About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6+, Nice Kitchen, Covered Deck, Amazing Mountain Views

Yellowstone Cabin Rental On Private Acreage Five Miles From The Park's North Gate And Best Wildlife Watching And Cutthroat Trout Fishing!

Charming cabin built in 2009 with two bedrooms that sleeps 5-8 located just five minutes from Yellowstone Park's North Entrance on 26 acres of private property. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the famous Northern Range and Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer, wolves, bears, AND fishing for world-famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout!

This beautiful cabin is unlike all other vacation rental properties in the area. Lying in an extremely private location just above Highway 89 north of Gardiner, Montana, and the Roosevelt Arch, the cabin is easily accessed by a well-maintained, short, 300 yard-long Private Drive.

This setting provides you with total solitude and isolation from any hustle and bustle of the busy roadways leading to/from the park. However, at the same time, when needed, you are just minutes away from restaurants, the market, and shops in Gardiner or a bit further away in Livingston and Bozeman.

Built on a log frame, this cabin has all modern amenities yet has a great amount of rustic appeal including beautiful hardwood floors. It has enormous windows giving you unmatched views of Yellowstone's Electric Peak, Devil's Slide, Dome Mountain, and many other spectacular geological features. Wildlife abound here and deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, or bison are seen on the meadows and mountain slopes near the cabin. Often during the spring and fall, they are standing right in the cabin's yard. No-where else in the northern Rockies will you find wildlife this abundant and close in a natural setting.

Horses graze nearby, and the Yellowstone River, home to world-class trout fishing, leaves the park and passes just a few hundred yards below you.

There are many access sites to the Yellowstone River very near to the cabin, one within easy walking distance (that is a very great fishing spot...just ask our boys!).

Being near Gardiner, our cabin is at the home of the Yellowstone Association, a long-standing educational institute offering numerous courses in the park. The Electric Peak Cabin is a perfect place to stay when visiting and attending these courses.

About Todd Koel

Why Todd Koel chose Yellowstone

We have built this cabin here because Yellowstone Park is the greatest place on the face of the planet. We want to provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and share in the Yellowstone experience.

The Yellowstone River and great fishing are within walking distance of the cabin door. Also the Yellowstone Association and all its educational opportunities are found right near our place at Gardiner.

This is our home and we love it. Come on out here and stay for awhile!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We visited Yellowstone for one week on our 6-month journey from the Netherlands. We had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately many of the roads in Yellowstone were still closed, however we visited Mammoth Hot Springs, Lamar Valley, and Tower Falls. We went swimming in the Boiling River (recommended!)and we saw lots and lots of wildlife: hundreds of bison and elk, pronghorn, deer, coyotes, bighorn sheep. We missed out on the bears. We also enjoyed the wildlife around the cabin.

Thanks alot for everything, and to you Justin, Aaron, Ryan, and Tyler for letting us use your bikes!!

Thursday we are leaving for West Glacier (thanks Tod for the route info). A few months in Canada before going back home in July.

PERFECT PLACE - IT COULD NOT BE BETTER

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is great inside-outside (with the front porch what's the best place for a drink). It's very cosy, stylish with unique wood furniture. It has everything you need including the very well equipped kitchen. The view is amazing, its location just perfect, close to the park and all the shops and restaurants, but it gives you privacy (so quiet and peaceful). It can't be compared to a hotel room. We enjoyed our stay, had a wonderful time. Thanks Todd.

what a great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary. The cabin was everything and more than we expected. The cabin was awesome with spedtacluar views of electric peak. This is a great place to come back to and relax after spending our days exploring Yellowstone. We also loved waking up to the deer feeding in the yard each morning. We can't thank you enough Todd!!

Awesome Cabin with Spectacular Views

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our family. It was cozy, clean and very convenient to Yellowstone. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the front porch was an awesome place to hang out and enjoy the spectacular views. Our kids really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife near the cabin. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly as advertised! Clean, comfortable, convenient and the location is quiet (road noise is minimal). Lots of thoughtful touches - like fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils and even a can opener) and wifi (the password is on a post-it on the TV). Yellowstone is a short drive of 5 miles (and the speed limit is 70mph).

Perfect.

  • 5 of 5

Great location which gives you peace and quiet but is conveniently located close to Yellowstone national park and several fishing access points along the Yellowstone River. The cabin has a great view of electric peak and the surrounding mountains along with various wildlife that can be seen from the living room on the comfort of the couch. The cabin features all common amenities minus a washer and dryer. I will definitely be visiting Yellowstone once more and the trip will revolve around when this cabin is available.

Stellar!!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was wonderful! The cabin is so lovely and cozy. The gorgeous mountain views and wildlife passing through right out the windows never stopped giving us moments to stop and gasp. Todd was so welcoming and accommodating. It was a truly beautiful place to be, in a stellar location, and we'd happily stay there again!
