About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6+, Nice Kitchen, Covered Deck, Amazing Mountain Views

Yellowstone Cabin Rental On Private Acreage Five Miles From The Park's North Gate And Best Wildlife Watching And Cutthroat Trout Fishing!

Charming cabin built in 2009 with two bedrooms that sleeps 5-8 located just five minutes from Yellowstone Park's North Entrance on 26 acres of private property. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the famous Northern Range and Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer, wolves, bears, AND fishing for world-famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout!

This beautiful cabin is unlike all other vacation rental properties in the area. Lying in an extremely private location just above Highway 89 north of Gardiner, Montana, and the Roosevelt Arch, the cabin is easily accessed by a well-maintained, short, 300 yard-long Private Drive.

This setting provides you with total solitude and isolation from any hustle and bustle of the busy roadways leading to/from the park. However, at the same time, when needed, you are just minutes away from restaurants, the market, and shops in Gardiner or a bit further away in Livingston and Bozeman.

Built on a log frame, this cabin has all modern amenities yet has a great amount of rustic appeal including beautiful hardwood floors. It has enormous windows giving you unmatched views of Yellowstone's Electric Peak, Devil's Slide, Dome Mountain, and many other spectacular geological features. Wildlife abound here and deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, or bison are seen on the meadows and mountain slopes near the cabin. Often during the spring and fall, they are standing right in the cabin's yard. No-where else in the northern Rockies will you find wildlife this abundant and close in a natural setting.

Horses graze nearby, and the Yellowstone River, home to world-class trout fishing, leaves the park and passes just a few hundred yards below you.

There are many access sites to the Yellowstone River very near to the cabin, one within easy walking distance (that is a very great fishing spot...just ask our boys!).

Being near Gardiner, our cabin is at the home of the Yellowstone Association, a long-standing educational institute offering numerous courses in the park. The Electric Peak Cabin is a perfect place to stay when visiting and attending these courses.

About Todd Koel

We are a family of six including four young boys who love the Greater Yellowstone Area.

Why Todd Koel chose Gardiner

We have built this cabin here because Yellowstone Park is the greatest place on the face of the planet. We want to provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and share in the Yellowstone experience.

The Yellowstone River and great fishing are within walking distance of the cabin door. Also the Yellowstone Association and all its educational opportunities are found right near our place at Gardiner.

This is our home and we love it. Come on out here and stay for awhile!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We visited Yellowstone for one week on our 6-month journey from the Netherlands. We had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately many of the roads in Yellowstone were still closed, however we visited Mammoth Hot Springs, Lamar Valley, and Tower Falls. We went swimming in the Boiling River (recommended!)and we saw lots and lots of wildlife: hundreds of bison and elk, pronghorn, deer, coyotes, bighorn sheep. We missed out on the bears. We also enjoyed the wildlife around the cabin.

Thanks alot for everything, and to you Justin, Aaron, Ryan, and Tyler for letting us use your bikes!!

Thursday we are leaving for West Glacier (thanks Tod for the route info). A few months in Canada before going back home in July.

Perfect place for our amazing vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin in every way. The views were incredible, the house was fully stocked and the neighborhood was quiet and calm. We spent part of every day in Yellowstone and were able to enjoy the trails in Paradise Valley as well. We'll be back soon!

Wonderful

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful view of the mountains! could see deer, elk and a possible bobcat from the window. Out door fire pit in the winter was a big hit with the visiting Arizona family.

Close enough to YNP and far enough away from the busy areas.

Will definitely stay again

Amazing experience!

  • 5 of 5

With beautiful views and wildlife galore, this was an indescribable experience! The cabin was stocked with what we needed, and was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was in touch and answered any questions we had. We have never seen wildlife like we did from the cabin alone. The mountain views rendered us speechless. We loved our time here!

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We were happy with our 3 night stay. The cabin had everything we needed and was super close to the north entrance of the park. Gardiner has everything you may need. The stars at night were our favorite part, clear beautiful views! We would stay again if we go back to Yellowstone, which we plan on in the future. Thanks again Todd!

Beautiful location, clean well supplied.

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. I was very impressed by how well stocked the cabin is. Pretty much all the equipment needed to cook and some basic foodstuffs. The Paradise Valley is lovely and in full view from the front porch. Quite close to Gardiner and Yellowstone entrance but also private. Lots of resources for observing wildlife, including the 50 elk across the road on most days. We had car trouble and ended up spending more time at the cabin and hiking locally and enjoyed it all.
