Arbor Bench is a private family vineyard. Located on approximately 100 acres in the heart of Healdsburg's Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County California, this premium location offers the perfect wine country experience. Included is your charming and private lake in addition to the home's many comforts. The main house, directly adjacent to our grapevines, is an open plan filled with natural light and comforts. The home's great room with cathedral ceilings and open beams offers a 'wall of windows' view of the vineyards, a cozy wood burning fireplace , great vintage jukebox filled with 'oldies but goodies' tugging at you to get up and dance. The gourmet kitchen with open bar counter dividing it from the great area offers everything necessary to please the most discriminating cook. A private dining room, with seating for 12, opens onto the great room and to the porch overlooking the front garden and kids play area. Hot tub located on patio overlooking our vineyards.
Enjoy the gardens surrounding the house, the stone paved shaded patio perfect for outdoor cooking and dining. Kids will enjoy the fenced garden area and playhouse set within the many flowers from which you are welcome to make your own flower arrangements. On our adjacent parcel, just across from main house and high up overlooking the valley, you'll enjoy our private lake and daytime lake house over many hours of just 'hanging out', swimming, outdoor cooking, your favorite local wine at sunset overlooking the lake, and endless lazy hours of just sun tanning and 'floating' on the lake. The lake house is a one room, screened hide-away with decks and a sand beach. Take a dive from the floating dock into our fresh water artesian spring fed lake. Catch fish and cook them on the gas grill or just release them back into the lake to grow larger for the next 'hook'. You'll find you'll want to spend more time at the lake than just about anywhere else. It's a mostly year round spot to enjoy, even in winter it has it's charm. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CONDITIONED STRUCTURE, WE HAVE ELECTRICITY AND LIGHTS, NO KITCHEN. THERE ARE TWO PORTA POTTIES ADJACENT TO POND HOUSE WHICH ARE SERVICED BI-MONTHLY.
Master bedroom has private bath, fireplace, and queen size bed. Two guest rooms share a divided bath. Both have queen size beds and one with both queen bed and Trundle bed which sleeps 2.
This is a private working vineyard. We produce our private label of Arbor Bench wines exclusively with grapes from our vineyards. Normally you will not experience any vineyard 'operations', however your visit may coincide with times when vines are being pruned or during the grape harvest. We will let you know at time of your inquiry if any such activities will likely occur during your stay. In no way should any of these farming activities interfere with your privacy or enjoyment.
Arbor Bench is a rare find, perfect for adult only or family holidays and vacations with rustic elegance and a magical and enchanting setting. We are happy to assist you with special needs that would make your stay even more perfect. Stay with us at Arbor Bench Vineyard and enjoy what nature has created for you to appreciate.

Our group of old college friends stayed here for our friend's wedding weekend. Renting a house is such a better experience than a bunch of hotel rooms - seriously, there's no comparison. Arbor Bench is a great house for this (or any other) purpose. It's private, quiet, and very well-appointed. We never did make it to the pond, but if I were here with kids, I'd be all over it. I highly recommend this property!
We stayed here the weekend before a friend's wedding. The space was beautiful and accommodated the 8 of us easily and comfortably. The lake house was private, quiet and generally awesome. Great experience from beginning to end!
Great location for anyone interested in doing a bike tour through Sonoma wine country. There are a ton of vineyards within biking distance of the home. We stayed in the house for five nights while attending my sister's wedding. The house itself was nice, clean, etc. however we did have an unexpected visitor during our stay. Without warning, the owner of the home walked into the house and back into the bedroom where my 2 year old daughter was taking a nap. After rummaging through the house and waking up my daughter, the owner of the home just said "sorry" and left the premise. It was very awkward and extremely frustrating. My 2 year old daughter was a flower girl in the wedding. Anyone who has children will understand how important keeping to a schedule is for a 2 year old who is expected to "perform." So, having the owner of the house interrupt her nap without warning or even asking if it was ok to proceed back to the bedroom was very unprofessional when tenants are paying to rent the home. For that reason alone, I don't think I would ever stay at this house again. Sonny (the person I booked the rental through), however, was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. We were there during harvest and Sonny politely gave us a heads up prior to our arrival that workers would be on site harvesting grapes. We greatly appreciate his advance notice and professionalism. Thanks, Sonny!
This house was the perfect spot for our 3 couple celebration in honor of my husbands 50th birthday. I rent from VRBO several times a year and I can tell you , without any reservation , this was a wonderful experience. Sonny is responsive in communicating. he is very well seasoned at renting and has all the amenities needed for comfortable stay..... plenty of paper products, lots of spices etc....the views are breathtaking! We enjoyed coffee on the porch and wine and appetizers at the pond house. We fished and caught lots of little bass,we threw them back of course! We even had a chef come in one night and she made us a fabulous dinner. After a long day of wine tasting it was a nice treat!!
The beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels! The instructions for using the appliances etc in the house were easily accessible and clear. We loved the juke box and the ipod dock station. This allowed for many different types of tunes and dancing of course!!
There was also a nice surprise waiting for us when we arrived........let's just say the Arbor Bench vineyard produces some very nice wine!
Thank you Sonny. You treated us like royalty and quite the host . My only hesitation in leaving this post is that you will be booked the next time we want to return. Thank you again!
The group from Phoenix.
We stayed here for four days and were amazed that a real working vineyard was just a few steps outside the door! Sonny and everyone else we talked to were friendly and helpful. The house was a perfect space for the seven of us, but the real gem of the property was the pond retreat. We spent a couple of evenings there grilling out and relaxing underneath a beautiful starry sky...it was magical. The Dry Creek area is quite scenic with lots of great vineyards, and it's not as busy and commercialized as Napa Valley. A convenient distance away, the town of Healdsburg has a cool town square with restaurants and tasting rooms, but we enjoyed the property so much we didn't spend as much time in town. We would definitely stay here again - it was a wine country getaway we will never forget.
Stayed at Arbor Bench for three nights and wish it would have been more. The house is very well located close to vineyards, and fully equipped. We were two families with 4 kids in overall (ages 10 -7). The kids loved the patios, the jukebox, and just walking through the vineyard was a once in a lifetime experience. We had a blast on the lake house, it was so hot in the afternoons that all we could think of was getting to the lake house and enjoying the lake. Definitely recommend it and stay again on our next visit.
