Yellowstone Cabin Rental On Private Acreage Five Miles From The Park's North Gate And Best Wildlife Watching And Cutthroat Trout Fishing!

Charming cabin built in 2009 with two bedrooms that sleeps 5-8 located just five minutes from Yellowstone Park's North Entrance on 26 acres of private property. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to the famous Northern Range and Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer, wolves, bears, AND fishing for world-famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout!

This beautiful cabin is unlike all other vacation rental properties in the area. Lying in an extremely private location just above Highway 89 north of Gardiner, Montana, and the Roosevelt Arch, the cabin is easily accessed by a well-maintained, short, 300 yard-long Private Drive.

This setting provides you with total solitude and isolation from any hustle and bustle of the busy roadways leading to/from the park. However, at the same time, when needed, you are just minutes away from restaurants, the market, and shops in Gardiner or a bit further away in Livingston and Bozeman.

Built on a log frame, this cabin has all modern amenities yet has a great amount of rustic appeal including beautiful hardwood floors. It has enormous windows giving you unmatched views of Yellowstone's Electric Peak, Devil's Slide, Dome Mountain, and many other spectacular geological features. Wildlife abound here and deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, or bison are seen on the meadows and mountain slopes near the cabin. Often during the spring and fall, they are standing right in the cabin's yard. No-where else in the northern Rockies will you find wildlife this abundant and close in a natural setting.

Horses graze nearby, and the Yellowstone River, home to world-class trout fishing, leaves the park and passes just a few hundred yards below you.

There are many access sites to the Yellowstone River very near to the cabin, one within easy walking distance (that is a very great fishing spot...just ask our boys!).

Being near Gardiner, our cabin is at the home of the Yellowstone Association, a long-standing educational institute offering numerous courses in the park. The Electric Peak Cabin is a perfect place to stay when visiting and attending these courses.

About Todd Koel

Why Todd Koel chose Yellowstone

We have built this cabin here because Yellowstone Park is the greatest place on the face of the planet. We want to provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and share in the Yellowstone experience.

The Yellowstone River and great fishing are within walking distance of the cabin door. Also the Yellowstone Association and all its educational opportunities are found right near our place at Gardiner.

This is our home and we love it. Come on out here and stay for awhile!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We visited Yellowstone for one week on our 6-month journey from the Netherlands. We had a very pleasant stay. Unfortunately many of the roads in Yellowstone were still closed, however we visited Mammoth Hot Springs, Lamar Valley, and Tower Falls. We went swimming in the Boiling River (recommended!)and we saw lots and lots of wildlife: hundreds of bison and elk, pronghorn, deer, coyotes, bighorn sheep. We missed out on the bears. We also enjoyed the wildlife around the cabin.

Thanks alot for everything, and to you Justin, Aaron, Ryan, and Tyler for letting us use your bikes!!

Thursday we are leaving for West Glacier (thanks Tod for the route info). A few months in Canada before going back home in July.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

If u are looking for a quite, well kept place to stay while visiting Yellowstone, look no further, give Todd a call. This place was perfect for us. Me and my wife, along with her best friend and husband stayed here for a week. We had a great time, we spent everyday exploring Yellowstone. We seen all kinds of wildlife, including 7 bears with 2 grizzlies. We also got to do some fishing in the park and caught a lot of Yellowstone cutthroat trout, Thanks to Todd (owner of the cabin), told us about a little honey hole that was full of trout in the Lamar river. I would recommend this property to friends and family. Thanks again Todd!

LOVED Electric Peak Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was lovely! First class furnishings, artwork, pots and pans and view. The beds and pillows were the best we experienced in a cabin/hotel ever! The cabin was clean and very well maintained. Todd was a great host.

Perfect landing spot for exploring Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved renting this cabin. It's super close to Yellowstone ! But, just enough out of the way to get a feel of living in some of the beautiful mountains of Montana. Breathtaking views from the front porch. We stayed here with our three boys ages 12,10 and 8. They loved feeding the horse named soldier that is corralled on the property. Would love to come back here some day.

This place is very convenient for the people who are going to explore the Yellowstone National Park. It is few miles away from the north entrance of the park. Wonderful sceneries around the cabin make feel so relaxing.

Next time,we will go there again.

Electric Peak Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cabin for our Yellowstone trip for our family of 4. When we arrived we were very pleased with the location, it was quiet and overlooked an open area where there was always elk and other wildlife present. The cabin itself is an absolute gem. The cabin was perfect and it was beautiful outside and inside. It was close to Gardiner, less than a 5 minute drive to all the restaurants, grocery, gift shops and the North entrance of the Yellowstone. This cabin fit our family wonderfully, with a queen bed and a bunk bed that was one of the neatest I have seen. If you are looking for accommodations that are first class, a view that words can't explain, close to town but still in a quiet part of the country side this cabin is perfect. It doesn't have any laundry but we just hit the local laundry mat. We are planning on returning to do another trip to this area and this will be our first choice for accommodations and would recommend this cabin to anyone. Plus Soldier the horse was always a great welcome home after a long day!

Phenomenal!!

  • 5 of 5

Family of 7 stayed for three nights. What a great cabin and a perfect location! We loved doing bonfires at night after long days in Yellowstone. My kids loved Soldier, the horse and enjoyed feeding him apples and carrots. We would definitely come to Electric Peak again. It was a great home base for all the activities we enjoyed in the area! I would highly recommend this place!
