issues with anything while I was there. From the very beginning, all of the customer service was great. If you're in to outdoor activities, hiking, lake, patio's, this would a great place for you to check out and stay.
