The house was very pretty and clean. The location was wonderful. Those steps to the dock were no joke, but we had a great time.
Enjoyed. Boat slip was in bad shape but used other dock per property manager
Beautiful area. Loved the mountains. My girls enjoyed the beach vacations more
Not what it seems from pictures!!!!!
I would not recommend this property or stay here again. I hate dishonesty and the photos are very misleading. The view shown in the photos is NOT the view you get. Those photos are zoomed and cropped. There is a switchback road leading up to the cabin and other houses and properties in view between you and the lake. while the view isn't horrible, it is NOT as advertised.
1- photos misleading. Lots of other things in view. Not directly on the lake.
2- Dock was hard to find and stairs were overgrown with a vine. Many other properties right around there, marked no trespassing so you can't tell where you are allowed to be. It's pretty far from the cabin also.
3- Busted TV remote, husband had to rig it up with tape. Maintenance man said he would come replace it and fix light bulbs that were out, he never came back.
4- We called & left him messages after finding wasp nests all over the deck areas. He never got back up with us. We ended up buying spray & treating 11 wasp nests we found ourselves.
5- living room furniture is not what is pictured. There are less sitting chairs and they are different.
6- Hammock pictured is not usable. There are some large holes where you would sit/lay.
7- hot tub in the first picture isn't even the one at this cabin. The one here is 4 sided, and you can't see much of s view from where it is located.
8- found a razor left in the upstairs shower by previous person & missed by the cleaning lady.
9- My husband tried to straighten the rug outside the shower upstairs & found it had been there so long the backing was stuck to the floor and the rug wouldn't really come up. That means all people get out the shower & drip on it wet and it hasn't been washed. It was stuck from being there for so long. Disgusting.
10- my dad looked at the life vests provided at the house & said they are cheap junk, and that most the tags were off of them, which makes them not legal to use if checked by authorities
Overall, the inside of the house was fine, except for really questioning how well it's cleaned bc of what we found in the bathroom. The singing deer was the best part because my boys loved that. Maintenance guy needs to be more reliable & stay up on some things. Therr are things that need to be replaced, and the photos need to more accurately show what is there. I wish there was a way for me to post to show you what it really looks like.
I think the feeling was mutual with all our staff members and all the phone calling/complaining. Sometimes a review is just a reflection of who you’ve done business with. Let’s move on and welcome friendly folks to our home.
Clean property and beautiful view. Two families shared the property and there was plenty of room for all. We had a great time and would recommend to others.
Rainy Lake get away
Oh my gosh! I've never had such a rainy vacation! We made the best of it though. Very nice home and we were prepared for the walk to the dock since we read prior reviews, but my was the front "lawn" steep! This was much more secluded that we expected. Loved the fire pit and thankful for the canopy that the trees gave us from the rain. The decks are great...just wish we could have enjoyed them more due to the rain. But talk about a beautiful view over the lake. Breathtaking.
Unfortunately we lost electricity in the wee morning hours prior to our departure so we weren't able to tidy up as much as we had planned to.
Glad everyone enjoyed the view, the home, all the decking and the fire pit. Lots of unseasonable rain, usually dryer this time of year. I guess mother nature knows what she's doing. Its a minute's drive to the dock or a short, walk. Please use the paved driveway, much easier than walking in the wet grass. This home sits lake front so know there's a few neighbors but no one is on top of you. Great for family's looking for seclusion and to spend time together. Easy paved road access to neighboring towns in every direction, restaurants and marina's on and around the lake. Its just that kind of getaway. From all the rain a tree fell across the power line just thankful power was restored quickly that afternoon. Come again and see dryer days.
Everything was great. And Rose the care taker is the greatest.
