The owners of the Black Pearl Over Water Bungalow and Brando's Bora Bora Bungalow are proud to present the newly remodeled Marlon's Over Water Hideaway... Right next door to his other one. Here you can enjoy many wonderful hours -- reading a good book, marveling at the natural beauty of the area, or just doing nothing. If you wish to take a dip in the warm waters, nothing could be simpler. Just go down four steps on your private dock and dive in. Right there you can snorkel for hours, check out the thousands of colorful fish in and around the coral reef, or just lie on the beach under a palm tree, while sipping a Tahitian punch. We can help set up tours for you: Authentic Tahitian Motu picnics, Polynesian weddings, Jet skis, shark and manta ray feed, sunset sailing, scuba diving, island jeep and snorkeling tours, even a tattoo with a Tahitian master!
PLEASE NOTE: Because we have kept our prices the same for the last five years, we will be raising our rates after February 1st, 2016... Any bookings made before that date will receive the existing rates... We have tried to keep our rates the same, but operating costs have become too expensive and we must adjust to ever rising prices.
Additional Information: As the owners of the very popular Black Pearl Over Water Bungalow in Bora Bora, we can't tell you how excited we are to offer, for the first time, Marlon Brando's historic Over Water Bungalows for vacation rentals. We have remodeled the bungalow to meet the needs of our sophisticated travelers and it is beautiful. Marlon Brando owned two bungalows, one for him and one for his friends. We have purchased both. Marlon's over water hideaway is the perfect location for snorkeling, walking hiking and swimming. Paradise surrounds you. If you need help with rental cars, international or domestic flights, we can help with that too. We have many returnees and we are confident that this will be your vacation of a lifetime! Our rates are very affordable, especially if you've checked out the prices of some of the 4 and 5 star hotels on the island. Our home is a true travel bargain. Please reserve early as high season books up fast.
Car Rental: You will need a car. Other options are carts, bikes, taxi and water taxi (Not always available).
Please note: Contact our manager directly for Car Rentals. Nir's rates for his 'Client cars' are far below the rental car places on the island.
Trip, Airline, Hotel and Car Assistance!!!: We would be pleased and happy to help you with your entire trip to paradise. We can arrange your International Flights to Tahiti on any applicable carrier, as well as your Inter-Island Flights on Air Tahiti. We can also book your Hotel Accommodations and Rentals in Tahiti or on any of the other islands you might care to visit. Please email me for further information. We use Rawhide Travel for this. They have been working with French Polynesia for over thirty five years and can take care of all your travel needs. Toll free number is: 888 222-7594
We stayed at the Marlon's World Famous Over Water Hideaway for a family trip. Living over the water for the week was an amazing experience. We were up to kayak and snorkel every morning right from the deck.
We ate meals on the outside deck watching the boats pass by.
The house was tastefully furnished and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We cooked in frequently and found the kitchen well stocked with the necessities of cooking. The house has privacy despite having neighbors, they are set up to view the water, not each other.
The information from the owner made our stay even better, with information about shopping, boating and sight seeing. We enjoyed two trips on the boat tours, with the boat company picking us up right at the house! The kayak was awesome and made for a daily excursion to see what fish we could see, but the fish came right to the house on most days!
I would highly recommend a stay in this over water bungalow for a very private relaxing holiday on Bora Bora.
I must mention our new friends found thanks to the owners recommendation, Myriama Prokop's pottery shop is amazing (we came home with a few of her pieces) and her husband Roderick, who has a fantastic web site for English speaking traveler's to Bora Bora, bora- bora-insider.com which led us to many fine eateries, bakeries and events as well as a well written history of the island.
Very nice over water bungalow. You will find everything in it and the experience is faboulus. The booking was perfect, without problems, and at your arrival Mr. Nir will receive you with a smile and a lot of advices. We really recommend this accomodation as it is the only possibility to be in a beautiful place without the expensive prices of big hotels. You will not have hotel services of course, but if you are looking for peace, relax and self catering, this is the option.
