If you are looking for a charming farm house in the White Mountains close to shops, restaurants, attractions and has Saco River access with a 400 foot beach, look no further. We've created a home that you will make memories in. The views of the Moat and Chocorua Mountains are beautiful. The house welcomes you to sit out on the farmer's porch and 'sit a spell'. The house has been authentically restored to it's 1860's feel but has today's amenities giving you the best of both worlds. The updated kitchen is open to the family room which has a large wood burning fireplace and TV area. Each of the 3 bedrooms have their own TV's, gas fireplaces, AC's, sitting areas and private bath rooms which makes this house very appealing to a larger family or 3 couples or an in-law situation. The sitting room off of the 3rd bedroom, which had been a rooftop deck, has been enclosed and remodeled to include a pullout couch for extra sleeping, a gas fireplace, a Smart TV, a private deck and entrance and a coffee station with fabulous mountain views. In the summer, enjoy the Saco River which is walking distance from our house. You can rent canoes or kayaks from our neighbor, Saco Canoe Rental, and get picked up and dropped off right here at the beach. We think that you'll fall in love with this property as my husband and I did 16 years ago! Read the many reviews and then decide!

  • Bedroom one has a king size bed, sitting area, flat screen TV, private bath and a gas fireplace. Bedroom two has 2 twin beds (which can be converted to a king) sitting area, flat screen TV, private bath and a gas fireplace as well. Bedroom 3 has a king size bed and all of the amenities as bedrooms 1 and 2 but has a combo tub/shower in the private bath. Bedroom 1 and 2 have wide pine floors and bedroom 3 is carpeted. The sitting area in bedroom 3 has a large sitting room with a full size pullout couch and it's own private deck and entrance. This would make for a wonderful in-law setup or if you want extra privacy from the rest of your group. All bedrooms are air condioned as is the downstairs.

This house is perfect for 2 small families, 3 couples, a family with an au paire, or an in-law situation. Each bedroom has it's own private accommodations including a private bathroom and sitting area. One of the unique aspects of the house is that if you only need 2 bedrooms we can lock off the 3rd bedroom and charge you accordingly for the space that you are using. Bedroom 3 has a nice sitting room with a fireplace, TV, coffee maker and small refrigerator and deck with a private entrance. It also has breath taking views of the Moat and Chocorua Mts. It has a pullout couch so that you can have a child out in that space. We do have an air mattress if needed for an additional child. Every guests receives a welcome basket with goodies too!

Doesn't get much better than this!

We have rented this property numerous times. Linda and Jay are so welcoming and very quick to respond with questions. It is very hard to find a rental property for all adults that has all king size beds and separate bathrooms. It is one of a kind. My only wish is that the downstairs fireplace was gas so you could turn it on for short periods of time, like in the morning before skiing. The property is great for exploring and walking down to the river, snowshoeing, etc. We will be returning!

Awesome farmhouse

We have been staying at Linda and Jay’s farmhouse now for over 5 years! You can’t beat all the king beds and fireplaces in all the bedrooms! The Xmas decorations are just beautiful and the wood burning fireplace is great! The city of Conway is charming with a lot of cute shops and our kids love to ski and Cranmore mountain! Thanks again Linda and Jay for such a memorable stay!!

The perfect New England home

Linda and Jay should write the book on genuine hospitality. This is our 3rd year staying with them, and they consistently take care of everything for everyone in our family. From surprising the children with gift baskets, to preparing the fireplace, they make their their home feel like the ultimate getaway. Needless to say that everything is clean and orderly. The location is perfect for Outlet shopping getting to all of the best hikes. Having access to the river a short walk through the backyard field is a bonus. We love staying here and plan to keep coming back year after year.

This is a very comfortable place, well situated.

This is a fine place, very amenable to couples or families. The downstairs has a good, well stocked kitchen and good public areas. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, one with a large sitting area and outside access. Each is comfortably spacious. The grounds are very spacious altho a little close to the highway, but within walking distance to a good restaurant for breakfast. This a very child - friendly place, with lots of games and books and room to run around. All-in-all, a quite nice and comfortable place- we liked it!

