My wife and I are both Clemson graduates and we love the Hendersonville area! It is such a great place to visit year round. We are happy to open the doors of our home to you and love to hear stories of the memories that people have made at the Blue Ridge Cabin!
Brandon Rogers purchased this cabin in 2012
We love the Hendersonville area! There is always something going on in Hendersonville, regardless of what season it is. There are great shops and restaurants downtown and endless outdoor activities to do that are just a short drive from the Blue Ridge Cabin. Bringing our family to spend a few days at the Blue Ridge Cabin is one of our favorite things to do!
We purchased this property because it was the perfect blend of being close to town and yet very secluded with great views. The open floor plan is perfect for spending time together on family vacations. We love rocking on the porch taking in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains! There's nothing like relaxing in the hot tub after a long lazy day of vacation.
This was the second time my wife and I stayed at this cabin and had another very enjoyable trip. Everything was just as it was a year ago when we came last. It is an easy place to relax and has lots of privacy. Would not hesitate to come back again! Thanks for everything Brandon!
Like most things in life staying away from home has it good points and its bad points. Staying at this cabin is no different. First the good. If you are looking for and adventure with a view this is the place for you. It is almost at the top of the mountain and the view is to die for. For those looking for a romantic get a way the view, hot tub and fireplace are just what the doctor ordered. The owners of the cabin have tried to think through what you might need for an extended stay and have supplied most of what you will need while on your trip. The beds in the rooms are very comfortable and have very nice coverings. The couches in the living room fit nicely and are very comfortable. But along with the good comes the bad. The master shower leaks into the kitchen although it is not overwhelming. There is no heat in the up stairs master bathroom which makes it challenging to go to the bathroom on a cold winter night. The floors creek badly which causes a problem is you are trying to sleep in a room below. Regulating the temperature in the cabin is also challenging. The dish washer does not really work very well and the couch/bed in the play room is horrible. My kids choose to sleep on the couches in the living room rather than in the playroom. In conclusion the cabin needs some updating and repairs but in general it was a fun place to stay.
With the recent wildfires in then GSMNP; we thought our plans for our 19 yr anniversary were ruined until we found this place.
What an amazing view and place to relax. We will definitely come back to the area and stay again. The cabin was welcoming, and cozy. We enjoyed our brief stay in the area and have always enjoyed the Hendersonville area.
This cabin is wonderful! The hot tub is new and clean. Very private, 2nd to last house on mountain road. Asheville is 35 mins away! We will stay here again!
The cabin was exactly as described. A rustic cabin but with all the modern conveniences. It was very clean, no smells and in good shape.
There were plenty of laundry supplies, hand soap, dish soap, towels, paper products, garbage bags, hot tub towels, and lots of kitchen utensils. Large/clear tv, dvd, movies, games, and game room.
Our phones worked just fine and the Wi-Fi signal was strong in the cabin.
The house does not have central air but the loft has a window unit. The loft/master bedroom was very roomy, yet the master bathroom was small.
The drive to the cabin is very steep but luckily on a paved road. Definitely get directions from the owner beforehand, our GPS stopped working halfway up the mountain.
As much as we liked the cabin, there's not really any empty/flat land around the cabin for walking, sitting, etc. It's mostly all trees on a pretty severe slope, which blocks a lot of the view you would have from being high in the mountain. You can see the city lights from the loft window, and the tops of the mountains off in the distance, but that's about it.
The area was very quiet. A great place to go to relax.
The town was a good 15 minutes away and it was an easy route to get there.
The deck was beautiful and a wonderful place to sip coffee in the morning and enjoy the hot tub.
Lovely spacious cabin, very clean and well equipped, lovely views of the mountains, hot tub nice to have a relax, great location to visit the Pisgah Mountains, downtown Hendersonville, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, would highly recommend, Brandon very helpful and answered all communications, thank you for the rental of the cabin.
