We are the most booked house in the roaring fork valley because I work hard to make it a dang great place to stay.

For real, call or txt before booking to confirm we are going to be a cozy fit for your group. =)

Not slope side, but a much better value and nearly as convenient.

Our free parking pass gets you to within 50 feet of the snow after a 6-10 minute drive, or take the shuttle after short five minute walk.

Compared to a cramped condo, there is plenty of space and well built walls for everyone to spread out when you need some me time, yet our large dining and living room accommodates the whole group with a fire, a movie, or one of our ample board games and puzzles.

New for are three renovated bedrooms — With reconfigurable bedrooms, we can now accommodate any type of group. Everyone wants their own? We have 14 real beds. Couples? We have three kings and a queen. Little ones? Pack'n'Play Crib is ready to go.

No one else puts as much thought into the details of making the vacation experience a breeze for their renters as I do — much to the sometimes consternation of the owners (my parents and aunt/uncle).

The little touches and amenities thru-out the house are all oriented towards making your visit comfortable. Go ahead and try to use up all the hot water, toiletries, soaps/detergents/spices — bet you can't! &We are the only home in the area to change the hot tub water for each group.

You don't have to pay Aspen Extreme prices to spend a week in Aspen-Snowmass. Sure, you could rent one of the other homes on our street for almost twice as much, or save by renting a dilapidated shack down the hill for about the same price as ours — but you've lucked out and stumbled upon our killer big mountain view, so save those bucks for a new pair of ski boots and spend a minute reading our affordable tale.

A Snowmass Pioneer, my grandfather paid cash for a small plot of land at the end of a jeep road back in 1966 and built himself a cabin overlooking the future town of Snowmass Village. In the 1980s, concerned that those working in the valley were no longer able to afford to live in the valley, he dedicated the entirety of his retirement to organizing what is now the crown jewel of the Aspen/Snowmass community: the Affordable Employee Housing Program.

In 2005, with the roof leaking, the single-pane windows drafty, and the property taxes mounting on our grandfather's lucky strike, we sold the homestead and set our sights on a seldom-used, modern, comfortable home with a remarkable view just one ridge west.

In 2010, after five years of my family allowing a property management company to hawk our home at $800-$1200/night (and somehow still owing money at the end of the month), I decided to move out to the mountains and try my hand at it myself.

It turns out that cutting cutting out the commission, upgrading the amenities, and flashing a friendly smile works wonders — We now sell out each winter and summer season, pulling in just enough to ensure that this view will be enjoyed by my family (and yours) for generations to come.

Two year's ago we will be dug out the grass turf and revegetated with native plants, doing our part to keep the valley as it was in 1966 when my grandfather took a jeep ride in search of paradise.

Perfect For Large Group

We were 13 cyclists meeting up from all over the USA to bike the mountain roads around Aspen. The garage has bike racks for all of us. Also, several pumps and a repair stand. Everybody had a bed, and we didn't get i each other's way. The view from the 3 desk, and the hot tub, is a definite bonus. Easy access to the free bus system serving Aspen and Snowmass, and enough parking for our seven vehicles, too. Maroon Bells, Independence Pass; we even had two riders who did a one day loop through Leadville and Vail - 12 hours and 200+ miles of riding, then back home to rest and re-connect.

A Sweet Little Gem in Snowmass

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Cody is amazing and super responsive. The house/kitchen is stocked with all your basic and above average needs. The 3 king beds are a huge plus, all super comfy, and rooms spacious. Definitely worth staying here if you are visiting and coming with others and/or kids!

Convenient property- excellent accommodations!

We had 10 people, 6 adults and 4 teenagers. Very comfortable house. Up to date amenities and can’t say enough how accommodating Cody was. Parking passes were a huge hit at snowmass.

As Advertised

To start, we rent houses fairly often, and I've come to apply a fair amount of skepticism to houses that get consistent 5 star ratings and raving reviews, simply because I've been burned before. However, that was not the case with this house! I don't want to repeat what other reviewers have said, but I will point out a few things that stood out. First, Cody went way above and beyond any other owner that I have dealt with. We had a few minor issues and he more than took the time and effort to get them resolved. Second, the house was clean and exceptionally well stocked. Laundry detergent, fabric softener, paper towels, bath towels, shampoo, body wash, etc., etc. were all in unbelievably ample supply, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with cookware, silverware, utensils, etc. Now, to balance out my review a bit, there are some things that might not be appealing to everyone. First, the home is not new--If you usually stay in a cookie cutter condo and have come to expect same, that could be an issue. I, however, found it unique and charming. For example, though, the kitchen appliances are from the 1970s. They worked just fine, but if you are looking for a modern cook's kitchen, this isn't it. Second, it is not ski in, ski out. It is close (6-7 minutes) to Snowmass and also has easy access to Aspen, and there are plenty of shuttles so getting around was never a problem. We rented a Suburban and it would not fit in the garage, though a mid size SUV certainly would. Cody has a parking pass for Snowmass which came in handy but I do have a friendly tip. If you are the type that is OK carrying your skis and equipment every day, and putting your boots and gear on in your car, then Cody's recommended Lot 12 works like a charm. If you like someplace indoors to put on your gear, and you like storing it at the hill (if you are going to ski multiple days, etc.) you are much better off parking in Lot 5 and using the base or mall area as your staging spot. We left our boots and skis there and it worked out great, and they also can transfer your skis to one of the other 3 mountains, which also came in handy. At Cody's suggestion we were also able to save quite a bit of money on ski passes.

Great cozy homes with everything we needed. Very close to slopes and Cody was always available.

This Snowmass home was perfect! We had 10 people (3 couples and 4 single adults). Home was very clean upon arrival. Everything is well thought out - plenty of supplies for us such as toilet paper, paper towels, bathroom towels, etc. Even small details that were helpful such as every room having cell phone chargers (Apple and android), humidifiers in every room, games/cards, and plenty of blankets. Cody responded very quickly with any questions and was very helpful in getting us lift tickets. The drive to the house is easy and close to town and the slopes. Overall we had a blast and would definitely stay there again! Lastly, GREAT views.
