|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
The Point at Sandpoint is where dreams become memories. It's your own private, luxury retreat. From the moment you enter the massive double wood doors, you'll feel a part of something magical. Picture two private, wooded acres that open up to a custom home on 365' of flat, private Lake Pend Oreille waterfront. Two sandy beaches and incredible panoramic lake and mountain views await you! The swimming is clear, shallow and warm in summer. All this and you're just moments from the charming shops and restaurants of Sandpoint.
Explore the lake by kayak, canoe, stand up paddle board or power boat. 'Hit it' waterskiing, wakeboarding or inner tube right outside your front door. Fish from the dock for small mouth bass or rainbow trout. Build sand castles on the beach or play volleyball or croquet on the large, grassy lawn. Soak your cares away and enjoy the views from the huge hot tub. Schweitzer Mountain is just 11 miles away for all winter snow sports or for hiking, sightseeing, mountain biking and berry picking in summer.
A large variety of wildlife abound here. Ospreys, Bald Eagles, river otters, deer, moose, geese, swans, coots, loons and an abundance of fish all live here. Fall and spring bird migrations are fantastic!
The home itself was custom designed to reflect the natural beauty of the area and the special relationship the Kootenai and Pend Oreille Native Americans had with this region. Cedar, pine, hickory, granite, slate and large stones are used throughout. Designed by well known architect, Jon Saylor, The Point has separate 'pavilions'.
The Great Room Pavilion is spacious, yet intimate. Cedar, wood-beam ceilings soar to 24 feet, but the plush, comfortable furnishings keep conversations easy and familiar. Floor to ceiling windows give you the feeling of being surrounded by water. Listen to the lake lap outside as you relax in the sitting area, and watch eagles and ospreys hunt for a fresh fish dinner.
When it’s cold outside, radiant heated floors silently warm you from the toes up. A massive river stone fireplace anchors the Great Room. Remarkable for its artistic 'dry stack' masonry, it burns real wood with ease thanks to an instant gas starter.
The heart of any home is its kitchen. The Point is no exception. An immense gourmet workspace allows a commanding view of the Great Room, lake and guests. Multiple chefs can work freely on the expansive granite counter tops while friends and family gather around the 'U' shaped alder bar to watch the culinary action. Stainless appliances, warming drawer, a five burner gas range and other amenities make the cooking fun and easy.
A true hub, from the kitchen you're just steps to the lawn, deck, breezeway, and family room. An informal dining area right next to the kitchen makes serving easy. In summer dine al fresco on the covered deck. The natural gas barbeque right outside the door is perfect for grilling.
The Breezeway Pavilion features an entire glass wall that lifts up and hides above a cedar ceiling -- all at the touch of button. Watch a thunderstorm roll in or walk out to the stone, amphitheatre steps that lead down to a flat, grassy lawn -- perfect for volleyball, croquet or horseshoes (all provided).
The Family Room Pavilion is that perfect escape room for kids and adults. It's stocked with games, kid toys, 60" Plasma HD TV, BluRay, PS4 and surround-sound theatre system. As a 5th bedroom, the Family Room also has 2 bunk beds, plus 2 twins built in the custom window seat, and 2 singles -- for an additional 8 beds. Ideal for cousins, grandkids or the perfect 'teen' hangout.
The Sleeping Pavilions form a separate wing of the house. Accessed by a long, generous art corridor with deep, plush carpeting and capped off with a solid wood door, the bedrooms offer a serene escape from the rest of the house. This separation allows early and late risers to enjoy themselves without waking the household. ALL bedrooms have incredible lake views!
The Master Bedroom Pavilion offers a beautiful King size bed, luxury linens, private patio, and an adjoining Office with Daybed and twin trundle. High speed, secured internet is provided throughout the property. The Master Bath is luxurious with a Jacuzzi tub for 2, granite countertops, slate shower with 2 showerheads and a separate dressing area. A large hot tub is accessible on the stone patio with breath-taking views of the lake.
Three additional bedrooms have Queen beds, all dressed with organic luxury linens.
