Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + 2 extra sleeping areas, 5 Baths, (Sleeps 5 - 14+)

** Call or txt (206) 275-4878 or Email before booking — I'll usually reply within an hour. Unless I'm sleeping. =)

Have Couples? 3 King beds + 1 Queen.

Ski group wanting single beds? We have 14.

We are the most booked house in the roaring fork valley because I work hard to make it a dang great place to stay.

For real, call or txt before booking to confirm we are going to be a cozy fit for your group. =)

Not slope side, but a much better value and nearly as convenient.

Our free parking pass gets you to within 50 feet of the snow after a 6-10 minute drive, or take the shuttle after short five minute walk.

Compared to a cramped condo, there is plenty of space and well built walls for everyone to spread out when you need some me time, yet our large dining and living room accommodates the whole group with a fire, a movie, or one of our ample board games and puzzles.

New for 2016 are three renovated bedrooms — the results are spectacular and I can't wait to get some new photos up. With reconfigurable bedrooms, we can now accommodate any type of group. Everyone wants their own? We have 10 real beds + several high-end inflatables. Couples? We have three kings and a queen. Little ones? Newish Pack'n'Play Crib is ready to go.

No one else puts as much thought into the details of making the vacation experience a breeze for their renters as I do — much to the sometimes consternation of the owners (my parents and aunt/uncle).

The little touches and amenities thru-out the house are all oriented towards making your visit comfortable. Go ahead and try to use up all the hot water, toiletries, soaps/detergents/spices — bet you can't! &We are the only home in the area to change the hot tub water for each group.

Give me a Call or txt (206) 275-4878 — it's much faster than emailing questions back and forth and I'll probably give you some great info on how to save a bit of cash on your visit even if we decide that our home isn't the best fit for you!

=== Affordable

You don't have to pay Aspen Extreme prices to spend a week in Aspen-Snowmass. Sure, you could rent one of the other homes on our street for almost twice as much, or save by renting a dilapidated shack down the hill for about the same price as ours — but you've lucked out and stumbled upon our killer big mountain view, so save those bucks for a new pair of ski boots and spend a minute reading our affordable tale.

A Snowmass Pioneer, my grandfather paid cash for a small plot of land at the end of a jeep road back in 1966 and built himself a cabin overlooking the future town of Snowmass Village. In the 1980s, concerned that those working in the valley were no longer able to afford to live in the valley, he dedicated the entirety of his retirement to organizing what is now the crown jewel of the Aspen/Snowmass community: the Affordable Employee Housing Program.

In 2005, with the roof leaking, the single-pane windows drafty, and the property taxes mounting on our grandfather's lucky strike, we sold the homestead and set our sights on a seldom-used, modern, comfortable home with a remarkable view just one ridge west.

In 2010, after five years of my family allowing a property management company to hawk our home at $800-$1200/night (and somehow still owing money at the end of the month), I decided to move out to the mountains and try my hand at it myself.

It turns out that cutting cutting out the commission, upgrading the amenities, and flashing a friendly smile works wonders — We now sell out each winter, pulling in just enough to ensure that this view will be enjoyed by my family (and yours) for generations to come.

Two year's ago we will be dug out the grass turf and revegetated with native plants, doing our part to keep the valley as it was in 1966 when my grandfather took a jeep ride in search of paradise.

I hope you are able to make it out this winter. Think snow, and I'll see you on the slopes!

Cycling Camp

  • 5 of 5

Snowmass/Aspen is a road/MTB cycling , trail running/hiking mecca . Foodie's will enjoy a plethora of dining options locally. But if your thing is to stay in , the house comes with everything you need. Ton's of wildlife spottings from fox, deer, to elk all enjoyed within the week. Would highly recommend it and would stay again.

Wonderful place in an amazing location with awesome views!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 stayed a week in Cody's home in Snowmass. Leading up to our visit Cody kept on close contact with me and was very accommodating. He was a pleasure to talk with and it was quite clear that he cared about our stay and making things as easy as possible for us.

His home is perfectly located close to snowmass village and a short ride to Aspen. The views are heavenly from each balcony. My wife and I loved waking up each morning and enjoying the amazing views. At night, the stars light up the sky and you can breathe in the awesome mountain air.

The house has carpet throughout which we actually enjoyed. The BBQ and jacuzzi were great for late night eating and relaxation. We also enjoyed playing some of the board games that are in the family room.

We have stayed in many properties over the years with VRBO and AirBnB and this home truly stands out as one of the best.

We could never ask for more and would love to return again sometime. It was a "10+" experience!

Incredible home at a great value!

  • 5 of 5

The home was perfect for our family trip. Cody was so accommodating and thorough- any questions we had he answered immediately! The house was so well stocked and perfect for our large group. The location couldn't have been better, either. I hope it's available next year for our next trip back to Aspen: we loved it!!

Snowmass getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house is very spacious and accommodating for a group of two families. They were out and about most of the day, so they did not spend a lot of time using the TV or hot tub or music, but those activities are all there. We would recommend this house for its location as well- beautiful views and convenient to the village center.

Large Group of Cyclists

  • 5 of 5

This house worked very well for our 13 cyclists converging from all parts of the country. A bike rack was in place to hang ALL of our bikes on the wall. The refrigerator was full, but kept things super cold. And everyone had a bed! Can't say enough about the quality of the scenery and biking for this group of roadies. Mountain biking is even more awesome, with trails right out the door. A bike stand helped for our repairs. Two washing machines and two dryers meant no one had stinky shorts during the stay.
