With dreamy views overlooking cobblestoned streets, this beautiful, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse is the ideal base for short or long stays in Buenos Aires. Situated in the heart of Palermo Soho between Plaza Serrano and Plaza Armenia, the location simply could not be better!

The apartment complex is an architectural landmark that combines convenience, style and wonderful open spaces. Surrounded by boutiques and cafés, it reclines on a leafy street and is designed to let light pour in from every direction. A central court provides elevator access to the apartment. Further back, a tranquil garden and in-ground swimming pool rest behind ivy-covered walls. A live-in doorman provides excellent building security.

The penthouse is very bright and comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in an abundance of natural light and fresh air. The decor features antique, rustic and modern furnishings that are representative of Argentina and several paintings by a local artist. Surfaces are finished in clean, natural materials.

The apartment covers over 1000 sq. ft (100 sq. m). Two en-suite bedrooms are situated on opposite ends to give privacy. In between you will find living, dining, and study areas, an open-plan kitchen, access to a covered balcony and an interior stairwell to the private terrace. It is the perfect floor plan for families with children, couples travelling together and anyone who loves socializing. As a testament to its comfort and functionality, the apartment is often rented for weeks at a time and has several repeat guests who consider it their ‘home-away-from-home’.

The living room features a spacious sofa, HDTV with extensive cable package (BBC, CNN, Fox etc.) and a wood-burning fireplace. The dining table has seating for six and a wonderful view. The study area includes a 3-metre work desk and berths for two people, a printer, fax, local phone and Vonage international phones. The international phone has a +1 country code that allows incoming and outgoing calls as if you were located in North America.

The master bedroom includes a King bed with the same mattress set used in top hotels, a HDTV, sheer and blackout curtains and silent hot/ cold air conditioning. Its bathroom has plenty of counter space, a cupboard, toilet, bidet and standard bath/ shower. The second bedroom has two separate Twin beds that can be configured as a Queen with deluxe pillowtop cover. Its bathroom features a toilet and sumptuous marble shower with rainhead and skylight. A baby cot is available upon request.

The kitchen is equipped with gas and electric stove, a convection oven, microwave and has numerous appliances tucked away. High quality stainless steel pots and pans will please the travelling chef, and a Nespresso coffee machine will keep all coffee lovers happy.

This apartment is often rented for its impeccable location; however, its pièce de résistance is the private rooftop terrace that provides stunning panoramic views of the Palermo Soho skyline. It is perfect for sunbathing, crowd gazing and has a large charcoal parrilla (grill) for preparing a traditional asado (BBQ). What more could you want?

A spectacular apartment, great location & a perfect getaway

I spent 30 days in this apartment in April and May, 2018 and enjoyed it immensely. It's a terrific apartment in the very best of locations!

First off, let me say that the absent owner, David, and the property manager, Melanie from Friendly rentals, were very responsive and easy to deal with from beginning to end. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and my damage deposit was timely refunded. During my visit, I locked myself out of the apartment one day and Melanie, who lives nearby, was there in minutes to let me in.

I have stayed in rental apartments in Buenos Aires many times, mostly in Recoleta, as I have been coming in April of every year since I retired in 2011 and and I visited several times before then. Palermo Soho is by far the most enjoyable neighborhood I've stayed in. No more stays in Recoleta or San Telmo for me!

The building is very secure and there is easy access to the apartment by elevator. It is simply lovely, with very comfortable bedrooms, with baths, on opposite sides of the apartment. It is very nicely furnished, with excellent WIFI and a television with a wide range of things to watch in English or Spanish I know, and probably other languages.

You are only about 2 blocks to Plaza Serano and Plaza Armenia. Within walking distance, there are literally dozens of bars and restaurants with both indoor and outdoor drinking and dining. There is a wide variety of types of restaurants in the neighborhood in different price ranges. The well known and highly rated Don Julio steakhouse is 4 blocks away. The popular Cabrera steakhouses are a few blocks in another direction. There are Italian restaurants, pizza places, Mexican, Chinese and Armenian restaurants, burger joints, Fish & chips, most anything else you can think of, and numerous ice cream shops. Upscale shopping is available in Palermo Soho with many stores and boutiques closeby. The treelined streets make it a joy to walk in the neighborhood. There are supermarkets 5-6 blocks away, if you are going to be cooking at the apartment. In fact , there is a parilla on the roof top, where can grill your own meats.

I would stay at David's apartment again without hesitation and am happy to recommend it highly and without reservation.

The sunsets

The apartment was perfect, central, spacious and cozy. The best was taking a glass of wine up on the terrace and watching the sunset. Every night was different with spectacular colour all from our table with the smell of the parillas being prepared for evening meal.

Comfortable apartment in the heart of Palermo

Nicely decorated apartment in a lively area of Palermo. Close to many wonderful spots to eat. Friendly rentals was easy to work with and attentive to our questions. Helpful in arranging airport transfers and a luggage hold. Beds and baths were comfortable. A bit of street noise but for the most part the air conditioning made it not noticeable. The pool area was not very welcoming.

We would be happy to return.

This was a lovely place with plenty of space for the four of us. The location was perfect, but a little noisy at night especially on the weekend. The management company was very helpful during our stay.