The Point at Sandpoint offers different experiences in each season. During the warmer seasons, everything revolves around the lake. A private dock with boat lift and 2 jet ski lifts will insure your water toys are safely stored. 2 stand up paddle boards, single kayak and double kayak are included, as well as sand toys and outdoor games to help with play time.
There is a minimum age to rent this home (35 plus please) and we do not allow weddings, receptions and events over 20 people (due to home capacity, neighborhood & insurance reasons). Thank you.

The home is all on one level, professionally decorated and thoughtfully appointed. Luxury, organic linens will be found on all beds and in all bathrooms.
The views are simply amazing here. The breezeway room is incredible - push a button and a glass door rises up and hides away behind a custom cedar ceiling. Radiant stone heated floors in winter time, air conditioning in the summer. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards included. The best luxury home on the lake.
The Point at Sandpoint is where dreams become memories. It's your own private luxury retreat. This one-level, 5 BR, 3.5 BA luxury home is just 3 miles from Sandpoint - with sweeping 280 degree views on 365' of flat, private waterfront. Sleeps 16.
We stayed at the Point at Sandpoint property for 3 days in January and the stay was nothing short of amazing. The house itself far exceeded expectations. The house is beautiful and so well stocked with everything you can imagine (kitchen items, cleaning supplies, towels, games, etc). The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is a very nice perk. The property being on the lake is gorgeous. The lake was partially frozen but it was stunning. The drive to Schweitzer Mountain Resort was quick (about 25 minutes) and the drive to Sandpoint was less than 10 minutes. I can't say enough, how great the stay was. 16 family/friends were comfortable and everyone enjoyed it. Theresa from the management company was very nice, responsive and helpful. We will absolutely be back.
An absolute stunning property with world class management. "The Point" is an exceptional property that delivers in every aspect. If you are looking for a stunning get away don't look any further. From the view to the furnishings this home on the water is a perfect get away. Kellee and her team represent the best in property management. Kellee and this beautiful home come with our highest recommendation. The Shawver's
We booked the house for a relatively large group for a surprise Mother's Day weekend. The entire family couldn't stop talking about the beauty of the house and the location. All of the details of the home were well thought out and made for an extraordinary experience for all. The house is only ten minutes from town, but you wouldn't know it when you get there because the way the house is situated makes you feel the seclusion that many hope for when heading to a lake home.
Awesome time overall and we hope to be back sooner than later.
Our group had an amazing time at this gorgeous home! The house was well stocked with everything we could ever want or need, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Short drive to grocery stores and town. The management company made the whole renting experience incredibly easy and were very responsive to any questions or requests. This was the best rental experience I've ever had! Absolutely will try to return again in the future!
THIS VACATION WAS INCREDIBLE! EVERY DETAIL FROM THE SPECTACULAR LOCATION RIGHT DOWN TO THE LINENS WAS BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE REALLY ENJOYED THE AMAZING OUTSIDE FROM THE BEACH TO THE PADDLEBOARDS AND KAYAKS TO THE MANY SEATING AREAS TO TAKE IN THE AWESOME VIEWS. THE KITCHEN WAS BEAUTIFUL AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. WE LOVED HOW THE GREATROOM WAS OPENED TO THE KITCHEN AND ALL THE WINDOWS WITH THE PANORAMIC VIEWS OF THE WATER AND MOUNTAINS. THIS WAS MY FIRST VACATION SINCE MY ACCIDENT 14 YEARS AGO. THE HOME WAS VERY ACCESSIBLE FOR MY WHEELCHAIR. WE ALL DECIDED WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN NEXT YEAR. THANKS KELLEE FOR MAKING OUR VACATION PERFECT!
This home is amazing! I had to promise our group that we would one day return to the property. The excellent experience started with the managment company, they made the event a real pleasure. The house was in excellent conditioin when we arrived and the furnishings were outstanding. We had a chef that joined us for the weekend, and he was in heaven cooking in the executive kitchen. Some of our highlights included the paddle boards, kayaking, and the tremendous views from the front deck!
Silverwood Theme Park is 30 minutes away. Schweitzer Mountain is just 11 miles and is the *largest* ski mountain in Idaho. Western Pleasures Guest Ranch offers sleigh rides in winter & horseback riding in summer.