When I look for rental properties I have a detailed list of criteria for accommodations and with the search engines available it is very simple to find them. Then of course there is price and availability and all the other filters that can be used to narrow the field. But, when all is said and done, it’s the customer reviews that matter most to me. This is why I chose the Old Farm House Inn. Dozens of 5 star ratings were reviewed and after staying there, I can say, well earned. The list of positives is lengthy and it’s all been said by others so I will just note that it’s a really nice home with lots of space and character. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. A great deck to sit on, with nice views and privacy and the location is very close to all the necessary stores and shopping outlets. Above all to me, the house was spotless. I mean CLEAN! Linda and Jay, the owners, are friendly, professional and fully accommodating. It was my pleasure to meet them and to stay in their home and if I have the opportunity to be in the White Mountains area again they will be getting a call from me to see if the Old farm House Inn is available.

About Linda

I am, by nature a person who likes to make others happy and relaxed. I also like to decorate and enjoy meeting new people. Together, with my husband's building and remodeling talents, I feel like we make a good team and provide a unique place for our guests. We are not your cookie cutter type of rental I can assure you. We've gone the extra mile so to speak to add touches that most other rentals don't as we both feel that you, the guest, will appreciate the time, effort and love put behind this fabulous, historical home. Not many other rentals I've seen do a full blown seasonal décor with snowmen in the winter, scarecrows in the fall and birds and flowers in the spring/summer. We do this as we feel that it reflects the thought, energy and love put behind this home and the care that we have for our guests total experience in the time that they're staying here.

Why Linda chose North Conway

My husband and I have always loved the White Mountains and knew that someday when our children grew up that we would move up here. When this house came on the market we knew that this would be the right place for us to start dreaming about what we'd do with it. It was built in the 1860's which is something that we really liked as we are into older homes. The backdrop of fields, woods and the Saco River were the icing on the cake. We had a vision of making this into a home with the charm of yesteryear and the amenities of today. We also feel that the location is perfect with the proximity of North Conway village, the many outlets and attractions and the Saco River.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The views, location to town, shops and restaurants, a welcome basket, each bedroom having their own bathroom, TV, fireplace and siting area and the seasonal decorations all contribute to the home's uniqueness I'd say.

I rented this home as an anniversary/birthtday getaway for my parents. From the moment I contacted the owner Linda, she was so nice and made me feel like this surprise would go off without a hitch, and it did.My parents lost their breath when they arrived at this beautiful Noth Conway country home from the moment they pulled in the driveway. The home is so inviting and is decorated so cute, all the rooms are very large and the house is impecably clean. We want to thank Linda for such a nice welcome basket and for her and Jay's hospitality.This is a beautiful house and property inside and out that provides all the comforts of home. It is in such a convinient location and only about 1-1.5 miles away from downtown North Conway. There is so much to do in the area. Thanks again, Linda and Jay for making my parents' NH getway so memorable. We will definately be back for future vacation stays. This vacation home gets 5 stars from us!

This 1860's, 'Currier and Ives' farm house has been recently remodeled into two warm and cozy attached homes. We have strived to keep the integrity of this period, antique, timber frame home in the decorating and the architecture.

We are located 1.5 miles from the village of North Conway. Story Land is 15 minutes north of us. Echo Lake and Diana's Baths are 10 mintues away for some picturesque swimming and hiking. Come stay with us and enjoy our 'peace of heaven'. We have a 400 foot beach, a fire pit, lawn and indoor games and so much more! This winter, enjoy snowshoeing from your door on 23 acres of woods and fields.

Other Activities: This is a great location as we are close to town but not in the center of it. We have restaurants,grocery stores, banks, a bakery, hairdresser, canoe and kyak rentals, and tennis courts within walking distance. We provide snowshoes and 26 + acres of open fields and wooded paths to enjoy a fun afternoon of outdoor exercise in the winter and beach on the Saco River within walking distance.

Golf: North Conway public golf course is just 5 minutes from us and is open to the public and has a very nice restaurant. It is next to the train station in North Conway.

Ski: Cranmore Mountain, which has been totally updated to accommodate young and old, beginners and pros, tubing, skiing, and a mountain coaster, is only 5 minutes from us! Attitash and King Pine are 20 minutes from us and Loon is 40 minutes away. King Pine is a great ski resort for young children and is family oriented. It has a skating rink, tubing and gentle slopes.
