Overview

About the property

Farmhouse, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Feel like you're getting away to the country in this early 1900's-era farmhouse, just 10 minutes to downtown Portland, and 30 minutes to world-class Willamette Valley wineries.

Here, you'll enjoy solitude and room to breathe before heading out to explore the city. You'll be centrally located to make easy day trips to wine country. Sip your coffee on the porch swing overlooking the native Northwest front garden. Or stroll around the 3/4-acre, fenced, back yard teeming with birds, frogs, butterflies and sometimes bunnies and deer.

Inside, you'll feel the warmth and charm maintained in this home, complete with a bay window and oversize original windows, arched doorways and fir floors.

Retreat to the master suite, located away from the main living spaces. Here, floor-to-ceiling windows offer a private view to the back garden. The two other bedrooms, each with full-size beds, share a jack and jill bath.

From here, it's a short two-block walk to the grocery store, Starbucks, and neighborhood pub specializing in handcrafted microbrews. Check out the eclectic mix of independently-owned shops and restaurants in Multnomah Village, less than a mile away.

Freeway access is a breeze from this central location: I-5, Hwy 217 and Hwy 26. Close to the Oregon Zoo, OMSI, Lewis and Clark College, OHSU . . . and all that is funky Portland.

The house is on a bus line and bike lane. Downtown Portland is only a 20-minute bike ride away.

We loved this house!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for five days and none of us wanted to leave. The house was so comfortable, exceptionally well stocked and the yard was beautiful... large and private and full of the colors of fall. In addition, an excellent grocery store and Starbucks were in walking distance. We loved sitting on the front porch swing and the back yard patio. On a more practical note, it was an easy starting point to navigate the Portland area and handy to downtown too. I had a question when I showed up and Carrie responded in just a few minutes. I hope that if I return to the Portland area, Carrie's little red farm house will be available.

Very beautiful property in a quite neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The house was how we expected it to be, clean rooms, sheets, towels, blankets, clean kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen was fully stocked with basic required things, nice backyard and patio.

The owner, Carrie, was responsive to any questions, very friendly conversation over phone, clear communication and hassle-free.

Overall, it was a satisfactory stay and I would not mind coming back here to stay on my next trip.

The house makes for an awesome stay! Nothing to complain about as the house was immaculate,.

  • 5 of 5

We found the house very clean and very well decorated. The beds were comfortable and even the dog that came along with us wagged his tail in joy when he entered the house. All amenities are provided for. The garden is lovely and I especially loved the fact that my bedroom opened up into the garden.

I never met the owner but my experience booking the property was very pleasant. She even called to make sure everything was going well.

I would not hesitate in returning to stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Portland or its vicinity.

Great house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location for this great little house! The neighborhood is quiet and country feeling, but still close enough to shopping in Beaverton, Tigard and even downtown. The house is well stocked with the basics and feels nice and private.
