Photos and Description of this Gardiner holiday cabin

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

There is nothing quite like a blue ribbon trout river just outside your front door. The cabin is positioned along the west side of the Yellowstone River. This is a great place to stay when touring Yellowstone National Park. The Gardiner North Entrance (4 miles away) is the only year round entry into the most visited National Park in the United States.

Within a ten minute drive you will arrive in Mammoth Hot Springs and see for yourself all the wonders Yellowstone Park has to offer.

The cabin features a full kitchen with all dishes and utensils provided. Both Master Suites have 1 queen and 1 oversized full bed, also each suite has its own full bath. Just outside the spacious patio you will find a large fire pit with plenty of seating for all your friends and family. You will love the stunning views and relaxing atmosphere we have to offer.

About Marty Haskins

My name is Marty Haskins. In the picture is my father-in-law Frank Kroll. We purchased the cabin in November of 2005 along with my wife Kelly and Frank's wife Debbie. We bought the property thinking of how great it would be to have a 'getaway' that is riverfront, park-front, and forest service-front. We have been blessed to find out the demand for housing near Yellowstone Park. We only thought we would rent out about 6 weeks a year and now are renting the whole summer. We spend a lot of time at the cabin in the spring and fall. The picture you see is the fire pit about 10 yards from our back door. As you can see I like a big campfire.

Why Marty Haskins chose Yellowstone

Gardiner is a very special place in Montana and it just happens to be the only year round entrance into the park. This location is ideal for a vacation in the Park. For me it is ideal for fishing the mighty Yellowstone River. I have been vacationing in Yellowstone since I was a young boy. I grew up in rural North Dakota and had an Aunt and Uncle who lived in Billings, MT. They had two boys my age so my brother and I would come to Montana in the summer for two weeks and they would take us to the Park. Thanks to my Aunt and Uncle I now live in Bozeman, I met my beautiful wife in Billings and I now own a cabin bordering Yellowstone Park.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is surrounded by National Park Land, Forest Service Land, and the Yellowstone River. Best of all it is only 300 yards from the park, yet 4 miles from the entrance and the town of Gardiner. You get a secluded base camp from the park that is only minutes away. Our favorite thing to do is sit around the campfire at night while Debbie makes peach cobbler in the dutch oven.

Delightful, by the river

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, quiet place to wildlife watch. We enjoyed watching the Elk cross the river in the evening and close enough to the park for daily trips in.

It was a bit chilly and rainy to enjoy the porch for a lengthy time...but I could see myself sitting outside in better weather-with my morning coffee.

Thank you for a lovely stay.

There is no such thing as a bad day in Yellowstone!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Yellowstone and it was great having a comfortable well equipped cabin to come home to. Everything you need is there, pots and pans, dishes, crock pot and wine glasses. A herd of Elk greeted us at arrival which we loved. Upon departure a herd of big horn sheep were across the road. I know a couple people mentioned the road was rough. We found it to be a decent gravel road. Marty was very helpful in responding to questions about the river closing and it's reopening which was great we did get to fly fish! All in all super. We decided we want to visit Yellowstone in every season. We shall return. 😊

Perfect Yellowstone cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great stay! The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed for the park. We really appreciated the cooler. We saw elk and antelope right outside the front door. The cable and wifi worked well. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything!

It was our (3 elderly fishermen) second year in a row at the cabin and we will be back.

Not really much to say other than the cabin is well equipped, clean and very conveniently located. It is quiet. The wildlife visitors (elk and rabbits at the back door) are friendly and numerous. The short drive into Gardiner and Yellowstone is most enjoyable and never fails to provide new wildlife adventures with elk and pronghorns. A bald eagle cruises up and down the Yellowstone River on a regular basis, and other birdlife abounds. Two bathrooms make it very convenient for older gentlemen who tend to spend a great deal of time therein. Great reading material and wifi. All in all, it is one very nice spot. Plus, Marty is one very accommodating and responsive owner. We shall return in the future.

Vacation in Yellowstone

  • 4 of 5

Loved the area, cabin was beautiful and had everything you needed. We left quite a bit of food and condiments. The gravel road was hard on our car coming in to the place, but after that driving was quite nice. Had to pay for a stain on a quilt that we dont think we did, but who knows. Enjoyed the week very much, Thank You Mark Perrin
