Just wanted to let you know what a beautiful vacation home you have. We had a great time. You have everything there that anyone could want. Debbie was great. We couldn't get the TV to work and she was right there to help us. Beautiful country. Thank you very much. Janet and Rich. And Daisy too!

Relaxing Month in Wardensville

  • 4 of 5

The Rutherford chalet was immaculate and well equipped and the setting gorgeous. It was very quiet and peaceful and the property manager Debbie was delightful. The only problem we had was intermittent internet service but understand that is common in the area. We enjoyed walks all over the neighborhood and hikes up various area mountains. The Lost River Brewing Company in Wardensville was wonderful with excellent food. The local grocery store is limited in what it carries, so if you want field greens, whole grain bread, or gourmet anything you will need to bring it. If you are looking for solitude, stay in this nice chalet and enjoy the screened in porch. We sure did!

Best autumn foliage view.

  • 5 of 5

We were very lucky to have reserved the place right at the peak of the fall foliage season. The cabin sits on top of a hill and you get a breathtaking view of the mountain in front and right before the sun comes up on top of the hill, you get a peak of the lake down below. It was just a magnificent and serene view.

The house is very well maintained - it was clean, everything worked perfectly, the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities, and most importantly the bed was comfy!

The owners are very responsive and they even left us a bottle of local wine which was a nice touch.

I'd highly recommend this place. We can't wait to go back for all the other seasons.

Relaxing experience!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay for the weekend. Clean, well kept did not do the home justice! Well equipped kitchen, even most common spices. Small but cozy and comfortable. 3 bedrooms, 1 upstairs requires navigating a tight spiral staircase. Might not be doable for older people but for the young or young at heart a charming area! We went into and through Wardensville for a morning hike up to Tibbet Knob and then lunch at Lost River Brewery. Wonderful weekend with our newly married son and daughter-in-law.

Great getaway cabin

  • 4 of 5

Cabin is just as described & very well maintained. We enjoyed the fall colors & the Potomac Eagle train ride. We especially liked having breakfast on the screened porch. Owners were very prompt in refunding the damage deposit.

We'd stay there again & would recommend it to friends.
