But hold up just a moment before you do, there are two important pieces of information we need so we can respond to your request to stay with Classy Cabins AZ:

1) The dates you want to stay. Please, check the availability calendar for the cabin or cabins you are interested in, and make sure they appear available on the calendar.

2) How many are in your party. We need an accurate count of adults and children who will be traveling so we can provide the proper accommodations, and plan properly for towels, linens, and supplies.

We are sorry, but this beautiful cabin cannot accommodate weddings.

Wonderful Family Cabin near Grand Canyon

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a perfect place for our family vacation to the Grand Canyon area! Amy and Steve were accommodating and helpful when we booked the Raccoon Ranch. We had two families with 4 children under 10 and the cabin and the surrounding land were a great setting for their adventures. The owners were responsive and so kind(even we accidently locked ourselves out). Thanks for providing such a great space for our family to make precious memories!

Grand Canyon Vacation Stay

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at our cabin in the woods late afternoon and found it to be charming and welcoming. We got a little turned around finding the cabin, the turn at the T and over the railroad tracks kinda threw us for a loop. Once we got there, it was easy to navigate into Williams, Bearzona, and Flagstaff. The cabin was small, but very cozy. It easily accommodated the 6 of us (all adults) We never felt crowded or closed in. The time we spent at the cabin was either sleeping or sitting outside on the porch. We were only at the cabin for 4 days, but could have easily spent a week or more. Access to Williams for grocery shopping, dining, cocktails, and shopping was quick and easy. The drive to Flagstaff for lunch was easy to navigate and showed us some more of the beautiful landscape of this area. The highlight of the trip was of course the Grand Canyon. We met Marvelous Marv at the Vistor's Center downtown Williams and spent the day viewing the spectacular sights of the Grand Canyon.

I would definitely stay at the Racoon Ranch again. I would love to see the grounds covered in snow, so next time we might take a winter break.

Very nice cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

Very nice--even cool in the summer (especially at night!) You will hear train whistles overnight--my kids slept right through them but I unfortunately didn't--there are disposable ear plugs offered, but I'm too, claustrophobic to tolerate them. TONS of stars at night to see!

Disappointed. Loud train and no water.

  • 1 of 5

I am giving this location one star. This is only due to the cabin structure being decent. 3 issues: 1st) There is a train running 24x7...(by estimation every 30 minutes) with a loud train whistle. Kept the kids up (and me). When we arrived there was a note in the back of the description that provided for ear plugs, but NOT practical for children. (And who wants to spend the money and wear plugs to sleep). 2nd) We spent most of our time out of the cabin during the day. We had 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts at the cabin in the first 4 nights/days. There were 2 adults and 3 small children whom did not shower everyday. The 5th night, we had no running water (according to owner the cabin ran out of water). We had hiked all day and no showers, no running water, no toilets, no drinking water except what we had left in our water bottles. We called owner and they said they would come out the next day at a time which was after we were scheduled to leave. 3rd) This third one by itself was relatively minor, but contributed to over all impressions. Pictures and description on the website had a hammock and it was broken. The combination of factors have led me and my family to not recommend this property at all.

Owner's Response: It's unfortunate that there are lying people in this world who would do or say anything for a free stay. There are so many problems here with this guest's story. The train doesn't run that often. It's three miles away. Knowing that some people will be sensitive to it, we provide white noise machines and earplugs. Most don't notice and many find it nostalgic. These guests ran through a 2250 gallon tank of water in less than 3 days, using triple the water most guests use, knew about it before they left in the morning but didn't let us know despite all instructions to let us know immediately if there was a problem. Instead waiting until it was too late to get water delivered. We offered another cabin identical to the one they stayed in where they could use the water, but they said they didn't want it. When we spoke, she told us the children showered everyday, more than once. While we strive to create perfect experiences for our guests sometimes something like the hammock being broken slips by when nobody tells us. Had they let us know a new hammock would have been dropped by immediately. We take pride in providing 5 star experiences which you can see by the majority of our reviews.

Comfortable and secure

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is exactly as pictured. Couch is like a cloud. Beds extremely comfortable.

Be prepared with food and drinks if you arrive later in the day, otherwise you have to drive a bit to get back to civilization!
