Go on holiday where the Bavarian kings once lived during the summer. From the Augustine monastery, which was grounded in 1100 and was the first fixed settlement in Berchtesgadener Land, became the smallest principality in Germany in the 15th century. Insight into the time of the provosts is provided by the collegiate church and the castle with its attractive museum. Berchtesgaden is the center of the spa region and is located in a national park. It belongs to the leading holiday regions throughout the world. Berchtesgaden can thank its early wealth to the salt mines. Now, everyone can go with the mine railroad 180 m under the earth and can trace the path of 'white gold'. In another elevation, the brick house, a historical document from the National-Socialistic architecture, a stunning view of the mountains around Watzmann. The Mozart city of Salzburg and the spa region of Reichenhall can be reached in a short time from your destination.

Golf: Our house is about 800 m from the 9 hole golf course by Obersalzberg. Play golf on the highest elevated golf course in Germany surrounded by a stunning mountain scenery.
Ski: Our house is located 750 m above sea level and surrounded by 5 ski regions. About 800 m away you can reach the very sunny family ski region 'Gutshof' on the Obersalzberg. Here you will find 4 ski lifts for very small ski beginners, but also a lot of fun for experienced skiers and snowboarders. Our nature sledding trail is located nearby and can be reached comfortably on foot. At the end of the sledding run you can enter the Obersalzberg train with your sled and go back to your starting point. Also, our cross county skiing friends can use the Scharitzkehl alpine pasture, which is about 1000 m above sea level and surrounded by a stunning mountain scenery. On 120 km of well-kept hiking paths, there are constantly new horizons in the dazzling winter landscape that open up.
