About this property

Quiet, Charming & Beautiful 2 Bedroom Cabin on the Little Red River

This beautiful cabin nestled in a wooded area on the Little Red River near Pangburn. Perfect getaway place for personal discovery or recreation. The cabin’s rustic charm blends with its natural surroundings and the location offers a feeling of seclusion yet it is conveniently located to the towns of Pangburn and Heber Springs and their plentiful options for outdoor recreation, unique shopping and dining.
The exterior of the cabin is Cypress with a metal roof (great on rainy days), features two great decks overlooking the river, a screened in porch with a daybed that is ideal for napping or sleeping to the sounds of the outdoors. A rock walkway leads you to your private fishing dock where you can catch trout in your own backyard or just sit and enjoy the river and watch the trout rise and meet the two winged residents that include geese, ducks, kingfishers, bald eagles and great blue heron.

Beautiful Space: The interior is professionally decorated and features beautiful tongue & groove pine throughout; it is extremely comfortable and offers all the conveniences & style of contemporary living. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There are 1 ½ baths, an incredible living space with an awesome fireplace. The cabin has a small perfectly appointed kitchen and adjoining dining area that seats six. The cabin will accommodate up to 2 couples or a single family. You can sleep 6 if you use the sofa & sleeping porch. Or one of the blow up mattresses. This place is so cozy and romantic you will not want to leave.

Gateway to the Ozarks: Whether sporting or relaxing this Little Red River getaway is the perfect home base from which to enjoy the River Valley. While known for its world class trout fishing, this cabin is conveniently located at the gateway to the Ozarks, should you desire to venture out for some incredible Arkansas day trips. However, you don’t have to go anywhere; the nearby town of Pangburn (Pop. 500) is 2 minutes away. It has a grocery store; you can rent movies and Pangburn has a few restaurants including Southern Girls BBQ, The Mercantile (great burgers and a variety of food)and a pizza joint that delivers to the cabin. The tobacco shop next to the Dollar Store has fishing equipment and supplies. Heber Springs & Greers Ferry Lake with its quaint little shops and art galleries is only 15 minutes away. Heber has a hip coffee shop called the Jitterbug Coffee House where you can work the community jigsaw puzzle. The Gem Theater shows current feature films. Heber Springs has lots of dining options.

Local Flavor: We often recommend Zeke and Lizzy's Seafood and Steakhouse in Heber Springs it also has a bar (private membership) great food and friendly service! Greer’s Ferry Lake is also only 15 minutes away from Camp David, so if you desire “big water” you can rent a boat or launch yours at Dam Site Marina and spend a day on the lake. At Camp David you can read & relax while enjoying the sights and sounds of the wildlife or fish the World Class Trout Waters of the Little Red River in your backyard. Nap on the sleeping porch, sit by the fire or you may venture out and enjoy everything the area has to offer…it’s your time you can do everything or just enjoy doing nothing. Looking forward to our next visit!
Once again, we had a lovely visit at Camp David. I’ve lost count on how many times we’ve stayed here. We’re already planning another visit later this year.

Feels like coming back to your family's home
We wanted to spend time in a quiet relaxing place to recharge, which Camp David did provide to us. Once we entered the cabin, we were wrapped by the comfort. The cabin was very cozy with good vibes and we felt like we came back home! We unfortunately experienced an unexpected city water main break for one day, however David was responsive to our message and reimbursed any purchase for store bought water needed. We will come back to Camp David soon.

We’ve already booked another stay at Camp David!
My mom turned 80 this fall and we celebrated at Camp David during our annual fall trip to Arkansas. I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve stayed here. The cabin is always clean, cozy and well-equipped. I can’t wait to return in March!

A slice of paradise
This river front cabin is everything you want and more. The charming outside is just a hint of what's inside. It is a cozy, quaint cabin that is tastefully and comfortably styled. We enjoyed using the beautiful fireplace as well as the fire pit out back. The screened porch was my happy place:) We enjoyed the peace and quiet while sitting on the deck looking at the river. David is a very good host. You'll love it.

Southern boy, fly fisherman that moved to Arkansas from the cement forest of Dallas, Texas to finish college in 1977. I loved the Natural State and made Little Rock my home.

Why they chose this property

After years of spending time on the Little Red River and often dreaming about "one of these days I want a place on the Little Red River". One of these days finally arrived when we found the perfect cabin and location for our family. We enjoy spreading the love and the "river-time "experience with others looking to getaway for a weekend, a week or longer.

What makes this property unique

Completely charming and romantic cabin with a beautiful fireplace that is a work of art. The cabin is nestled in a canopy of trees on a world class trout stream only an hour and 15 minutes from my house. Secluded. What else is there?
