'Chestnut Cabin' is located just 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway where Mt. Pisgah, at over 5300 feet in elevation, offers hiking on marked trails with many spectacular vistas to view the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled on 2 acres of land that borders Stoney Fork Creek and the Pisgah National Forest, Chestnut Cabin offers a cabin experience while still having close proximity to the area's many tourist destinations and outdoor activities. On the property, you have access to a covered patio with a gas grill and amenities for outdoor dining. To enhance the outdoor dining experience, the covered patio has a ceiling fan, electrical outlets and outdoor furniture, including a swing and a glider. A cast iron chiminea is also provided for having a small fire, weather and burning conditions permitting. Relaxing on a huge screened porch with rocking chairs, a ceiling fan, skylights, and patio furniture will help unwind you after your daily activities. The screened porch is a perfect place for that first cup of coffee early in the morning or that favorite beverage in the evening hours.

The master bedroom with a queen-size bed is furnished with Egyptian cotton sheets, chest of drawers, TV, and a large walk-in closet. Extra linens and iron with ironing board is also available. Upstairs open area houses two twin beds, TV, chest of drawers, dresser and sitting area. Open living area, with gas firelogs situated in a rustic rock fireplace, offers additional sleeping on a queen-sized sleeper/sofa. The kitchen/dining area (and bathroom) has ceramic flooring while the remainder of the cabin is hardwood. Full bathroom with tub/shower and washer on main level. Outside clothes line available for drying.

Only 20 miles to downtown Asheville with quaint shops and a wide variety of cuisine in all dining atmospheres. Located on a dead end paved road, Chestnut Cabin offers tranquility in a quiet country setting in harmony with nature.

Comfortable and quiet

The property is very much as described. It's a little on the rustic side but that is what gives it it's charm. It's on a dead end road so there's little traffic and it feels very safe and secure. Chestnut creek is only 30 feet away and you can hear the babbling of the water clearly from the enclosed porch or the deck which is basically built over the creek. The interior is room and very comfortable. Be aware, there's no dishwasher lol. (I said it was rustic). But there's everything you need to cook and eat it. Loved this place.

Cozy Cabin With Great Location and Amenities

This cabin was absolutely perfect for a quick weekend getaway! It is only a short drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and only 30 minutes on that road to take you right into downtown Asheville. We made sure to spend some time enjoying the cabin itself, and it was the best place we could have chosen. Debbie, the property manager, was quick and helpful when we had a question about the property during our stay so thank you! If we make it to Asheville again in the future, we would definitely book this place again!

Love the cabin

It is a real log cabin with all the modern conveniences. Nicely decorated, good WI-FI service, cable TV, comfortable bed, land line phone, no cell phone service, but after I logged my cell phone with the WI-FI I could get text messages. Love our stay.

Cabin in Candler NC

Very comfortable and cozy. We loved preparing our own meals in the kitchen with fully stocked kitchenware. The master bed was a bit too soft for us, we slept in the loft on the twin beds. The cabin was clean on a lovely piece of property. We would stay again.
