Oceanwood Villa near Coast Cottages is a 4 story dream home built in 2011. The villa is a special place where the whole family or close friends can come together under one roof with plenty of space! It features over 4200 sq ft of luxury accomodations. The home has space enough for the kids, grand kids and adults with 7 bedroom suites all having private baths. Various nooks and sitting rooms make this home special as do the open kitchen and living area on the main level. There is even a seperate living area for the kids.
The villa features an amazing 400 sq ft rooftop terrace from which you can watch the sunrise over the Atlantic or the sunset over the marsh. That makes this location quite possibliy the BEST spot at East Beach.. Just a short walk from Oceanwood Villa is St. Simons' best beach. Here you will find fine pure white sugar sand and a tranquil ocean.
Oceanwood Villa has 4 levels. The architect's vision was to create a charming residence where 1920's design meets 21st century extravagance! The villa's furnishing's and decor were meticulously choosen to fulfill that vision.
Here the highlights of each level:
The terrace level features a gated enclosed private courtyard with live oaks and palm trees, an inviting pool to soak in after a day at the beach and an outdoor shower to rinse the sand and salt off your body. There is a large deck the rests under a massive Water Oak with plenty of seating and a gas grill. The foyer entrance is tabby stone and you can access the 2 1/2 car garage and elevator from this level. On this level is a game room with a ping pong table.
The second level has a kids living area with flat screen TV, Playstation 3, games & movies, 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms, 2 bedrooms have 2 sets of bunks in each room, 2 bedrooms have 2 twins in each room and a queen sleeper sofa. The laundry room is located here as well. This level sleeps 12-14.
The third level features an open gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, a warming drawer, 2 ovens, a trash compactor, refridgerator and microwave. The dining area can seat up to 20 for those memorable family gatherings. A covered porch has an outdoor dining table. The open living area features a 55' smart television and has 2 full sized couches and an oversized chair. This level has a walk in pantry and a powder room with one of the master suites off this floor.
The fourth level has two massive master suites each with double vanities, private commode, bath tub and separate oversized tile shower. One suite has a covered porch overlooking Coast Cottages with chairs and table. This room also has a flat screen television. The common area features a morning kitchen with coffee maker, small refridgerator and ice maker. The sitting area is a place to catch up on e-mails and relax with your coffee.
The rooftop terrace has long range views of the Atlantic to the east and Bloody Marsh to the west. The rooftop has 6 adorondak chairs. The rooftop has soft sconce lighting for nighttime gatherings and a music keypad to play CD's, I Pod or radio.
Oceanwood has over 4,200 square feet of luxury beach side living with breath taking views which makes it a wonderful place to vacation.

Oceanwood Villa weekly guests will check in at 4 PM Saturday and check out at 10 AM the following Saturday when I have back to back reservations. A later check out is possible if I do not have guests coming in that same day.
Short term guests will follow the same check in/check out times. There is a 3 night minimum on short term stays.

Saint Simons Island offers many unique opprtunities to recreate and dine in a small seaside town feel. A festive vibe infuses the downtown area where storefronts hold seafood restaurants, bars, antique shops, an old time hardware store, ice cream palor and art galleries. The coast of this 43 square mile Island is largely undeveloped and water sports abound. You can try your hand at kite surfing, take a fishing charter, go ocean kayacking or just walk the miles of pure white sugar sand beach. We feel in love with the Live Oaks draped with Spanish Moss that make this island a true gem of the Golden Isles.
The rooftop deck with ocean view is a great place to sunbath or relax with a glass of wine in the evening. The home has plenty of privacy while providing a main level for all to gather and share meals.
Perfect for large group. Comfortable and convenient
We had our entire family at this home for Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and it's amenities. We rode bikes into town, played Texas Holdem, watched some bowl games, and cooked for everyone . The double ovens proved to be vital not to mention having an elevator to get your luggage and groceries to their floor. The kids enjoyed the PlayStation 4 on their own floor! I recommend this home and we will be back.

The house is down the street from the beach. We had plenty of parking for 4-5 cars and includes a garage . Kids loved the game room on the second floor. They played Xbox every night and stayed up laughing and having a great time until way after midnight. There were even a few nights all five kids passed out on the sectional couch. Elevator made it easy with groceries. The top of the house was a great place to gather after a long day at the beach. We could see fireworks from four different locations at the same time. Bill, the owner, was very nice and responsive to our requests. It is a great house!
Our family stayed at this home in June 2017. This is a lovely home. We were just a few minutes walk to the beach, very easy access and a great beach that is family/children friendly. The rooms in this home are big and there was more than enough space for the 12 people we had. The main dining area has two large dining tables which provided plenty of room and made family meals fun. The bathrooms were very nice with plenty of room, had very nice tile and the showers were really nice and big. The master bedroom and its bathroom were especially nice. The home's elevator worked perfectly (and safely) and made loading and unloading very simple. The appliances are modern and worked well. The entertainment system worked well and included premium cable channels and a good selection of DVD movies to choose from. The pool was always clean as it is programmed to filter and clean a couple times a day. Being a pool owner myself, I tested pool chemistry and everything was well within clean and healthy specifications. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation at this home. The only detractor from this property, in my opinion, is the home's furniture. Most furnishings are "tired", not very clean, and not very comfortable. For example, as you enter the home, there is a small decorative bistro set by the front door. It is rusted, old and dirty and detracts from this lovely home. The couches on the second and third floors were dirty and uncomfortable, the couch pillows were dirty. The bedding is old and was somewhat uncomfortable, the linens were worn, but were clean. The pillows were wafer thin. The carpeting in the second floor bedrooms was stained in many areas and was very unsightly. The area rugs in the main dining area were dingy and dirty, although they were well vacuumed for our arrival. We also noticed a few small cockroaches on the second and fourth floors. Overall, this is a lovely property to have a memorable family vacation, however, I think the property could be vastly improved with an investment in new furniture, bedding, and area rugs.
This was a great house for a big group.
