Whether you come to partake of the Bluegrass experience or you are just looking to get away, this is the house of choice in Louisville!!! If you don't believe me - read all our reviews about what a fabulous experience our previous guests have had.
We look forward to welcoming you to Louisville!
Just wanted to let you know we enjoyed our stay at your property, and hope to use you guys each time we come to Kentucky for the National FFA Convention in the future. Parents and kids loved the setup and the creek back behind was awesome!
We loved our time at this house. While we didn't get to enjoy everything (like the large decks), we made full use of all of the space to celebrate my milestone birthday.
We made meals together in the well appointed kitchen, ate and played games together around both of the large tables, and snuggled on the comfy furniture in the living and family rooms.
The well stocked bathrooms and roomy bedrooms was perfect for our large group and we even got to enjoy the piano as one of our budding musicians played us his favorite tune.
The kids loved the table tennis and also the massive number of closets which were perfect for hide and seek!
My favorite part of the house was the gorgeous waterfall in the backyard. Even though you can't see it from the house, it is absolutely worth the walk down the hill through the soft leaves to check it out! What a gift!
While in Louisville, we went to the Mega Caverns and also explored Cave Hill cemetery, the final resting place of Muhammad Ali.
Thanks for playing a part in making my birthday special!
The home is very spacious, it is great for large families and in a nice neighborhood. The house is equipped with everything you need and the instructions for check in and check out were very easy. My family stayed here over the weekend for a wedding. The home is very nice and clean. The lighting wasn't the best for getting ready (we had 5 girls) and the house could use some updates to the dark decor and old bedding, as it would feel more clean and open. Overall we had a great experience and would stay here again!
I rent a house in the fall every year for our family (kids and grandkids). I have had varied experiences with many owners. Wendy was prompt to reply even during the booking process. She even quickly refunded my deposit.....which does not always happen. The house was ready, clean, and even included a welcoming board and some info about the area. We enjoyed our stay in Louisville.
We had a wonderful experience staying at this home. It was perfect for our group of 13 coming in from Chicago. Access to the home was easy, and when we accidentally left our keys inside Wendy was more than happy to help us gain access. We loved utilizing the outdoor deck and the basement was a fun place with the ping pong table. Truly a great place to stay and spend time with friends and family! We'll definitely be going back the next time we come down to Louisville!
This is a great house for a family stay! It is impeccably maintained and immaculate inside. Wendy is wonderful to work with, and made our stay for our son's wedding smooth and easy. This was a perfect set up for 3 families to stay and get ready for the wedding. This house was the best stocked of any VRBO house that we have rented thus far, and the beds were very comfortable.
Our family stayed at the home for our annual family vacation. It was perfect for us. Even included a baby gate to prevent our 9 month old grandson from tumbling down the stairs. We loved the extras that many rentals don't include such as paper towels, soap, napkins, tissues, etc. We loved having a living room separate from the family room & separate from the rec room. The setting was beautiful & the neighborhood extremely quiet. From the initial inquiry to the return of our deposit, everything was very trouble free. Thank you, Wendy!
Louisville was voted the #1 destination city in the country in 2014. We have a host of attractions here including Louisville Slugger Bat Factory and Museum, KY Derby Museum and Churchill Downs horse racing, Bourbon distilleries, Belle of Louisville paddle wheel boat, Louisville Stoneware pottery, The Underground Mega Cavern and ziplines, the Glassworks, Falls of the Ohio State Park, Frazier History Museum, the zoo, an amusement park, historic homes and so much more.
With one of the top culinary schools in town, we have become one of the big "foodie" cities in the country. LOTS of cuisine choices and so many restaurants from high end to a quick bite. Enjoy plenty of bourbon infused dishes and fresh farm to table meals.
There are ample bourbon experiences downtown and within one hour of Louisville are the big distilleries on the KY Bourbon Trail. They welcome guests wanting to learn about how bourbon is made and aged and of course, offering a tasting of their products! Louisville also has many bars on their Urban Bourbon Trail. Each bar has anywhere from 50 to 150 kinds of bourbon on the shelf!
We have a professional soccer team, a Triple A baseball farm team for the Cincinnati Reds, the annual Ironman competition, lots of boating and kayaking on the Ohio River, we are a cycle friendly city and there are numerous wonderful golf courses in the area. Just south of town are a number of caves for hiking, exploring and spelunking (including Mammoth Cave) and we have a terrific local park system offering the usual range of activities... hiking, tennis, baseball, BMX tracks, playgrounds, swimming, disc golf, etc. The Mega Cavern is home to the country's largest all underground BMX bike park as well as all underground zip lines, some launching from 90 feet up!
People are always amazed when they get to Louisville how much is actually here. It's pretty phenomenal so plan to come visit and stay at our wonderful, relaxing vacation home offering easy access to all of it!
