The Owner purchased this house in 2009
We are two professional people on an extended sabbatical. We own this beautiful and modern home in Zion National Park located in Town of Springdale, Utah a walking distance to the magnificent Zion National Park. We spend the winter weeks sailing and the spring-summer-fall season managing our vacation home in Springdale. We deal directly with our guest for reservations, key exchange, cleaning, maintenance, and anything between.
Our home is located at the mouth of Zion National Park. You will be able to enjoy an amazing variety of activities which range from hiking, biking, river tubing, canyoneering, rock climbing, horse riding to visiting art galleries, attending live theater productions or dining in fabulous restaurants.
Zion is a park for all seasons. Summers are warm with low humidity. Autumn is magnificent with its colors. Winters are mild with average daytime temperatures in the 50s to 60s.
No matter what the season is, the Zion National Park area is scenically beautiful. In the summertime, the red rock of the canyon walls almost seems to glow from the heat. In the wintertime, there seems to be crispness in the colors of the area that result in excellent photographs.
Springdale has been named by Forbes Traveler among one of the 20 'prettiest towns' in the United States in 2008. It is also one of fastest growing tourist destinations in the United States, with over 3 million people visiting Zion National Park each year. In 2015, 3,662,220 people visited the park, Photographers flock to the area year round to capture the beauty of the area.
This house is an absolute dream. It has an impossibly beautiful view and is in a conveint location where shops and restaurants are in walking distance. There are a bunch of nicely decorated rooms and comfortable beds to make any group of people enjoy the stay. This wonderful house is packed with the necessities such as cookware and dishes, two refridgerators, board games, books, movies and walking sticks. While laying on the front yard hammock and admiring the view, everyone will have a memorable time at this Zion Vacation Home.
We were so lucky that this rental had an opening that exactly matched our week of adventuring Zion NP the end of Sept. We were five adult males, old friends now coming from all over the country to do some technical climbing and canyoneering in Zion. We each had our own private bedroom, plus one to spare. :) We cooked all our breakfasts and most dinners at home, including a bbq on the patio. The large Sol Foods market is just a minute up the street, plus two good restaurants on the same corner, and the shuttle bus stop is a block away. The kitchen has all the appliances you could need, and the large home is beautifully furnished. The canyon wall views are amazing, especially at dawn and sunset. Owner Barbara lives close-by and she was most hospitable and helpful. Hope to return some day, as Zion has so much to offer and this house is the perfect home.
Put this on your list of places you must go!! The place was amazing and the location could not be better.Even when it''s really hot there is sanctuary in the deep walls of the canyon . We would to again and again.!!
The other reviews give you the good details about the house so I won't repeat them. Their praise is deserved. However the location is so convenient and you need your car for nothing. You can walk, ride the tram, go to a cafe. In the end it means you can be absorbed by Zion without distraction. A great family place for all those reasons.
Our group of 11 included 3 generations, ages 10 to 70. We started putting a western trip together a year before our departure. The senior members of the group had been to Springdale 12 years ago and knew the area. Our plan was to hike into the Grand Canyon and then come to Springdale to visit Zion and Bryce. We knew that for the end of our trip we needed lodging that would suit the kids and the adults of our family. The Zion Vacation Home couldn't have been a better fit, with bedrooms for all, space to spread out, space to relax, and room for all to eat. The location was near the shuttle, which we used, near restaurants and gift shops. The market at the corner provided us with staples and with snack and dinner options. The entire house was beautifully decorated and yet gave a very homey feeling. Appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker) made our stay easy. Add to that the views of the mountains' red rocks, the bats and lizards who scooped up the insects, the hummingbirds who fought for the feeders, and our stay was complete.
Thank you for your quick response to questions and for the use of your beautiful home.
We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The house is large with a nice patio and enclosed yard. Very private, but also walking distance into town. Restaurants and shops are close by, along with the shuttle that takes you into Zion National Park. The house is very clean and well kept. There were six of us with plenty of room. The BBQ is a nice touch with the great views outside. The house also came with some walking sticks which are great for hiking in Zion, especially in the Narrows.
Everything about this house was perfect. We had 3 adults and 3 kids stay for 3 nights, and I wish we could have moved this house to every location we stayed at. The beds were comfortable, clean, and had super soft sheets on them. The home is obviously very well maintained as I didn't see a speck of dirt anywhere.
The owner was very quick to respond to email. She also gave us a quick tour when we arrived, and she provided us with information about hikes at Zion National Park, as well as recommendations of restaurants to eat at in town. There is a restaurant called Meme's Cafe that is a short walk away that was extremely good.
The house is located very close to a shuttle bus stop to take you to Zion National Park. That was a welcome reprieve from having to drive, since we had driven from the Las Vegas Airport and had many more miles scheduled in future days of our trip.
Thank you, Barbara, for all your help and for providing a restful place for my family after a long day of hiking!