Absolutely love this place! When we first arrived at the airport in Bora Bora we were blown away by all the beauty it was truly like stepping out into Paradise. There were screen saver shots everywhere you looked. Once we arrived at at Vaitape, Nir was there with our rental car. The information given by Richard (owner) were to the tee on what to expect and do. Nir was very friendly and helped us out tremendously with the box of information and phone. We arrived at our overwater bungalow and I immediately dove in to snorkel right off the porch. It was amazing! Just like having your own salt water aquarium. We went to Chen Li's and the local Super U and was able to get all we needed for our meals. We did eat out twice at Bloody Mary's and twice at a local Roulette. The bungalow was spacious and very quiet, sitting on the porch and watching the sunset every evening was priceless. We did a jet ski trip, a jeep safari, and rented a pontoon boat for the day to go around the entire island. It is all more than we expected and we loved every minute of every day. We did not want to leave but decided we would be back and looking forward to it.
If you want to have an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora and you do not stay here or at its sister property next door you are missing out on the best bargain in all of French Polynesia. This is a large, recently renovated overwater bungalow originally owned by Marlon Brando that is located on the northwest coast of Bora Bora (about 4 miles north of Vaitape) in an absolutely beautiful location. I do not even know where to begin.
Large living room that transitions into a dining area and then a kitchen---a big kitchen. Full-size refrigerator, washing machine. incredibly modern four (or was it five) glass stove top, double sink, blender, coffee machine, microwave, toaster oven, toaster and all the china, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, etc. that you could want. If I could come up with a complaint it would be that the chef knives need to be a little sharper and there should be a bread knife. That's the best I can do.
Two bedrooms. The master has a queen (or is it king) size bed and is air conditioned (The only room in the house that is air conditioned, but we froze to death before we turned the air conditioning way down.). The second bedroom has two twin beds and a REALLY good fan. The bathroom has double sinks and a huge shower with both a rain head and a hand held shower.
And then there is the porch. Huge. A table and four chairs. Two lounge chairs. A day bed. A dock with a ladder that can be lowered so that you walk into the lagoon (which offers good snorkeling) and an outdoor shower for when you come out of the salt water. Oh, and a propane gas grill!!!!
In the living room is a TV with a dvd for movies (selection quite limited but you certainly could bring your own dvds) and music. On the porch there were fishing rods (we left a nice selection of lures as our gift to the house), snorkels, masks and fins and some great tubes for just hanging out on the water. Missing. There should be some rope to tie off the tubes to the dock although they did have short tethers. No kayaks.
We cannot recommend this property too highly!!!!! It is fabulous. For 1/3 what the resorts want for an overwater bungalow you get twice what they offer. Pick up groceries at Chin Lee's or Super U for breakfast and snacks (and whatever other meals you want to fix) and definitely have a meal or three at the Bora Bora Y
Wonderful bungalow, lots of space, all you need is there. Beautyfulll view.
Much nicer and more comfortable than hotel over water bungalow (where our friends did stay), great fish and snorkeling form the deck. We did enjoy every second.
Car is definitely a plus as you are about 2 miles from next place to shop and 5 miles out of town.
Nir is great and was a very valuable help for all questions we had about the island.
I am sitting here looking out at the beautiful lagoon. This is the perfect spot for a get away vacation. The bungalow is exactly as advertised. It is clean and well maintained. We are staying for 2 weeks and found this to be the perfect spot. We rented a car from Nir and found it is almost mandatory. It is a 15 min drive or so to town (safely dodging the island dogs) for groceries and restaurants.
Richard is so easy to deal with and all his recommendations were spot on! The only small fault I would mention is that the sofa cushions could be more comfortable! Other than that, we are loving our visit and the bungalow made it that much more enjoyable!
The owners of the Black Pearl are proud to announce the acquisition and remodel of both of Marlon Brando's famous Over water Bungalows. Jack Nicholson owned #3. James Michener called Bora Bora 'The most beautiful island in the world. And it is, it really is. Bora Bora is one of the Society Islands in the South Pacific, Tahiti being the largest. It is only a seven and a half hour flight from Los Angeles and only three hours earlier PST. The same time zone as Hawaii. To get there, you take a direct flight to Tahiti and then a 45 minute island hopper to Bora Bora. You are now officially in paradise. Use your state of the art kitchen to prepare a meal, or dine out at the many fine restaurants on the island. The activities are endless if you wish to keep busy, or just lie down on the veranda, listen to the water and finish that 1000 page book you can't seem to finish. Life takes on new meaning when you are surrounded by the serenity and the beauty of Bora Bora. Come and see for yourself!
